  1. It can be really difficult. It takes some getting used to and definite trial and error. I get ideas in my head that never translate into brick. There are some cool pieces that are very difficult to use. It took me a long time to get a knack for it. And, really, it was the work of Sir Nadroj that really unlocked the possibilities for me. So, don't give up! Looking forward to seeing some Sci-Fabuland MOCs from Si-MOCs! Was there ever any doubt? Oh, it's all that and more! Thanks, Dale! Good to hear from you. Funny, I didn't know what SNOT technique you meant. I'm so used to using headlight bricks I don't think of them as "not on top". Every LUGBulk I've participated in, I've ordered 100's of headlight bricks. I love them. They are Fabuland MOC crack. Mortar and pestle. There's a whole conversation about that thing at the beginning of this thread. Good old fashioned gravity! I've heard some people complain that it is not a legitimate building technique. To them I say, "Shut up". I mean, really, who are we to deny a basic power of the physics of the universe. Nobody here has the authority to deny gravity the right to be a building technique.
  2. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing. ZZzz
  3. That would've given you plenty of time to play! Feel better?
  4. At least one of those predictions is accurate.
  5. Look at me! I made the front page! Thanks Rufus! Of course! All those bottles are just different colors of resurrection juice! Every character comes back to life to play again. Sorry I wasn't around earlier to clear that up, though I'm glad you've got the answer. It is a great piece, isn't it? I didn't realize it was only in one set in brown! Where'd I get five of them? FABULAND hoarder... That piece was the whole basis for this creation. I've been wanting to use it that way for some time and also thinking FABULAND needed an Apothecary. Voila, I got this! Thanks! Frogs? Are there frogs in there? They're obligatory you know. I have to come up with a new conversion clue. The brown frog will be way too obvious now, don't you think? They sure are! The full piece comes apart from the base, so that is just the top I, of course, was thinking of you when I was building it. Will you be playing The Forest II?

  7. Probably because it's not a common household item. I wasn't even sure I had it right until I looked it up. And before I looked it up I had no idea which one was which. The mortar is the bowl. The pestle is the crushy thing, in this case, I just used the Collectable Minifig paintbrush.
  8. Mortar and pestle?
  9. Hey kiddies, Here's another creation from my FABULAND Builders Guild collection: Firuz Fox is FABULAND's resident Alchemist. He mixes his concoctions and consults FABULAND's public on how to stay healthy in the FABULAND Apothecary. He sells his remedies and gives healthy living advice every day, but the people of FABULAND can't help but be suspicious of the mysterious and clever Alchemist. There are rumors that strange glows appear through the windows, late at night, illuminating the multi-colored bottles in the windows... Check out the full gallery on BrickZone.net or Flickr. I am getting ready for a FABULAND Mafia game later this month, so I'm refurbishing some of my older FABULAND MOCs. This one is an update of Dempsey Dog's Bookstore:

  11. That's pretty vaguely specific, Bob... I'll tell you what I mean in two days GMT.

Police Infiltration: A Mafia School Game In the happy town of Kirksville the citizens are mostly well behaved, but those intent on breaking the law are dealt with efficiently by the large police department. Unfortunately, the falling crime rates are not to everyone’s tastes, and in an effort to “represent their business interests” the local Mafia have had to resort to infiltrating the police themselves. As events take a turn for the worse for the Chief of Police, the station is forced into lockdown and the Police workers and the Mafiosos are forced to deal with each other in the most basic terms, as they fight for the future of Kirksville. 13. It is a very good MOC, too, by the way. Very creative.
  14. You may want to google hymen.
  15. What's the extra B for? Self contained underwater breathing bitch apparatus?
  16. I'm so disappointed in the two of you! Is that anyway to treat an eager new member? With cynicism and derision, :hmpf:s and :tongue:s? I sure hope you reconsider and give him a chance. I'm sure he'll be amazing! Every Mafia School game should have a 12 year old lawyer. The game has changed quite a bit since you last played. Maybe they'll let you in for a refresher. That'd be cool. Welcome back.
  17. Oooh, ahead of the game. Kissing the teacher's collective megablocks will get you in for sure. Already knows the rules...
  18. Pandora and Rick, there should be a lesson about "Not being a dick" in your Mafia School. Just a suggestion.
