I'm just surprised we haven't heard the same from the rest of the Scum team...

He should've let Bob in on the plan then. I don't know. This is a little late to come to his defense and sounds a bit more like justification after the fact.

Allowable is an acceptable word, but perhaps you were looking for permissible. I just stick to putting no clues in the pictures that have to do with anyone's role or affiliation. Well, after The Forest, I suppose as I did it in there maybe a bit too much. But, I've learned that there's no place for it in these visual games. It's funny, I used to do it all the time, all hosts did. People with night actions showed up late to the day thread, I left the killer's gloves on a character in the first Baritones. But the play here has evolved where that sort of thing is too obvious. Like blatantly showing a figure's body like Dragonator did to the killer in the first Mystery Castle. Oops! Yes, we've all learned and evolved as a community. Now, I just like to put the little indicators (no kill and a brown frog means conversion) that have become code but then put enough crap in to keep everyone guessing at what, if anything, it means.

Yes, it probably is my fault. -

I learned that once too but I don't care any more. I make it clear that the pictures don't mean anything and if people want to try to make sense of them, it's their game to do that with. If the Town want to fall for it, it's their fault for not listening to the host the first time. That being said, I have done exactly what you've done in past games and I would do it again if need be. I totally stand behind the notion of the host being neutral and while not giving either side an advantage, a host should definitely make sure he doesn't accidentally give a side a disadvantage. Nor should you. The "you" in the instance you quoted was clearly (to me anyway) Flipz. -
Excalibur -- Confirmation and Discussion

Make sure to stay tuned for some new developments on the Excalibur front. Your game may not be over after all. Living and dead players should keep watching this forum for a new announcement coming soon. -
Excalibur -- Confirmation and Discussion
Hinckley replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yeah, seriously. That's a much better tactic. I don't pretend to have never been a douche myself. Although, I will say, that even being constructive doesn't guarantee the host will be receptive to feedback. -
Excalibur -- Confirmation and Discussion

I'll throw in my two cents by saying anybody who ever has a problem with how the host is running a game should save their pants-wetting rants until the game has concluded. Even if your objections are valid, it's up to the host's discretion to run the game. Wait until the end before you question her or him, because you may not understand the game's mechanics until all is revealed. Not to mention, you may just ruin the entire game by flipping out. Look at me, I'm punny. Dragonator chooses hosts because he trusts them to run a game. As a player, you should respect the host to run the game. Even if you disagree with the host's decisions about mechanics, the concerns should be addressed in a constructive and respectful manner during the game's conclusion and subsequent feedback. -
Figures go for a lot on eBay too. No worries! You don't seem too whiny. Yellow vs. Fleshy, bley vs. grey, etc. arguments are just kind of tired and usually get people arguing over opinions, which is wasted energy. You'll tend to see a lot of those conversations shot down around here in favor of focusing on the positives and staying creative and proactive in the hobby. Hobbies should be fun, so have fun!

Sell what you don't want on Bricklink. Make money to buy more. Or if you don't want them, send them to me. Or you can just continue to cry about yellow minifigs which doesn't get you anywhere.

Google Malware warning
Hinckley replied to Phantom59's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Please be aware that since your signature contains pictures hosted at technicbricks, Eurobricks users are getting malware warnings in any topic you've posted in. Please help us by rectifying this at your earliest convenience. Thank you. -
It appears the warning is about content from storage.technicbricks.com. It appears this is due to a picture in a member's signature. Thank you for brining this to our attention. In the future, please be careful about how you word the topic and content of such a post as we don't want to cause any unnecessary worry for other members. The warning about malware is not directly related to any Eurobricks content. Thank you.

Nope, that was me. See? Therefore your title is Sandwich Stealer. Need to get the format right. Titles change frequently around here. We can't index these if you don't post your title in the post your referencing it in. And Pep, it should be bold. I was drunk. Couldn't remember who said it, which is why you both temporarily had it. Now I know. Thanks.

I didn't play, so I can't offer any input. You can start a poll if you like.

Prune Face!!! Best noob ever. Great meeting you. Thanks for joining our mad little corner of the world. You are Prune Face now. Perfect. Thanks for your endless help and bottomless bottle of Jameson.

I will ban you if you ever visit that folder again. No joke emoticon, totally serious.

Sorry about that, guys. Just an oversight on our part.

In the future we will merge all topics about Bricklink site availability with this one. Sorry about the thread closing. We get a lot of topics about when Brickshelf goes down, that are so frequent we usually refer people to our massive "Brickshelf up, down, who know?" mega-thread. Sometimes we get them confused. Hope that Brickworld order got through!

Thanks for stopping by here and following up. I believe Ricecracker closed the thread so the conversation could continue in private. As you see now, it's open again as are many topics questioning how we do things here. As far as sounding harsh, thanks for the apology. My best advice for that is to never fly off half-cocked on the internet, especially when you are representing an entire community.

Bane, I would suggest watermarking photographs that you have the "copyrights" to. That way, others know immediately who to source and ... well, the pictures source themselves when there's a watermark.

Some people just aren't blessed with the gift of thinking before speaking. Or being able to proofread ... or not using bold colored text when making a normal post ... I'm going to remove that ridiculous poke emoticon just because it's over-used here by little smartasses.
