I dont want to sound insulting but how can you say in the same sentence that Eowyn helmet is ''special'' and recognizable while Gondor helmet is not the same and can be done from other generic parts............ those 2 helmet are exactly the same in those terms....... Eowyn is as easy to make with current parts as armies of Gondor are........... Faramir is the easiest, IF, you decide to give him the hood + cloak and make him ranger and duplicate his look when ambushing Oliphonts on the way to Mordor.................

This is the only LEGO LOTR idea of Minas Tirith that I supported, it looks fairly in proportions in its own size and looks decent with detail...... Now the only problem is get it below 3000 pieces to make it 350 or 400$ set :P

I am not a MODDER or a big MOCCER :) so for me such beauty does barely exist, especially with bigger sets...... I did not need to mod of mor Bag End because it looks great...... and thats a good example of what I expect from LEGO if they want my money :)

Well Wall of Minas Tirith was white..... not fugly with sand green forgotten like fort.... Actually if I recall from book the 1st wall of the city was black like Orthanc right? Unbreakable....... You alone said brick built fell beast would look ''crap'' compared to Smaug and other molded creatures, and I believe it would go the same for Oliphont then or double standards? And even if we keep the brick built Oliphont, there is no sane expectation in expecting Fell beast Witch King, Theoden, Merry, Eowyn Oliphont and possibly two Easterling soldiers (commander + archers) too big and diverse for 1 set.....imo...

I always thought you support ideas that you find attractive and good looking not just because someone else is supporting it, sheep mentality is not close to me really :P

Well you could always put dead brick built Oliphont (half of it or something) near it..... 300 pieces + creature Witch King, Eowyn (with hair) Merry and Theoden on ground dying............ 350 pieces set with 3,5 figs (or 4 but i could hobbits and dwarves as 0,5 fig due to missing normal legs) for 70$ or maybe even Mines of Moria price point which I think was 79.99 As for Minas Tirith, I personally think Gates of Minas Tirith + wall should only be slighly (maybe 2-3 extra bricks higher) than Helm's Deep deep wall......... to save on bricks, you really made a majestic gates which I like, but its probably 20% too big for a good 140$ set..... My personal dream wave would be liek that: Gates of Minas Tirith with Grond, 8 figs --- Gothmog, Mordor orcx3, Gandalf, Pippin and Gondor archers x2 140$ - 1400 pieces Witch king set with dead brick built Oliphont 4 figs --- Witch King, Eowyn, Merry and Theoden 70$ or 80$ - 350 pieces White City wall 6 figs --- 3(or 4) mordor orcs (2x armored) 2(or 1) Gondor Soldier with shield and spear and Faramir in Gondor knight attire on a horse! 40$ 180 pieces roughly Balrog set - Brick built Balrog similar to the one on some posters....2 figs --- Gandalf the gray with new face print and Boromir(since we only got 1) 20$ 120 pieces (or make it 27.99$ and add another Moria Orc archer) Now the eye glaring is 4 figs for 70 or even 80$ but considering we would get a whole Fell beast and Witch King helmet I think its a fair price for a set that would otherwise cost around 40 or 50$...... And then such wave could open a beatiful D2C set that would roughly look like this:

Its a great set, but I would rather it was smaller aka, no fell beast 2 gondor archers Gandalf the white and then Gothmog, Grond 3 Orcs and a Troll possibly.......... and a tad smaller thant that..... to put it within about 1600 pieces (with Grond) and 140$ price point Its kinda pointless to have Gates of Minas Tirith without the main thing to destroy it, which woudl be the main feature for playing with.... Fell beast should have its own set with Eowyn, Witch King and Theoden in it........... And then as before me was said, a white wall expansion army builder with Faramir in gondor knight attire on horse (and helm ofc) Gondor soldier (with shield and spear) and 3 regular Orcs with Catapult from the Pirate Ship Ambush............ or maybe 2 Orcs and 1 Haradrim/Easterling if no Oliphant woudl be planned :P

Well I buy sets and display them, but I always add more, barrels, foilage, citizens, troops, food, flowers etc around it, so not sure what that puts me under :P

Yes I can but no I do not want..... We can MOC many things and we can even wait for molds from Brickarms etc. but I dont want them............. I am personally not a MOCers (atleast not in big MOCs only do small vignettes that are under 300 pieces) and for display I have purely sets with additional details (mainly foilage, barrels, animals, weapons, armor, troops etc......... But the core is a stand alone set like MMV with more civilians mroe guards, more trees and barrels etc.

No but having it half enclosed (50% in 1 wall not everything seperate woudl be far better...... for display purposes.... otherwise i agree Miens of Moria was a cool set, the only problem i had was shield from Uruks in it and i would prefered 1 extra Moria Orc with helmet ofc :P

License is 100% sure not ending this year.... otherwise they couldnt sell sets they made and are releasing this year lol................. think! :P

problem is if its too fairy tail like it will suck if its more ''forestmen/wolfpack'' theme in Castle subtheme like then it will rock (higher chance) now integral parts that are needed for theme to replace LOTR in my eyes are: 1. army build potential 2. earthern tones and colors (pink and bright colors not allowed (mostly)) 3. it needs civilian options (MVR/MMV type of things and figs) then there are some other ''minor'' requirements :D I personally think it will probably suck, unless its meant to be replacing Castle theme as in another Castle a little more Fantasy but still Kingdoms level of Castle designs....

Too little pieces (contract most likely) + I think they had (again contract) obligation to put in atleast 1 named character in every set

The only real difference between series 1 and series 7+ is the production capacity..... series 6 and onwards probably were made in much larger quantities than series 1, I am not sure about anything but its pure specualtion....

You want 200 for what? if you could list what you have, we might give you some offers, Im interested in Spartans aswell!

So after seeing the figs and more its definetly thanks LEGO but no thanks...... The ONLY good highlight of the wave is trully the smallest set with 3 amazing figs...... buying 2x minimum.... I will also Bricklink Tauriel cos i like her torso and legs..... and I will buy 1 MAYBE 2 Erebor sets (keep 1 sealed) if I can get them 30-35% off :)

Not really, but the other set is 100 times better, this one is just ugly :) No to me it shows more that all LEGO LOTR ideas are ugly (more or less) I did not support the above Minas Tirith, not because I dont want it, but I just cannot support that creation, still bows to the author but to my eyes its not looking Minas Tirith enough.

Except that you have to take into account that probably because of LEGO giving us this two new parts /figures in such a set, would result in more people buying more other sets (or PABs) to make their own creations and that is also a passive revenue boost that can cover initial loss...... you cannot expect that every set will cover its own molds 100%....... And still you decided to ignore Black Gates as a prime example of LEGO LOTR failure with multiple purchases in LEGOs OWN predictions and calculations.
