Who cares(I know some do) for Merry and Pippin you can make them iboth if you get Gondor torsos and use Rohan mail torso (its not perfectly accurate but for a hobbit its far too much already) I know Im biased, but rather than Fell beast Id pick up Oliphont and haradrims.... nazguls I had too much already and witch king can be on foot dying against Merry and Eowyn.... :P

If i had to rate the sets they would be rated as following 15$ set = 9,5/10 The only improvement that could happen in my eyes, would be either Witch king having glow in the dark hands and/or Elrond having generic Elf hairpiece (easier for army building) 30$(or was it 40) set = 5/10 Somehow I dont like the build, Lake Town Chase was far superior and cooler looking, also while appreciated the hairpiece for orcs is hideous for me..... bad set, useless for my collection... the only redeeming thing = Tauriel torso+legs 70$ set = 2/10 Biggest disappointment of the wave and probably even of the whole Hobbitline.... I trully expected atleast semi army builder, but inclusion of Thorin(which was evident due to his lack in Erebor) Legolas and Bard made it totally useless..... the ballista also looks ugly..... the redeeming thing is only Dain and even then only if hiw mohawk is detachable, if its not then thanks you very much but no thank you :) 130$ = 7/10 When i first seen Erebor i would rrate it around 5/10, but after seeing 2/3 other sets it suddenly climbed on the 2nd spot easily.... Smaug is okish, torsos from dwarves are usefull..... the only problem is the price point, but it will be ok to buy it on 30% discount (90€) the real letdown is the fact that I consider dwarves(and similar) as 1/2 figure and it really only has 2,5 figs and a dragon...... great parts pack torsos and good dragon

Ok just a minute..... are we taking movies for cannon or not? In books wargs made plans with GOBLINS (not orcs) to raid the village when the unlikely event interfered (death of Goblin king) Gundabad orcs are entirely different thing there.... to me it depends what point do we start looking at...... I just dont see how (per book) wargs goblins and orcs could be 1 army...... the reasons all 3 came to Erebor is not similar.... me and elves had more similar interests that got them to Erebor than Goblins and Orcs.....(per book) Orcs were sent by Sauron and Goblins and wargs came because the Goblin king was killed, I doubt goblins (and wargs) would've came if the Goblin king would stay alive, that death was the motive. Just like men would've not come if Smaug did not assault Lake Town, it just happened that Elves wanted gold aswell (greed?)

But the problem is army can still be set under the same alignement..... if 2 countries join forces they are stil l2 armies, even if they are doing that ''forever'' like wargs and Orcs/goblins and men and elves came to Erebor aligned just like goblins and wargs, that would (under your theory) make them 1 army and dwarves the other. So it kinda contradicts the theory. Unless you want to say: Army 1 = orcs Army 2 = Wargs (and goblins) Army 3 = Elves and men Army 4 = Iron Hill dwarves (and Thorins 13) Army 5 = Eagles That I might've accepted as a theory, but its again contradicting your theory of alignement......

Actually assuming the books Battle of Pelennor fields was even longer but if we summarize the movies only then yes..... The point is the battle started without eagles and they came late, they were the army but not one of the five armies that battle is named after...... thats how i see it...... now we can argue whole day, but to me eagles look like an army that picked side and ended the battle of the five armies, they can be the army itself, but the battle was waged between the other 5 armies....... thats my point of view Also for me battle of the five armies lasted from relatively early morning up until late evening, a whole day, where Thorin fell late afternoon and Beorn showed about then with eagles a bit later.... i have no proof of the last sentence but thats the feeling i got from the book. I agree for continuity sake Tolkien should've been more explicit about what waas the army and what not, but to me all creatures/animals that talked were the army in Tolkien world if massed in numbers........ Especially for Hobbit.... Thats why i do not consider bats an army, because tehy do not talk but they still communicate.....then again those ''crows'' (forgot the right name) that took messages between thorin and dain could also be named an army, but they have no real fighting power so they can be left out. Well 100 is also not a great number, compared to an army of thousands men if we would strictly judge by raw numbers, Eagles would never ever be an army, maybe a scouting party...... And who did the Eagles aligned to? Elves, men or dwarves? And if we go look alignement then there were only 2 armies, 1 good guys, and 1 bad guys, or whatever you prefer........ if you combine wargs and orcs in 1 army, then Dwarves and men and elves are also 1 army...... To me it makes most sense that wargs(+goblins) and Orcs are 2 armies and dwarves, men and elves are the other 3.... the 6th army (eagles) came in later and finished the conflict..... thats how i see most logic and still goes under the battle of the 5 armies tag.

Even if you want to pinpoint that, the battle after rohan arrival still took quite a long time, after eagles came it was the end pretty much instantely ...... Like at the black gates.... were eagles an army in that battle ofcourse not(but they are still an ''army'' overall), they came crashed on nazguls nazguls ran and army of mordor shattered and lost will due to events we all know Similar is here, Eagles are an army ofcourse, but not one of the five armies, they are the 6th army period.

My logic is perfect for the battle of 5 armies. Yes Rohan came later bad comparrison for battle of 5 armies, regardless the reason stands firm However you turn it its the battle of the five armies and the 6th army joined at the end. thats all there is.

Well in a bit better way it would be Dain, Bolg/Azog(eventually) 2 Gundabad armored orcs, armored elf, armored Iron hill dwarf and eventually laketown soldier.......... and Dains mohawk should be removable..... that way only Azog/Bolg would be ''useless'' parts if repurchasing..... and the fight should happen around half ruined house that would easily be moddable into a ''new'' house to make a huge city.... easy :P But ye it sucks, 70$ for useless characters except for Dain and SDCC Bard....

If it was Beorn only available as a recolor of the already existing Bear mold from City, would you still pick it over generic soldiers that were mentiond above (that set)

Well i expected figures to BUILD an army, not named characters really. Its like having a set of the Avengers and in you would have unnamed soldiers.... kinda weird dont you think? hard to say that really, afterall, without them three, the ring might've never came to Faramir......

You are going away from the point here, the point is 5 armies fought in the battle of the 5 armies and the 6th army came in took side (they were neutral afterall) and finished the battle of the five armies...... The battle of the five armies is about five armies that fought WHOLE battle and that were wargs, orcs, men elves and dwarves..... Eagles came in and finished the fight...... Its like saying Army of the dead was the 5th army in clash (on screen) between Gondor, Rohan and Mordor, Haradrims and Easterlings....... they were the five armies battling and then Army of the dead came and finsihed the fight, eagles are equivalent of Army of the dead (on screen)

Yes they were, but the time the battle lasting before eagle arrival was far longer than after they came....... If we shorten the battle up, its a big battle between 5 armies, that took time and time, then The ''wall'' made by 13 dwarves fell Thorin attacked Bolg (and his guards) he was mortally wounded kili and fili fell Beorn came, got angry killed Bolg got double angry, they were still losing, Eagles flew in, they killed a few things the end!!!!! See the time of the eagles in the battle while deciding factor was limited to small, but important part..... even Beorn had more time in the battle than Eagles..... and thats why they are the 6th army, but not part of the original battle of the 5 armies. Bats are not an army because they never had a line in the story, unlike Eagles/wargs

Focus is on the minifigs? WTF what kind of logic is that, if focus were truly on minifigs and repurchasing of the same set, we would get GENERIC troops not Bard, Legolas Azog and Thorin again........ its a crap set period! As for discussion of Battle of the five (or six) armies.... Eagles came when the battle was nearly over!!!!!!! They are the 6th army, but their time in the battle is highly limited and they mostly chased down remnants of the orc and goblin armies...... so the 5 armies are wargs, orcs, men, elves and dwarves, the 6th army are eagles, but they came at the end of the battle, so they dont count under the battle of the 5 armies, since they came we could say, in the last 10% of the battle.......

So you would have like 6 good guys vs 1-2 bad guys.... thats not logical :)

And even then lack of ads for LOTR in Hobbit instructions is not 100% indicator.... the 100% indicator of NO LOTR for me is 2015 set list......

People always say we are in minority etc..... and then LEGO is trying to crack resellers buying tons of supplies of same set and selling later, if we were truly a minority (maybe we are numbers wise, but not budget wise anymore) then LEGO would not care for resellers and noone would be banned for buying 100 Exo Suits etc..... I stopped taking this as the truth long ago, when i saw actions from LEGO and when I saw prices..... I know, ridiculous!

I doubt he is in minority...... I stopped buying LOTR and might only buy Orthanc if theme is done (aka next year around June) thats it...... I have 105 Uruks 15 Rohan soldiers on horses with spears and shields Eomer, Gandalf the fight and helm's Deep to recreate assault of Rohirrim.... thats it.... If LOTR is done I might buy additioanl 20 uruks and 10 Rohan soldiers to populate Helm's Deep and then Im done.

The thing I hate with those hairpieces is that they are designed poorly like Gandalf/Saruman hairpiece those hairpieces destroy LEGO cloaks when put on, and they get ruined eventually.... I wish they would design them better.

What would you want it to become? Another WoW thats impossible seeing how badly they optimized it and how badly they took action with servers and balancing...... TOR is 4th biggest MMO subs wise btw, only behind WoW Terra and Lineage if I remember correctly and 2/3 of those that are before him are there due to Asian markets...... I am currently playing it and having a blast and I was a long term WoW player (4,5 years)

Good luck selling it for 90€ when cheapest on Ebay is 65$(50€) + shipping If you find someone let me know id also sell for such ridiculous amount! :P

Next year fall/winter comes Hobbit+LOTR release of DVDs that should be some media coverage....
