    You've got to expect a few marks, with everything knocking together in bags and all, but some of those bricks are particularly bad. Customer service should be able to help though :)

    This is my exact problem with modern Technic. The pre-1999 mix of studded bricks, connectors, gears and axles used to be perfect. There's just something so much more satisfying about brick construction over just beams and connectors.

    Why in god's name are those heads so big?!? At least the toy story ones were somewhat in scale with the torsos! Those paint applications look crappy too :(

    Totally agree here, I was so disappointed with it. So unimpressive next to 8880. Maybe I just don't like modern Technic...

    I can't take full credit for the hood, the plate and hinge thing came from "The Real Indiana Jones" a few pages back, I just refined the idea some more and smoothed it out. Now I've got the actual model in hand it'll make it a lot easier to strengthen the design. I've changed the construction a little further to minimize the parts you need to buy as well.

    I used the black 2x4 plate behind the dashboard, along with the 2x2 angle plates. I can upload my updated LDD file tomorrow, I'm quite happy with how this mod turned out!
