  1. I use a fabric powder dye called RIT (you can find it nearly anywhere). People who use it have their own technique, but mine is just simple. I boil water in a stainless steel pot and keep it on high boil, and then add the powder and then dip whatever pieces I want to use using a metal spoon so I can check on it. The timing of how long you keep it dipped all depends on how big the piece is or how dark the dye is, and I'm still working out all the kinks to it. -Omi
  2. I kinda hope they don't make it. Personally too much Iron Men, and I want Lego to use up any promo fig ideas for a dictionary or the game on other potential Marvel characters that deserve to be made. -Omi
  3. The torso is from the new Town miner sets. Hair is Arealight and the pouches are BrickForge. :) -Omi
  4. Blade from the Marvel comics Blade series. Based moreso on his movie design. I dyed the head brown, and modified the torso so it has his jacket design. Enjoy. -Omi
  5. Just a slice of the nerd culture I follow. :P -Omi
  6. Tim Allen/Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor from Home Improvement Gordon Ramsay of Kitchen Nightmares/Hell's Kitchen/MasterChef Danielle/Tradechat/Panser from The Tester 2/King of Nerds James Rolfe/The Angry Video Game Nerd from Cinemassacre -Omi
  7. What I intend to do with the FF figures is purchase already made custom figures (as I collect customs too), and make additional characters from the FF series. I did that with my X-Men by mixing up figs that I've made with figs made by others. -Omi
  8. No. The only thing we look for is a language we all can speak. And that's English. -Omi
  9. Thanks guys. :) I've never intended on getting into custom comic figs, but since everyone has enjoyed what I've brought to the table, I'm going to keep it up. -Omi
  10. The planet eater himself, Galactus. Reference Enjoy. -Omi
  11. It's pretty obvious to any Thor fans who would be in it just going by the title. The Dark World is where the dark elves and Malekith come from. -Omi
  12. I only have one problem with the banner - It's missing America's favorite pastime. Which is baseball. :P -Omi
  13. The Minecraft set is the only set based on a video game franchise. As for sets from video games, there are a few Star Wars sets based on Force Unleashed and Old Republic. But given the nature of the theme that sets pretty much draw from any SW material, I never consider those sets to be video game sets. -Omi
  14. Nope. Kreo is making them. -Omi
  15. Technically Lego is a clone brand too. Just saying. -Omi
  16. Of course Lego fans use Lego as the default. Hence why they are Lego fans. And you're are completely misunderstanding the terms "custom", "customized", and "not-official". MegaBloks is not official to Lego for obvious reasons and vice versa, but they are compatible for each other. Either designs are not custom to one another, but whatever you make out of both is a custom because its modified. Brands like Cobi, Megablocks, Warhammer, kreo, etc are third party brands and are not custom for Lego because they were not made with the intention of going with Lego. ustom vendors like BrickArms and BrickForge are third party customs and are custom for Lego and even MegaBloks and the others etc because that was the intention of the designers. They wanted to make what Lego did not and therefore added that branch for those wanting to step out of the light of Lego. Lego fans choose to not use either at times because it isn't Lego, hence purism. That's like saying I don't like drinking Pepsi (third party brand) because I enjoy Coca Cola (main party), however I do like mixing liquor with Coke to make mixed drinks (customs). -Omi
  17. Because it's not sold by Lego and modified for whatever purpose. Because BrickArms is custom accessories for Lego. cus·tom·ize verb cus·tom·ized, cus·tom·iz·ing. to modify or build according to individual or personal specifications or preference: to customize an automobile. The "build according" part is what BrickArms is doing. Because you aren't a branch of Lego. And that's what customization is. You are literally answering your own questions here. I'm really not understanding this topic now when your original post is defending the notion that you're work isn't custom because you printed on it, yet your posts say it is custom because it isn't official Lego. It's custom because you are altering the product. Even if you don't advertise it as custom Lego, in the end you still altered it and it is compatible with Lego. Therefore custom. -Omi
  18. LOL Even though Lego doesn't have the rights for the movies, they can still make sets to go with the hype. Because you have 2 X-Men films slated for release, and both are going to be wicked awesome. -Omi
  19. I know of a former employee that does, but it is his own printer and not Lego's. -Omi
  20. By technical terms, it isn't purism. Because you are doing it on the side, and it isn't official by Lego standards. -Omi
  21. Lex Luthor isn't in the movie, nor in the sets.... -Omi
  22. I've never seen this technique used before. Clever. -Omi
  23. They're holding them in the pictures. :P juss sayin -Omi
  24. Wise man say "Forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza." Good job on this scene. :P -Omi
