  1. Hasbro -owns- GI Joe. They wouldn't pay money to another toy company (who is a competitor) to make their toys when they can do it themselves. Paramount pretty much has no say in it. -Omi
  2. Yeah I know. In all honesty, I'd prefer comic based sets rather than movies. -Omi
  3. Lego has been in negotiations with Fox for a theme. Many think it is the Simpsons, but there is a possible chance it can be the Wolverine movie, as well as the ther X-Men movie and Fantastic Four reboot next year. Plus I recall someone saying in here that there was a rumor flying around of more X-Men sets this fall. -Omi
  4. I'm expected to me at BFVA this year. I wasn't there last year, but I'm back on track with the swing of things. I was able to make it to BF New England earlier this year and it was great. -Omi
  5. Good to see another printer out there to add to the slew. I wonder how far he goes with requests. -Omi
  6. So who is exclusively making the movies right now? Certainly not Marvel/Disney. And they won't be for a very, very, very long time. They haven't been renewed since they were purchased back in the 80s by Fox. -Omi
  7. Yeah I'll just keep the fig as a lingering memory of that movie. :P But a good GL set could be something small like Hal Jordan VS Sinestro or Kyle Rayner VS Parallex. Something along those lines. -Omi
  8. Just the movie rights. Marvel has everything else, including video games. The only main issue Marvel really had with a character in video games was the Hulk in Marvel Ultimate Alliance (he was left out initially but was later added as DLC for 360), which at the time Universal had rights to the Hulk for movie and game. -Omi
  9. You're misconstruing what I am saying. Fox has exclusive movie rights. They own that media. It's theirs, and has been since the 80s. -Omi
  10. Non-exclusive. What Fox has is exclusive to them. :P -Omi
  11. Fox actually owns the movie rights to FF. Marvel/Disney cannot make a Fantastic Four movie at all. -Omi
  12. Kabal was good in MK3, but he changed his alignment by the time of MK Deception. He reclaimed the Black Dragon. Scorpion is technically neutral but given that he was under Quan Chi's control, he is on the evil side. Human Smoke is really the only one on the wrong side. And technically Ermac and Kobra. :P Anyways not bad for a purist take. -Omi
  13. There is always the custom route, if you're into that. I can refer to you a few good customs. :P -Omi
  14. I see no point in releasing special figures to promote old movies. The point in things like are to promote upcoming or current media. They could, however, make variants of said characters if they came from upcoming media or the comics. I was under the impression, like many were, that Lego would be branching out into the comics and others heroes, and not just focusing on just Batman for 2 years and the MCU (which BTW doesn't include Fantastic Four and X-Men) and Spiderman show. They said so in the press release. I don't understand why you are so defiant of me hoping Lego would branch out. -Omi
  15. So why can't we get sets on X-Men again? And Fantastic Four? And the like? -Omi
  16. "Due to various movie and television deals, the various TMNT films and television series have split between various companies, with Mirage Studios having retained copyright and trademark until October 19, 2009, at which point the rights for the entire TMNT franchise were sold by co-creator Peter Laird to Nickelodeon." http://en.wikipedia....wnership_rights And the new movie is under Nick anyways. -Omi
  17. I don't believe that for a second. -Omi
  18. And Ninja Turtles belong to Viacom aka WB's competitor. -Omi
  19. Well how do you explain the DC sets? The Batman sets weren't even based on a current cartoon, and look at the plethora of sets and figs we got from that. -Omi
  20. What I like mst about this is they actually brought on one of the guys from Robot Chicken for the making of this film, as they make damn good Lego stop motion clips as well. An it feels like a Brickfilm too. The staff that Vitruvious carries looks like it was just customized from parts like what people do for their films and the Lego rubber band around his head is a nice touch too. The lasers are actual Lego lightsaber bars and vehicles looking like not so impressive mocs. This is great. Plus it looks like Lego actually made more figs and pieces for them to use for the film so I hope we get to see them released. -Omi
  21. Yeah his hair is black. It was stated by the artist that the white thing is a knit hat. His hair is shown on the back sprite, as well as in the manga. http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/c/c3/Ruby_Adventures.png -Omi
  22. It's not meant to be his hair. It's meant to be the hat, and the best piece there is to use for it. ;) -Omi
  23. Ruby (or Brendan if he is your rival) as he appears in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire. *Torso and headgear modified by me. -Omi
