Tesni had spent some time on the roof before sneaking off and exploring town some more. She realised that her many quests had taken her far from the freeport and she had never taken a chance to look around. Stepping back into the hall she selected a plate and a good beer and took a seat.

Sieghard Geschwindigkeit, the racer who brings German Precision to the race track. A very technical racer he scores high and often wins the points trophy more frequently than track victories. Racing for the Numerics team his car is the SIEGHARD Spezielle, a custom racer for a very exact driver. Every year they come out on top for driver points and through their great choice of driver have gone from a little known bottom rung team to one of the well known stalwarts like founder teams Octan and XII Technologies. I created this one as an extra racer to go against my Octan car. I have more than a few others to build including support vehicles!

We should team up again Brickdoctor! Tesni's attack and Docken's defense and the enemy will collapse! I am aiming for high attack power over all else, my strategy is allways the more agressive side of thinks. Hit 'em so they stay down! Which is why I chose to go for Berserker.

Ignoring the outburst Tesni decided to get up high. She was tired and felt penned in. The hall roof should be high enough for fresh air and sunshine for a while. Leaving the hall she wandered around the building until finding her path to the roof. Reaching the top she sat above the main entrance watching the comings and goings.

"Maybe that old crystal doen's want to share? Cysgodion seemed pleased when I took up this new blade of mine. It appreciates my growth in power. Maybe you have an envious one there?"
-
"How fares Jess?" Tesni asked the norseman. "She did not look well when we returned. I would have come, but you being a Cleric, I knew you would have it in hand. Well done on the advancement to Shaman, the class suits you."
-
"Yes, those are the greys of life. The darkness within all the brothers." She fell silent then. Scanning the crowds for someone she was seeking.
-
"Well, the tribes... Everyone had their own place and Center was our city. People, people who had left their tribes lived there. Leaving for good or bad. When I got there that last time I decided to stop at the old heroes pub." She stopped for a moment and took up her glass. "There was a new oldster there who was avoided by the others. When I entered he saw Cryfder. He shouted that he knew the sword from that 'Stupid tribe I ended.' He was our old leader. The drunken, gambling coward." Her hand on the hilt of sword tightened. "He told me well done for looting such a good blade... A blade of honour. A blade that choses it's wielder... I sat across the room from him and he rambled on about debts and the law after him. He told of poison in a stew pot and fire to cover his crime. Of looting all of value..." Noticing her white knuckles, Tesni slackened her grip. "I had heard enough. I rose and challenged him and he just laughed and said yes. He wanted to know why so I told him. When he heard he was shocked and tried to back out. I struck him then. Struck him hard and he died."
-
"Aye, My village died and only I survived with the priestess. She raised me,taught me and trained me in all I needed to know. When I proved to be this generations holder of Cryfder on the day of my majority, she was so happy. Then she seemed to age quickly..." Tesni paused a moment. "She grew old in a few short years. When she died I left for Center, the city of the Tribelands." A shadow passed over her face. "Center was I place I journeyed to many times. When I was there that last time I did something. A grey thing, some would say a dark thing. Then I came here to Heroica Hall on the advice of an old hero. I pushed the dark away and pretended it was never there." <And with that I turn in. 11pm is my limit!>
-
"You must miss her and your past." Tesni placed her new blade beside her. "I do miss the mountains and vallies of home. I can't go back now. Seems we are in the same boat."
-
"Well, I must admit I did try licking it, I always thought it a sound way to find things out. The priestess warned against it, especially when I caught bog toads..." She paused at that memory. "But it seems speaking the name of it's creator worked out well."
-
"Paladin Boomingham? I would never have thought you'd choose that path!" She chuckled and settled well in her seat. "I came in last night and you were the worse for ale, so I decided to sleep with a roof over my head for once. You've not been out long." She took a draught of her own beer and carried on. "I have had many a battle, Beat the undead and gained a fine sword." She indicated Cysgodion, glittering beside her. "Met Hoke here," She pointed to her companion by way of introduction. "We then fought Orcs while smaller than ants and have since traveled far to fight a powerful mage. Got ahold of this." She showed him the orb. As she held it out a thought occured. "Dryw ar Zoot" she spoke and the orb began to change, the chaos converging and growing, stretching out into a blade. A shadow seemed to suck the light from her vision and once it cleared a magnificent longsword was in her hand. Dryw ar Zoot WP:14 Longsword.

Oops, missed that, ok, so that would be WP:13 or 14? (Its late, I have had beer, forgive me)

Conversation had lulled once more, sitting at the table Tesni sneaked a look around the hall, removing Zoot's plaything from her bag once more she held it in her palm. "So Wren," She whispered softly, "what has this got in store for me? Would you be so kind as to direct me in it's use?"
-
"Shipwrecks do not sound like fun." Tesni chuckled. She stowed the plaything in her bag. She had heard rumour of others who had obtained one, she would consult later.
-
"Indeed, maybe we can use this as a way to convince those who hire heroes to select us for quests. Although I feel I must face Wren again."
-
Hey Zeph? How does this plaything work then?
-
Tesni had whiled away the morning examining Zoot's Plaything, she had heard rumour that it would become a weapon of power but had no idea how this could be done. As lunch servers began their work, she rose and grabbed a plate to eat and wait for something more entertaining to do.

Well, I would have to say, more interaction with the NPCs would have made them more likeable. Jeb's Orcs were a good example (IMO) Wren is fantastic and I'll jump at the chance to quest against her again! I liked the options to kill NPCs and it really let me develop Tesni a little. I did get a little frustrated at how long my fellow questors took during battles, I think I was a little spoiled in some quests before, with our timezones and active on EB times well aligned to each other. I did let a note of impatience into Tesni, more as another little character quirk let slip than anything else. Lets crack this plaything open then! I never expected her to take off so well, I think Tesni and Wren should certainly meet once again. Thanks for a great quest

Tesni had risen with the sun. Gathering her things she set off for the beach, a bathe in the sea would do her good. Although most of her battle wounds had healed, the warm water would sooth the more persistent aches... After a good swim she returned to the hall. "Breakfast." she mumbled and grabbed a big plate loaded with bacon and toasted bread. A mug of small beer in her other hand, she found a table close to the sleeping Boomingham and sat down.
-
"I am weary from questing. It seems an age since I slept indoors" She drained her drink in one gulp, it was good to get some ale over the small beer and murky water while on quest. "Now, I must take my leave. I have need of a good bath and a long sleep." She stood and after goodbyes, left the hall. <Aka, Pepper needs her sleep now! 23:02 in the UK!>

Tesni returned to the hall, weary and tired by her quest. She sat at a table not far from the dozing Boomingham and gestured for a jar of ale. She sat drinking it and looking at Zoot's Plaything, wondering who else had encountered such a thing. Jess's condition worried her, but Haldor was a cleric and would have it in hand...
