  1. Don't forget they also worked on it again for the 2004 (?) DVD release. Well technically, he's not making new movies, Disney is. I guess allowing Disney to make new movies was a central part of their deal (which is getting worse all the time).
  2. I sure hope so, but then again The Last Airbender was doing quite well too at the time and we only got 2 sets. I admit I still haven't watched any episode from the new series but I just thought it looked like they were releasing all the important sets/minifigs at the same time.
  3. Yes, I'll be using TMNT Shredder's helmet. It's pretty much a perfect match. I'll probably buy a Garmadon next week, I guess I'll find out soon. Good call on the second torso, I noticed it too when I read Captain Nemo's review. :D I also thought a Galaxy Squad torso wouldn't look too bad... As for the legs, it will depend on which torso I'll choose, but I'll probably use something like this: Using Rex's skirt seems like a pretty good idea, I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
  4. Do we know if there's gonna be another wave? Since they've already released the turtles' lair, the shellraiser and pretty much all the main characters, it seems to me they might be done with this.
  5. I'd love to see a small set based on Yoda's duel with Sidious. It would include the Emperor (brown hood, new torso), Yoda, 2 red guards and a Senate pod.
  6. I bought this set this week and opened the box today. I must say I agree with pretty much everything you said in your review. The minifigs are absolutely fantastic and Don's modified skateboard is a cool little vehicle. The bike however is just meh. It's not terrible but it's nothing special... and it does look incredibly oversized. On the plus side, it's full of cool black pieces I'll probably use for a custom Star Wars speeder.
  7. I'm not sure that's the reason. The original schedule was to have one movie each year (which means ROTJ 3D would have been released in 2017). I think the main problem here was that they were getting in the way of Disney's new plans. TPM 3D made more than 102 million $ worldwide, it's not great but it's not that bad for a 3D rerelease, considering this is the weakest film of the 6. The OT rereleases would have probably made a lot more.
  8. I was mostly thinking about something along the lines of Pharaoh's Quest or Atlantis...
  9. Not a bad set but I'm not sure I'll get it. I think I'll just buy the minifigs I want online.
  10. I'd love to see something from the Greek or Roman Antiquity and mythology. They already have a few sculpts they could use thanks to some of the minifigures series.
  11. Still no Republic Starfighter but I bought a Clone Walker Battle Pack. I'm very happy I found one which wasn't too expensive.
  12. Unless LEGO had already started production on the 2014 sets when the other 3D releases were canned, I don't think we'll see a whole lot of Ep. III sets. They probably cursed Lucasfilm when they learned there wouldn't be any 3D release for AotC. Same with TCW. We're probably going to get the last TCW sets in 2014. Even Hasbro has stopped the production of new TCW action figures.
  13. I knew it as soon as I read the plan for future modifications to the site. There was no way this could be serious. Was hilarious though.
  14. Best: I just love the Darth Malgus minifig Worst: Either the first Mace Windu or Juno Eclipse but I think I'll go with Mace. He doesn't just look bad, he looks like a completely different character. (Goblet of Fire Hermione and Ron look terribad too. What on Earth is wrong with their faces???)
  15. It is, and so are "Escape from Mirkwood Spiders" and the "Mirkwood Elf Guard" polybag.
  16. RIP LucasArts. http://www.theforce.net/latestnews/story/Disney_Shuts_Down_LucasArts_150959.asp
  17. Bienvenue parmi nous. ;)
  18. Fantastic creation, it's just perfect. I'll probably watch the series again soon, definitely one of my favourite sci-fi series.
  19. Ah, here's the explanation. I believe you, he really nailed the look and feel of Arkham Asylum. True, I'm still amazed by all the details on the roof and the furniture (that's typically the sort of things you'd see in MOCs... but then again, there's apparently a good reason for that).
  20. I think Detours has been shelved along with many other projects. They don't want them to get in the way of their new vision for the SW franchise. Honestly, I'm a huge Star Wars fan but I absolutely can't get excited by all this, even now that we know the original cast will be returning. What's happening right now is what I feared was gonna happen after Lucas's death: Hollywood milking this franchise till everyone gets sick of it. Absolutely nothing I've heard since Disney bought Lucasfilm has gotten me excited or even remotely interested. I hate Abrams as a director and I find his movies are incredibly overrated. I don't know if he understands SW but he sure as hell didn't understand Star Trek. Sure the original cast is returning but there's no way Disney is gonna make a trilogy with 60 yo main characters... which means they'll probably just serve as secondary characters or foils for a younger generation of actors. I'm not sure I want to see that, and if the History of cinema has taught us anything, it's that it never works (Indy 4 is a perfect example). Also, comparing Star Wars with Marvel is a wrong way to look at it IMO. What they did with Marvel is basically create a new universe with no implications for the source material (the comics) whatsoever since it's not even in the same media. If the Marvel films suck, they won't affect the source material. The same can't be said for Star Wars as they plan to make direct sequels to the existing films. Besides, if The Avengers is a commercial success, it's still a rather average film... but then of course, that's not what matters for Hollywood.
  21. This looks like a very good set with an incredible amount of details. Is it just me or does it look more like a MOC than an actual LEGO set? It certainly isn't a criticism, it's just that the way it's built seems rather unconventional to me for some reason.
  22. C'mon guys, how can some of you think this is serious?
  23. Ah thanks toothpick! I really need to get a closer look at these new GS sets.
  24. Really nice! BTW which torso did you use for your Mysterio ? I might use it too for my custom Shredder.
  25. Thank you Spidey and long live Ameribricks. W-where can I get my free burger?
