  1. I know what you mean. I think I'm just in love with some of the LOTR sets.
  2. They should definitely give us a few battle packs before the line dies (Rohan, Gondor and Elves would be nice). Yeah, I realized there are less possibilities than I thought. Still thought about 4 possible candidates though... #1 #2 #3 #4
  3. Haha I just love how everyone is getting more and more worried as time goes by.
  4. The ones to blame aren't TLG but those who gave credit to such associations in the first place and allowed them to become lobbies. TLG here is just the victim of this situation.
  5. While I agree with you, I still believe TLG didn't have any decent alternative here and made the best decision possible. They're a toy company, they have no political power and reputation means everything to them. If they didn't pretend they were listening to those religious nuts, they would probably have gotten much more attention from the media as this association (and possibly others) would have accused them of creating racist toys. That's just how these associations work and these idiotic "fights" is how they justify their existence. Most of the sane population now isn't blaming TLG but is making fun of this association's stupidity. That's what they were trying to achieve.
  6. The alternative wasn't that great. The protesters would have probably sued them which would have had a rather negative impact on the company's image (even if they probably would have won, considering how silly the complaint is), especially because of how touchy these subjects are. Also, I guess TLG wanted to avoid having to deal with possible actions from religious extremists.
  7. I was hoping we'd get Gondorian soldiers too. I also still keep my fingers crossed for rangers (including Faramir) and elves from the Last Alliance. As for the Mordor orcs, I'll probably end up using some helmets and headgears from the Castle/Kingdoms lines.
  8. Haha, I didn't even know they made TMNT stuff. I saw the pictures and... no thanks. Thanks and that seems like a very good idea. I was thinking about getting some of the PoP sets anyway.
  9. I'd say that's a pretty smart move from LEGO. They managed to avoid a trial, as well as possible deterioration of their image, all this without alienating themselves from a part of the public and without really changing their plans. What I want to know though is why Austrian muslims associate themselves with Jabba the Hutt. I fear the world might never know the answer.
  10. Thanks guys.
  11. Got the "Mandalorian Battle Pack" and the "Republic Troopers vs. Sith Troopers". Both are nice little sets and I'll probably grab a second TOR set at some point. The next SW purchase might be the Republic Striker-class Starfighter.
  12. I lol'd. I was wondering what was going on with the site's banner... then I remembered the date. Well done. *claps furiously*
  13. I still haven't watched any episode of the new TMNT series but I really enjoyed the older show from 2003. As soon as I saw the first pictures of the Shredder's Dragon Bike set, I knew I'd try to create a LEGO 2003 Shredder using only existing LEGO parts... a purist Shredder (is that how you'd call it?). The problem is, my knowledge of LEGO parts is a bit dated. I basically need to find 3 pieces to match this design... The pieces are: - the torso - the head (maybe the black skeleton head from the Castle line, or possibly Lord Garmadon's head from Ninjago) - the pauldrons (the silver Ninjago pauldrons are probably the best choice here, but maybe you have other ideas...) (- If I find a good torso, finding legs won't be too difficult I guess, but suggestions are welcome) Pictures are always appreciated and feel free to share other TMNT creations. Thanks in advance to those who can help.
  14. I most probably won't see any of these and I'm just daydreaming but I'd love to see sets based on: - Assassin's Creed - Aliens - Legend of Korra (+ new ATLA sets) - TMNT (2003) - Battlestar Galactica (the new series) - Ghostbusters (might happen if they finally make a 3rd movie) That's all I can think of atm.
  15. Hello everyone, I'm Elrond from Belgium and I'm 26 (hope I'm not too old but I'm pretty sure most of us are adults ). I recently went back to collecting LEGO when I found out how awesome the new licensed stuff were. I loved my LEGO sets when I was a kid, they probably were my favourite toys (I mostly had Pirates, Castle, Space and Adventurers sets) but haven't bought any for over 10 years now... I'll mostly collect Star Wars and (obviously) LOTR/Hobbit sets but I'm also interested in a large variety of other themes (Pirates & PotC, TMNT, Monster Hunters, Harry Potter, ...).
