  1. I bought the 6242 Soldier's Fort yesterday and when I finished assembling the minifigs, I noticed something that was a bit unpleasant. This minifigs torso, is exactly like this picture. Lemonade yellow. (The picture is from Brickset btw. Coincidence? ) I also own the 6240 Kraken Attackin' and this torso is also on one of the minifigs. I compared the two torsos and the one from the 6240 was skin yellow, so OK. Has anybody else experienced the same thing with the 6242 torso?
  2. Great work as usual BlueBard! The interior you've designed is for once more excellent and full of life. It's a great success that you've managed to add so many details without looking too packed. It really gives someone the feeling of an actual comic-collectors shop. The display case seems wonderful and adding posters is also a marvellous idea! Btw, you should use the head from the minifig that's reading the blue comic for the owner. Simpsons, remember? Keep expanding!
  3. First of all, welcome to Eurobricks Jason! You will surely enjoy it in here. If you want you can introduce yourself here btw. And a very nice first post you've made here! Very nice creation! I like the overall shape of the building and the white colour is a great choice. The windows and the small balconies are a very nice detail on the building. It's clever that you didn't use policemen to guard the Embassy. The Marines minifigs are an excellent choice. Green soldiers huh? Toy Story I guess? Beautiful layout also. I hope that we'll see more from you in the future.
  4. 6242 Soldier's Fort. It was a bit expensive though...
  5. This song ALWAYS makes my day during Christmas holidays!
  6. I had never seen this review. Excellent review mania3! Now I feel much happier for my decision of buying it yesterday! Great set! What's there not to love? Absolutely amazing minifigs and a very nice castle building! This is my very first castle purchase apart from 3 impulses and my choice was bingo! My recommendation? Even if you're not a castle set collector (like me), buy it!
  7. ...to all, in this great community!
  8. Thanks for the link LMM. Interesting article and video too. To be honest, it's the first time that I actually hear with my own ears the word AFOL.
  9. Sometimes the journey is as equally interesting and important as the destination. A great thanks to all who organised and brought us this great raffle. It made me feel like waiting for Santa, just like when I was a kid.
  10. It looks very nice! Very good selection of colours and bricks. They blend well all together. Is that a SNOT door btw? Oh, welcome to EB too!
  11. Just bought my first Power Miners set, (more of a cheap impulse move) the 8956 Stone Chopper. I 've also bought the 7079 Drawbridge Defense. The minifigs look great! And I finally have a jester! Thanks to def for convincing me with his great review. ..and I'm not even a castle guy.

That was my initial though too, especially after seeing the picture from the new train level crossing. It has a different minifig depicted on the box side (the one for the 1:1 scale), and a different image on the side that the box can be opened. EDIT: You are right Legoliner Pilot. Dark Ages you see...

I still can't figure out why TLG hadn't release even one during the last 25 years. To be honest though, I don't see a TAXI logo on this car. That's strange, taking into consideration that TLG has a thing for stickers.
  14. A great thanks for the links Rick and brickjohannes! The train sets look great in my opinion, taking into consideration that it's the first wave and hoping for more to come in the future. It's a good sign that TLG didn't only make two train sets and that's it. The new level crossing looks simple and plain, yes, but it's good that there IS actually a new level crossing. The train station is small but I think that TLG will surely release a bigger one (CC style maybe?) in the near future. The station being small is my small sign of expectation of a bigger one. After all, the Emerald Night is also present. I like both trains. The passenger train has this "old-new" feeling and doesn't look <insert that tiresome argument>. My only complaint? Passengers. Only two again? And one crew member? Too bad... The cargo train is my favorite. Nice looking engine, 3 train wagons, a cargo truck with a trailer (at last!), a gantry crane , containers and two smarties! The colours do blend well, especially the yellow with the green. A realistic result imo. A good start I think! Let's just hope that prices will be reasonable. So, my overall opinion is that perhaps this is a new beggining in the train set series. I hope that the future will bring variety, both in trains as well as in sets that are train related. Given the right and useful feedback, TLG can make us all happy in the future. Good job TLG!
  15. I go to bed one night to sleep, I wake up, go to work and when I return... . Great pictures, great news! I was planning of getting the last Cargo Train but now plans have changed for sure! The cargo trains seems to be great! Truck with trailer, a gantry ,containers, nice looking engine, all great! The passenger train seems great too! Red is fantastic! And looks brick-built enough! A station (looks a bit small) with a taxi and a pedestrians bridge! I built one a few months ago and it looks great in a layout! Just one question: What exactly is that black thing that can be seen in the passenger train box image? Does it have to do with PF (I'm a noob on this) or generally the means of train powering or is it just a train platform? As far as I can see, there is a "thunder looking" thingy coming out from it, heading towards the train. Am I seeing things? (Most probably... )
  16. Exactly what I've being saying since my return from dark ages. Thanks for the review Matn. Very nice photos!
  17. As Siegfried suggested, Metal Gear Solid 4 is an excellent game but you can really enjoy it and get into the whole saga atmoshpere only if you have already played the previous 3 canon games from the series. If you do, you won't regret it.
  18. On the other hand, being in my sixties and still being around LEGO....hmmm... Now that's a promising scenario!
  19. 30. And every time I want to become younger I just say 25 years and 63 months old.
  20. That was very funny!! I was slowly scrolling down looking at every picture without having any clue of what to expect and the outcome was just genious and hilarious! Even the native american stood up from his calmness at the end! That was the second smile dose for today Torham! Thanks for that!
  21. A nice bump! Great work Rick! Both vehicles look very nice! What I like the most in the engine vehicle is the equipment and the hose section. It looks realistic and I like the fact that both sections are "hidden". The ladder vehicle is my personal favorite! It has the shape of the vehicle from the 7945 Fire Station but yours is way ahead! The small steps on the back and that 2x1 printed tile are great details. One more thing is that it doesn't look flimsy like the 7945. I was very disappointed when I finished building it. I guess you're the only one to confirm that. Great work and kudos again!
  22. Really hard to choose because all entries are fantastic! My choices: I Scream Clone: 1 Amazing landscape with great foliage. Infomaniac: 1 Great corner walls and rock creation and very good choice of buildings. Cap'n Blackmoor: 1 Amazing brick-built ship and very eye-capturing scenery. maydayartist: 1 Excellent and very creative concept. Nate: 1 Very nice ship and great port creation that seems full of life. Newright: 1 The ship does the job in this one. Fonz: 1 Probably the most creative and with tons of imagination creation. Really out of the ordinary. It reminds me of the POTC scene in the desert. Fantastic! Congratulations to all of you guys! Your creations were fantastic and you are all winners for me!
  23. Great work and very funny! The moment when Samuel pushed the table and when he holds cagee from the clothes while he moves his legs not touching the ground were my two favorite moments. You are pretty good at this Jammie! I really enjoyed it! Misirlou ON!
  24. The video really shows your creation in all its glory TheBrickster! Seeing it from pictures looked fantastic and now seeing it from the video makes it fantasticer!( ) I was never a devoted fan of Wild West (dark ages), but you 've made me to be more interested now. Thanks again for the video!
  25. Very funny vignette! The fact that we can't see painter's face makes him look more distracted and that he has no clue of what's going on. He sure likes what he sees! You've just made my day Torham!
