A thanks for this early review meat1980! I personally like it. I'm not too excited but there are some things that I like. I really like the way they have used the white color. Having all these "stripes" of white the redness breaks a little and the building looks very pleasant to the eye and doesn't seem too dull. Another thing that crossed my mind now that I 've examined the photos carefully is the modularity. I believe that with some minor modifications, the building where the office and the beds are in, could be placed on top of the garage building, beginning from where the middle roof ends.It would look like a classic town fire station sort of. Not bad... The big fire truck is nice. I bought the previous fire station 2 weeks ago and although that the fire truck in it was nice, the whole bucket-thing mechanism (don't remember the exact word ) is very unstable and looks fragile. Some pieces are also great. The 2x4 tile, the green recycle bin and the net. Thanks again!

First of all, welcome to Eurobricks Dan! The attempt you 've made turned out really good, considering the limited amount of bricks you had to use. TLG had released a pick-up truck in the past (well, sort of), the 6632 , so a CITY version set could also exist in reality. Good job! Exactly! I keep saying that since I left dark ages behind me and joined Eurobricks. One type of wheels in almost every vehicle is getting ridiculous. 6-wide, realism, more accuracy, attention to detail, blah blah blah.... Bus, sportcar, ATVs, trucks, ambulance, airport vehicles, police cars, small, big, medium, you name it. One size of wheels. Pick your realism from one of the above. (Sorry for being off topic here.... )

That was the picture I was looking for in the beginning and the Google Evil Machine predicted that I wanted to post something in a LEGO related forum. That is 24 actually. Someone didn't do his homework.

This is a great Basic set. The red car is too good to be a Basic one. It's like a City set vehicle and its style reminds of the Town Plan cars. I must agree both with lightningtiger and my neighbour on the 7993. It's a great Service Station and the good thing is that it can be modified or even lower the roof for a more classic town feeling.

Of course there is water on the Moon! Although, it's not exactly water, it's just plain teardrops. Didn't you ever had a bug getting in your eye? Seriously now, the most exciting and most interesting thing about this project's discovery is that NASA officials said that not only they've found water but they've found lots of water, assuming maybe that there is much more now to explore. This is exciting and thrilling! Just wait and hear about the discovery of the cheese-bearing veins...

Thanks for posting the extra photos benny! The forklift looks great indeed! (..and environmental friendly. ) You've used all the necessary elements in order to look realistic. My suggestion is to raise the back wheel 1-2 plates more so that the rear part doesn't touch the ground. Thanks again!

Great design and excellent result! Both buildings look great and they really match together. What I really appreciate is the size of them. Not too big and not small, both are suitable for any city layout. Well done! P.S 3-wheeled forklift eh? I really like it! Any more pictures on that?

Great article Brickster I also believe that TLG should release a decent hospital. I think it's about time. 7892 is not a good result I think. The whole structure is like a castle -blame the baseplate mostly for that- and some elements just don't work. The ramp, the stairs(!), everything look as if they are thrown there just to have a set and forward-finish off the "Release of a new Hospital Set Project" from TLG. On the other hand, the 6380 is still one of my most wanted sets, a set that never made it to Greece. O.K, it may look a bit plain, simple and small for some (not me for sure ) but I think that it can be the basis of a hospital in the future. It has an ambulance, it's flat (at least the reception-first aid) and it has the looks of a hospital. I would really love to see the release of a new hospital, whether this is a CITY line one or a modular. (...just imagine that last...) If you ask me, I pick the first one. If we take a look at the last Police Station, we can see that TLG could release a great hospital of this size and space - meaning rooms, offices and other hospital facilities. There is a related topic about hospitals here btw. P.S That 9364 Dacta set.... If only I could get my fingers on it... Great source of parts, minifigs and vehicles. Thanks again for bringing this up Brickster.

Have a glorious anniversary our german friends! 20 years after the Wall came down. Time passes quickly. The celebrations have a very big coverage from the greek media. I have watched at least 3 documentaries today about the events back then. Ihr Seid Ein Volk.

Many many great pics! Great review Widdi! You've managed to build almost all the alternates and take pictures! Excellent! I was always admiring the back of the boxes back in the 80s and voila!- they are built in front of our eyes. This is a great set in my opinion. Although that it looks simple it still has the Charm (yes, caps for "c"). We all know what Charm stands for. The baseplate is excellent and the small details such as the arches, the tent and the BBQ are great. Thanks for the review and the great colourful pictures!

I know I 've seen this been discussed somewhere before but I couldn't find it. Anyway, since my return from the dark ages, one of the main issues I've encountered when it comes to quality were the chairs. I have bought many (too many, believe me...) CITY sets and the chairs that were in all of them didn't have enough grip for the minifig to "lock". I bought the 7945 Fire Station (2007) last week and I started building it last night. When I came to the step that I had to use the chairs, to my surprise, the minifig could sit and "lock" on it just like the old days. I could move the minifig's torso back and forth while sitting and the legs were locked in their place. I was really happy to be honest. Do we know anything about that and when did exactly this problem started to appear?

Excellent and unique creation creation pe668! I must say that the video was a really amazing work and hilarious! Especially those face expressions.

I ALWAYS build on the floor, on the carpet (I'm an outlaw breaking the law and the rules ) , in front of the TV. I usually choose an "easy-listening" type of TV program. Not so distracting and not too irrelevant. When it's winter I also have a hot cup of coffee next to me. During summer a cold icy Frappe. Nice topic btw.

Very nice review WF! My older brother used to own this set and he gave it to me when I started playing with LEGO back in 85-86. I really loved it and when I got the 6386 Police Command Base which was a more modern high-tech police force to my eyes, I named it the "experienced older detective car" due to its looks. Lego+8-year old kid=Imagination to the max. I don't know if I still have all the pieces but now that I've seen the parts list I am a bit confused. I have a pair of white car doors with a "POLICE" sticker on them and I always thought that these doors belong to this set. Seeing that the doors are printed makes me wonder from which set these doors ended up my collection. Anyway, great little set and a very nice trip to the past for once more!

What is the longest you have kept a model built?
Zorbas replied to Paul B Technic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
To my great relief and happiness I did, along with some other sets instructions I was missing. But even now that I have the instructions, I haven't yet disassembled it. Good to read that more BSBs around the globe are still as their Legobox gave birth to them. Thanks for your great interest Big Cam! -

Nice topic! Black Seas Barracuda for me too. My father bought it for me in 1990. I built it the same day I got it and till now it's still kept intact from the very first time it was built. The main reason is that after some time I had lost the instructions and I was scared at the thought that I wouldn't be able to build it again. I treated it like gold to be precise, so don't worry, it's still almost dustless. Toothbrush is not just for teeth. Looking for the BSB instructions online last year was the reason to put Dark Ages behind me. So, 19 years. Suddenly I'm feeling old now.... -
Very nice topic K-D and good motive for thinking. During past summer I was experimenting on how my layout would form. So, I started setting up small temporary layouts just for fun. I ended up thinking that a monument type of structure would take place in my layout. Something like this: Don't ask me what that is. Even I don't have a clue. Freestyle-buliding-not-knowing-the-result on!

Very nice building you 've created there Badsneaker! The small architectural details are great and I really the tiled floor. Yellow works great with the other colors and doesn't make the building look unrealistic. THE perfect building for the greek islands!

Just came home with the 7638 Tow Truck and the 7945 Fire Station. I know. New fire station next year blah blah blah... I guess I had too much RedBull and the redness just made me go towards the box.

I never had the chance of watching this video! It was very funny and clever and.... "kissed his mummy goodbye"!!! Excellent find Mraz!

Amazing creations you 've made there Jebediahs! The quality seems and is top-notch. It's like they popped out of an official Lego comic book. Well done! Could I also make a request for my sig-fig? (if it's no trouble of course. )

Very beautiful creation Ralph! The colors do blend well and it doesn't look too dull. The small green "drops" here and there break the greyness and blend really well with the rest of the colors. I just love the construction scenery! Kudos about the protection net! Safety on!
