I saw your avatar early this afternoon and I was wondering what was that structure in it. Now I know! Amazing work! The colours fit perfectly and the size of it makes it look majestic! I love all the small details (the grave stone is great!) and extra points for the fireplace! That was literally the highlight of the MOC! Don't worry, the face above is there because I got a bit scared with your MOC. It did its job!

A standing ovation from me too for our train chief, TheBrickster! Your effort and dedication on trains was always distinctive and the evolution is easily visible now! Here's to a great new start!

I'm going to agree with Legostein here having in mind the general idea and the form of the 6-wide era as we know it today - trucks being 6-wide, smaller cars 4-wide. (Great post btw Christopher. ) 6-wide in the past was the exception and not the standard practice in my opinion.

What a great creation! I can still remember the Gantry Signal Box from the contest. It was one my my two favorites. The station is amazing! I love all the small details and especially the second picture with the flora surrounding the rails. Very realistic! Well done Nexus7!

No, you 're not bad nor picky. I only wrote that having in mind if there was an extra suggestion from the mods on the topic. For example, whether to include the modulars or trains concerning this topic or something like that. I had no intentions of pointing out your job. Sorry if that sounded like that. No harm feelings I hope.

Great work! The ground floor's exterior design is amazing! The columns create a unique effect on the building and it's that particular part I think that makes this creation special. I like the entrance too, with the arch covering the windows. Nice!

Note to myself. Things to do in the new decade: 1. Learn to count. 2. ...... 3. .......

Oh, yeah!! Oh, lord, what have I done... I've turned this topic into "Does anybody else like lamb chops around here?" Now I mostly remember the food we ate 2 days ago and not the V-Strom ride. I guess we are all carnivorous mammals in here. I know! -
Excellent! This could have easily been an official Creator house! I love the way you 've built the roof! It's not too simple and having all these corners and not being symmetrical makes it really interesting to the eye. Great work!

Et tu, Brute? From the very first moment I knew that this issue was going to be mentioned. Try to see LEGO as a part of our culture. It is a common thing to use this way of counting years in culture and popular activities (music, sports, movies, LEGO etc). Technicalities OFF! Besides, 2000-2009 is still a decade, one way or another.

I think that everything stems from our childhood and the things that impressed us or made us interested even subconsciously. Being a child, you always want to do things that a grown up does and by using LEGO that could be achieved to some extend. Another thing that made me a Town builder/collector/nutter was that I could have unlimited ideas- something like a chain. You build something and then you can build something else that can be used with the first and then something else for the second etc. For example, a cargo ship. Then it goes like this: Cargo ship-harbor-crane-cargo train wagon-cargo station-truck-gas station-tanker truck etc. You get the picture. During this chain, there are always smaller or larger additions and details included in the chain's rings as you progress. Right at the point TheBrickster. A very important factor for me too. When I was a kid, space sets were either blue or later white. Castle were grey. Town was a canvas of all the colours together. It just made you feel happy only by just looking at the sets and layouts. Even now...

I just tried to ensure that this topic would be specific enough. *bows to the Master at the same time*. In sports they do. Besides, it sounds fancier that way. (Remember? 2000-2001, the new Millenium etc etc...)

So, a new decade has come. I still think it's too early to say that a 2008 set was from the previous decade but the numbers are telling the truth. The question is simple. Which set from the City/Town/Modulars theme ranging from 2000 to 2009 was the best according to you? My choice? 10184 Town Plan. It is literally a town on its own. Lots of elements and things to look at and having that classic touch but also using some modern era ideas and looks at the same time. I know, modular fans are going to point the finger at me... P.S Mods can add/change anything in the topic if they think it's necessary.

Sure thing. Just wait for me to digest these lamb chops first! -
Very nice and creative work Jameson42! I really like the colours you've used and that small picnic scene is wonderful! No excuse for being late now I guess!

No, although I wish I had made that. Judging from the URL, the creator's name is Kaminoan so all credits to him. Google images. The greatest invention after the wheel. -

Oh yes, I'm a lucky @#$&*%astard! According to the official meteorological institute, yesterday was the warmest-hottest new year's day ever recorded in Greece since 1897 (the first year of record keeping) and happened here where I live, in Crete (a.k.a land down under-the southest part of Europe together with Cyprus.) The temperature that was officially recorded was 30.1 Co During December, the lowest temperature never fell under 12 degrees. So, we took the bikes today (I was riding a friend's V-Strom 650 today- great bike!) and headed to the mountainous places here just to feel some freeze- and eat lamb chops of course! Btw, to speak the truth, I WANT SNOW!!! P.S 2 degrees CGH? Does this number really exists when it comes to temperature? -
I guess the chinese were right. (You know, a picture is worth....) Amazing work DNL! I like the details in the farm MOC such as the watermill, the water and the doors and windows frames, (Small but excellent detail. ) I also like that colour pattern you've made for the front side of the building. About the Cathedral...Well, just one word. Breathtaking! I'm literally speechless! Well done!

Perhaps the seats are diagonally placed and not side by side? Winter! (I know. Lame answer... )

THANKS Legoliner Pilot! This is the set that kept me anticipated for clearer pictures - not counting the trains of course. My assumptions were right in the spot. This plane is just like the old days sets. Not too many <insert that tiresome argument> pieces as far as I can see and the size is great! Back to the roots I hope! This is a MUST BUY! (...studs on the wings... I kinda like that... )

A great thanks to all the staff guys for your effort and contribution and for making our favorite theme's forum the best place to be! As a citizen of the T&T Forum I do feel proud for being a humble inhabitant in here and happy because this section of Eurobricks was the reason for finally being pulled out from dark ages. Townees, the future is ours! ..or to put it more simple: "One Ring Theme to rule them all! Thanks again!

He looks like he had some booze before. Wouldn't he be having gas even without the bike? -

Now that was hilarious! No wonder why they say that bikes are like chicks. The weather here is just perfect for riding. 25 Co, the sun is shining and it's New Year's day! We are the european land down under I guess. -
No question about it! Get it! It's probably the best helicopter TLG has ever released, with a good number of minifigs and a shark too! The life raft is amazing once you 've done building it. The helicopter itself is majestic. Big, detailed and with a great colour scheme. Even the stickers didn't bug me when I put them on. I consider this set as one of my best LEGO puchases.
