  1. Welcome to Eurobricks MetroiD! It's great that one more AFOL has found its way to EB. Be sure that you'll enjoy it here and take your time to be familiar with the forum. Can't wait to see some of your MOCs! Have fun and enjoy the ride! You won't regret joining! Oh, it's you.... I can still call you neighbor, right?
  2. Just this, I think this phrase speaks for itself: A great thanks Jamie!
  3. Happy birthday Captain Green Hair! Have a great time and if you have a hard time dealing with the cake candles, just place the cake behind the exhaust. That 'll do! I got the colour, I got the chopper what else....Ahhh, bike chicks! Whoops! Much better!
  4. First of all, welcome to Eurobricks lego9vtrainfan! And what a first post that is... Let me tell you, I'm just amazed! Your creations look absolutely GREAT! You've done a great job recreating the original models. Bravo! What I really enjoyed was the videos especially the second one! Using different angles and showing the trains' routes independently was just like watching a movie! Great editing my friend! Definitely keep it up that way!
  5. Great work marcosbessa! I saw your creation in classic-town.net and I really liked it. The way you've used the fabuland car base is a complete success IMO. I also like the small details such as the wind shield, the chromed/silver grills and the reverse car doors placement. My favourite is of course the female minifig's legs! A totally natural result! "Driving Miss Daisy. Soon, to a theater near you."
  6. Welcome to Eurobricks Andrew and happy birthday! "To join or not to join – that is the question." Believe me, you 've made the right choice. Have fun in here and enjoy our favourite hobby!
  7. Very nice work for once more! You've really got into the mexican spirit TheBrickster. A bull fight MOC sounds great! (Although that I'm not a fan of the real thing.) This made me laugh because it reminded me of one of those ads on TV. "Buy the mighty vehicle and the tank of the Super Action Figure Man and crash the Super Action Figure Man's Evil Enemy Action Figure!"* *Each action figure sold separately You sure know how the market works.
  8. The first contact with LEGO after many years was googling random stuff one day I was bored. I had a glimpse of googling LEGO too and after sometime I made an attempt to find the instructions of BSB on the web because I had lost the booklet during my childhood. The deciding factor of leaving dark ages behind me was Eurobricks though. I kept searching/googling for LEGO related material on the web, I ended up in here and that was it. If it hadn't been for EB, I think that I wouldn't have left dark ages. Seeing that there is an active community sharing creations and set reviews from the past and that many adults had the same enthusiasm about our childhood's favorite activity, woke me up.
  9. Genious and very creative idea! Ilove it! I was reading an article about beacons yesterday and seeing your MOC was a perfect timing. Kudos from me!
  10. I can already picture the vignettes and the photos that will use this "accident"! ...and don't forget the billboard.
  11. Great review Macoco! I was really happy when I finished building it because there was a variety of elements, structures and pieces. Exactly how it should have been. One of my favorite 2009 sets for sure!
  12. Welcome to Eurobricks jmupton2000! One more classic town fan, that's great! I'm a classic town fan myself (mostly from mid-'80s and on) and you 'll find many more in here. The last two pictures you've posted are very nice! Looking forward for your classic town MOCs! Well said. Have fun!
  13. It looks even greater now, having seeing the HQ pictures! A small ramp at the entrance for wheelchairs.
  14. "Will of steel" or "It's never too cold to go and look for older LEGO sets". Couldn't decide which comment to post. Btw, the second one is a LEGO fact, just like a Chuck Norris fact.
  15. The first sign was the EB picture showing up when opening a new tab on the browser. The second was that it kept climbing up as time was passing. Currently, it's at the top left meaning that it's the most visited site by me. I think I'm addicted.
  16. Welcome officially to Eurobricks Mac-K! I guess that I don't have to say "enjoy surfing the boards" since it's something you already know how to do it well as far as I can see. So, enjoy posting and exchanging opinions and ideas! You won't regret joining EB, that's for sure.
  17. Entering a very important meeting at work, taking out that USB stick to use it. I would REALLY love to see the reactions from the others!

    City 2010

I called the official brand store here in Greece today and they told me that they expect the new 2010 sets tomorrow. Seaplane and smart car, welcome to my collection!
  20. Interesting introduction! Welcome to Eurobricks Justin and as Cutlass Iz correctly stated, welcome back to the addiction! Have fun and enjoy!
  21. I think it looks very nice! I really like the colour scheme. Dark green, grey and tan produce a wonderful colour combination! Also, having a very good amount of minifigs is definitely a big plus, considering the fact that 4 minifigs was the limit in previous modulars. That was my initial thought too! I said: "What the *f word* is that creepy minifig face and that package/present on the box? A new logo?" A very nice addition I must say.
  22. If we count the train rails as sets, then my oldest ones are almost all the sets that had to do with 12V rails and were realeased in 1980. Check here if you're not bored, The oldest "proper" set (1981) that I have in my collection is this:
  23. That's what I have in mind. I'll just have to wait and see it from close I guess.
  24. Very nice and clear pictures metalandi. They seem pretty useful to me. I, too, own the coast guard boat ( which I really like! ) and there is indeed a certain level of similarity, mainly because of the haul. The thing is that I'm still not too conviced about the fire boat. It somehow looks a bit overloaded in my eyes and the whole structure on the haul looks a bit odd. Is it like that from close btw? The haul stickers on the coast guard boat did an excellent job because they made the haul not look too "fatty" if you know what I mean. Having the stripes on the side makes it look slimmer and longer and more balanced to the eye. That is something I noticed on the blue ship from the harbor set too. I don't know, there is something on the fire boat that doesn't pleasure my eyes. Anyway, since ships is probably my favorite subtheme I'll try to convince myself once this set arrives to Greece. Thanks again for the pictures!
  25. Although that these vehicles are a bit big for my city, I can easily say that they look great and very detailed! That VTR 2 is my favorite! I really like the front of it. Oh, and that second picture with the fleet and the crew looks great! Thanks for the pictures Laureano!
