  1. 6399, hands down. A TRUE classic! If I were a spaceman and wanted to go from place A to place B I would just take one of the small flying crafts and go. It's not called sci-fi for nothing!
  2. Great presentation you've made here TheBrickster! The tale was very fun to read. The Paradisa lighthouse has a very interesting design (I won't mention the colours since pink is not really my cup of tea) and it could be a good basis for a new official lighthouse from TLG. The 7739 is the first set I bought after exiting dark ages and it still holds a special place in my heart. Although that the structure included is not a proper lighthouse (it's more of a watch/control tower) it still has the "lighthouse look" and impression. I really like it, despite the fact that it's mostly made of big pieces. A new official lighthouse with a Power Functions light brick would have been great! P.S Give us more Nautica sets TLG!!!
  3. Nice work Peppermint! I really like the fact that you made it a 4 wide vehicle. Great choice on the wheels. Seconded!
  4. I guess that the word "Limit" isn't included in your vocabulary ACCURATEin! Your city's evolution is a thing to admire! The medical center is very very beautiful! and the glass section looks absolutely great! The farrari expansion photo left me speechless. Not only for the amazing creation but also for the way your city looks from that angle. It's like a real street scene! Excellent work for once more!
  5. Hmmm..interesting. Let's see... -The Lord Of The Rings (all three films, especially The Return Of The King) -Se7en -Indiana Jones and the temple of doom -Training Day -The Truman Show -Curse of the jade scorpion -Peter Seller's (and ONLY Peter Seller's ) Pink Panther movies -V for Vendetta -Lock Stock and two smoking Barrels
  6. I bought this last month (along with the 5898) for €7.99 each and I think that it's a great deal. A good number of pieces, some of them being pretty interesting and two minifigs. What else can you ask for? Btw, I noticed that yellow pieces included in this set look better than some of last year's.
  7. I really enjoy looking at your creations benny! You 're capable of capturing the atmosphere of a busy environment in a great way! All the details look superb! The small fishing boat is very well designed and the boat repairing house looks superb. The old tugboat... A great move of adding it in the scene! Thanks for sharing the very beautiful pictures with us!
  8. Great work Chris! It's really amazing the way you build a mini model and actually looking very accurate. Excellent selection of pieces you have there. Well done! P.S One of my favourite "flying objects" during my childhood was the Challenger space shuttle. I remember having a school bag with a print of it, posters hanging in my room and I was really sad when the accident occured.
  9. I remember these two! Great work sens! I really wanted to see the two creations together when you first posted them and here we are! They look great together and they form an excellent complete gas station. The overall design is very realistic and the colours together with the stickers are a success. Excellent job! All roads lead to Rome classic town!
  10. Happy birthday to one of the coolest EB members! Have a great day WhiteFang! Lots of happiness and joy in your life my friend! Btw, I think I know which the perfect birthday present is. A time machine. To go back in time and find some precious classic era LEGO sets! (Don't forget to bring some to me too on your way back.)
  11. Great work for once more BlueBard! The "FLORES" sign turned out really nice and I really like the backyard. The trash can looks very realistic. The interior details such as the spray bottle, the different kinds of flowers and the computer mouse are great too. "Me gustaría comprar unas flores por favor." (Blame the Google translator for any mistakes. )

Someone is confused! Here you go Macoco.
  13. The Label Guy strikes again! Great work lightningtiger! You've managed to make a realistic "garage type" building from the "not so good" official set. This is how the 7642 should look like in my opinion. Like a proper building. I love all the details you've added in there. The colour combination looks great and matches with the label perfectly. Great work and keep on....well...you know!
  14. Pure excellence! Amazing work Ralph! You 've created one of the best street scenes I've ever seen. I remember many of the creations being shown here (protection net--safety ON! ) and the key point in my opinion is the way you've combined them. The whole scenery looks full of life and that's the big success in my opinion. I really like the fact that there are many colours in your creation, one more thing that makes it so great looking. The SNOT road is great and my personal favourites are the train, the truck with the trailer (I still would like to have this in my office at work! ) and the Georgian Houses. The whole bridge-arches structure turned out great too. Excellent work for once more and thanks for sharing it with us Ralph!

Thanks for the link Castle fan! It's certainly not how I thought it would be. The colours and the building surroundings look beautiful though. I'll wait for more detailed pictures for a better view.
  16. I think you're right on this -- at least it's the most logical explanation I can think of. I've checked both sets' inventories and although that there is a number of 1x1 tiles in 6754 that boosts up the piece count, 400 pieces less for a $15 price difference is noticeable. Dark blue is dark gold I guess.
  17. Great work Badsneaker! Your MOC looks very beautiful and I like the way you've added the red "stripes" on the roof. Red and dark blue look great together.
  18. That's just amazing! As others have already said, you can't really tell if it's LEGO or a real cassette. Excellent work! You brought some great sweet memories from the '80s to me...
  19. Everything looks OK now, at least for me. I must say, Bonaparte, you're handling this in a most professional manner. [a big one] [/a big one]
  20. Carrot is good for the eyes and vision.
  21. Cool idea and excellently executed Legorski! The purple effect the one with the jester produces is impressive. The viking one really reminds me of a whirling dervish. Nice work!
  22. Great work guys. It seems faster indeed. About the symbols and letters, I too noticed something in this topic. I know that when it comes to currency symbols things are strange sometimes but I've never seen these particular ones before. I also remember that the euro sign was OK in that topic yesterday. Btw, the poster is from Italy.
  23. Genius! It turned out great considering the fact that you only used pieces from the CG platform. The box art is very suitable. Great work! EDIT: Typo fixed
  24. Thanks Inventor! I now have a new favourite minifig female head I think.
