Excuse me too, because I used the image from the previous Tournament, which could indeed seem a bit unclear. You can have one large 600X800 image with a maximum of 10 photographs in it, or two 600X800 images each with 5 photographs and so on. Or you can have 10 seperate photographs each with a maximum of 600X800 pixles. Clear enough?

Hello to all participants in the third Tournament of Retribution! I'm very glad that we have so many participants again, and I can sense a lot of hatred and enthousiasm in the forums, which are both great! However, as I also stated in another topic, things shouldn't run out of hand. When I see members commenting about 5 times or more in the same thread with insults, I think things are going a bit too far. Enthousiasm is good, but don't become too over-enthousiastic (I understand this is hard in one of the most awesome Pirates Tournaments ever, but still ). It's great that people are commenting on the entries, but usually 1 or two comments are enough to give your opinion. I also know that we've created a prize for members who make a lot of good comments, but I'd rather have 1 or 2 good and/or funny answers than 6 comments with useless insults. I don't want to create a rule like a max. of 6 posts per topic or something like that, and I also don't want to scare you off (insults are still no problem!), but the Pirates forum shouldn't become a spamforum if you get what I mean. Just like all the other Eurobricks forums, we need to keep to a certain standard. Fortunately, most of you are already very decent and active participants Now have some more croissants and rum, and off to the drawing boards again!

ToR III — The sleeping beauty

Do I need to say more? I think Mazin had a point there. And don't I spot you between these soldiers? -
Well well... you doubt our shooting skills? You'd better not put it to the test, or we'll pierce holes through your tentacles! Apart from that, it's a decent comic again. I like how the eyes are changing and how the speech bubbles protrude the panels.

The rules clearly state "create a comic of up to 10 panels".They don't say "create as many comics as you want in as many parts as you want to enhance your chance of winning." You can create as many comics as you want, and I don't mind if you make it part of a bigger story, but you'll have to choose one as an official entry. And keep in mind that the majority of the voting people will only read the one in the voting topic. Only the official one will be placed in the voting topic. Other, non-official entries also don't have to follow the rules of course

I don't mind if you make a small teaser like Frank Brick Wright did. But if you've created and posted an entire comic then I expect it to be your final one, just like we did in the previous Tournament. If you come up with a better idea, you're always free to post it, but then it won't count for the Tournament. So think wisely before you submit your final entry

ToR III — The sleeping beauty
Admiral Croissant replied to Frank Brick Wright's topic in Pirate MOCs
Yeah if you ask me, as long as you have the right minifig head you can represent somebody. It doesn't have to be 100% correct as long as you get the picture and it's funny. If you authorize your avatar you give every member the right to use your minifig. You're free to think differently. But personally I often have a good laugh even if I'm being punished myself, and even if it isn't exactly my avatar. It's allowed to say you think the comic is funny and prepare revenge in the meantime. That's also the spirit of the Tournament. Humiliate other people, but don't take things too seriously. You could also like the fact that someone has put effort into making a comic about you, even though you're getting laughed at. -

Okay things are running a bit out of hand now. Please don't spill this forum with too much non-LEGO related nonsense. Commenting on a comic or MOC is okay but please no endless and pointless conversations all the time -

Tournament of Retribution III Avatar Authorization
Admiral Croissant replied to Admiral Croissant's topic in Pirate MOCs
Agreed. If you're stuffing your avatar with rare parts you're missing the point of avatar authorization because you still won't feature in any comic. Just a tip -
Well played... also smart to choose a rather rare head for your minifig. I don't have that one but I'll take revenge one way or another! Also, don't trust my croissants, you never know what I stuffed into that pastry. In the last tournament it was concrete sometimes. That's why you don't see me eating one very often.

Tournament of Retribution III Official Signups
Admiral Croissant replied to Admiral Croissant's topic in Pirate MOCs
Yay! More Sign Ups! Unfortunately for the wrong side, but then again, more cannon fodder for us! I've added you all, and created a few new ranks: Deck Scrubber, Barkeeper and Helmsman. -
Your guide to Tournament of Retribution III
Admiral Croissant replied to hjmediastudios's topic in LEGO Pirates
Great! This is the stuff we need! It's a very accurate depiction, and I also like the professional graphics. -
Of course we prefer the classic-pirates setting, but as long as it's funny you're free to put them in any age No problem. You can always post it. When you post extra comics you might win an extra prize I'm actually quite curious about your idea. Of course! You could even use regular LEGO sets if you want to.

Tournament of Retribution III Prizes!
Admiral Croissant replied to Admiral Croissant's topic in Pirate MOCs
I'm discussing these things now.Maybe we'll change it a little, let the winner choose his favourite prize, and then the second winner, etc. -
We have finally reached an agreement upon the prizes for this contest! So here they are: We'll probably let the winner decide his favourite prize first, then the second place, and then the third will get the one that's left. This may not seem like much, only a prize for the top 3 winners, but the secret prizes shouldn't be overseen! There are quite a lot of smaller sets for you to win, like small pirate sets or weapons! You can win something by making good comics, but we'll also divide several prizes to members who make a lot of good comments (called spectator prize and ultimate fan award in the previous ToR). So you can even win if you don't participate in the regular tournament! And you can also win something by making the funniest, cruellest or most humiliating scene for example. So hurry up! Read the rules, sign up and authorize your avatar! Sign ups are open until the 7th of december. IMPORTANT Tournament Threads The Rules Official Sign Ups Avatar Authorization Prize Pool (this thread)

You can still sign up for the Tournament of Retribution III: a contest in which you make fun of either redcoat soldiers or bluecoat soldiers by creating a funny comic. Here's the prize pool: In the Prize Thread you can read how you can take a share in this treasure! After you've read the rules, you can sign up right here. Please hurry because the thread will be closed on the 7th of december!
