  1. Good comic. I like the shooting effects and such, and it was smart to cover my torso with smoke to save work Only too bad you didn't realize it was one of your spies who we shot.
  2. Oh really? Do you take it as an insult? I hope to have filled at least 5 by the end of the tournament. I don't even have more of those fancy glass jars, only crystall balls. But who knows, perhaps I'll take more victims
  3. The Tournament of Retribution is up and running! The number of entries for this competition is steadily growing. Have a look in the Pirates MOC Forum for more!
  4. It's a nice entry, but indeed you didn't make it very clear that those were islanders. A cape isn't very islander-ish either. I think our rules were quite tolerant, but unfortunately I can't allow this entry. I suggest you change it and at least use the word "islander". Also, since your islander setting seems quite easy to make, perhaps it would be better to retake the pictures and add these decals to the islanders (just as you did with my avatar): Islander decal 1 / Islander decal 2 This would make sure your entry gets accepted and it will give you a higher chance of winning
  5. Too bad you didn't have time for a good layout, but it gets kind of compensated for by the excellent story! The mooning, the sculpture making/whistling chief and the slow and horrible death the Redcoats are facing all made me laugh I added this entry to the overview in the Rules thread.
  6. A good weapon for cowards like you. The image is nice however (good work on the ligthing), and could be used as a succesful Redcoat recruitment poster Even though I still see most of them wandering around with their primitive weapons from the stone age.
  7. Thanks for all the comments so far! I understand there was some confusion concerning the order of pictures so I've added some arrows now. Oh, the age-old negation. It had to be a redcoat because only a redcoat would be stupid enough to fall into my plan. Nuff said. Thanks. Actually it's a rather simple cheap camera, but it's good indeed. I always build only two walls for comics so there's enough light. The black walls also make it look quite dark even though that's not really the case. And this time I made a small hole in the roof to get some kind of ceiling light effect. Thanks! And it's LEGO so you're always free to kill them a second time. ...or a third (or more!).
  8. Enjoy!
  9. It would be cruel to feed a shark one of those poisonous redcoats. I see MstrOfPppts is also enjoying his time on the bottom of the sea But the picture is good. I hope this will be revenged!
  10. This proofs your savage cannibalism! And the flag is on its side again. Nevertheless, it's a good clear picture. Nice one.
  11. Nice brick rock effect! Very comic-like. I also like how you hear it rumbling in the first images We may have lost but we were closer to your fortress than you will ever be to ours!
  12. Have your moment of fun. Spoling the forum with cheap stories Our contest entries will beat you anyway! Nevertheless, Merry Christmas everyone!
  13. Thanks for all the comments! The long border could have been fixed indeed. The non-pressed fence however, is a very accurate depiction of the average redcoat buildings. The hair was too filthy. I had to throw it away, otherwise there would be mould all over my trophy room.
  14. Great entry! Both Red Hat and Brickington's faces seem to be cut out for this kind of role. They always look angry when they get into trouble again. Only the ropemaker seems to like it The fat bellies are no surprise either given their laziness.
  15. That is truly awesome! Ingenious how you managed to make some kind of technic arm in such a small tentacle And I've moved this to the MOC forum
  16. Good to see the forum is online again! It appears that "the database got corrupted". Of course the EB staff is going to take further action in order to prevend this from happening another time. In order to do this, they will make the forum go offline again some time but you will be informed about this. More information can be found on the EB Frontpage. Fortunately no posts were lost and the Tournament can continue without further ado.
  17. There are almost now neutral members in the crew, and the ones that are neutral didn't want to be involved/didn't have time.Next to that, as far as I know Red Hat has the same powers as Blackmoor and me. And ZCerberus is also a crewmember. If they want to help with moderating the competition I won't stop them, but I believe they rather just participate. Especially that lazy monkey ZCerberus. Also, this topic may have been started by a Bluecoat, but Redcoats can post stuff as well. And we try to be neutral in terms of keeping the tournament orderly. If you think we really favour Bluecoats here, please give examples.
  18. Don't be too hasty next time Making a nice MOC is one thing, presentation is also very important! I plain white background can make things look much more professional and in this case it could compensate for the image quality. Nevertheless, it's a nice build.
  19. That's brilliant! Simple, yet brilliant. Good luck with experimenting, I hope to see more!
  20. I think it's rather funny! The image quality could be better of course, but take the fabuland monkey for example. Hilarious
  21. Excellent! Even though most of the redcoats aren't a big challenge to us either The text under the wanted images is also nice!
