  1. It does! You can still participate if you only make 1 entry. And I think we'll use New Zealand time zone (that's GMT + 12 I believe).
  2. Great one! Good story, good editing and enough funny elements! I feel honoured that the Vesta made an appearance in this comic I also had to laugh about the angry face of Red Hat when he's being thrown against those cones Good luck in the tournament!
  3. Nice one. And a good eye for detail, seeing the small red vs. blue game in the first pictures, and a fresh load of caught redcoats! The last shot is also full of funny elements. I wonder if these fans also start cutting themselves if Beaver gets addicted to something
  4. Haha great
  5. Always good to see people making additional free build comics. Although I don't find this as offensive as some of the other comics, except for Fugazi perhaps.. A minifig's gonna do what a minifig has to do
  6. Nice comic! But unfortunately it needs a little improvement. The rules state that a redcoat should be included. You have 9 panels now, so you could quite easily make another picture with a redcoat in it. This is one of the rules I'd really like to see in every entry. It's Red versus Blue after all
  7. I had another go at this. Unfortunately Mazin and Yawgmoth aren't very visible anymore, but outside of that I like this version the best. One can do more with Gimp and MS Paint than you might think This will be the last one. I don't want this to become an addiction
  8. That is magnificent! It's a fantastic and very detailed build. Very clever you you managed to make an interior with this building technique. And the working rudder is a great feature too! I think the headrail would look more accurate if you'd put another vertical hose in the middle, between the other two. And the first bowsprit beam and topgallant yards seem to be too thick and long IMO. Then again, I really like the fact that you're adding stunsails! Good luck!
  9. Nice one! No surprise you caught a fat redcoat! I also see you're starting to collect heads. I warn you, it can be very addictive! Too bad for the cropping, it could have been solved in MS Paint quite easily. But on the other hand it doesn't really bother me.
  10. Thank you all for the comments so far! Well I tried to make it look like an old photograph so that's why it's a little bit blurry and why I included a link to a larger coloured pic. I would be honoured
  11. Sometimes even redcoats have good ideas, so I too made a group picture. It was loosely based on this US Civil War photograph. I tried to include everyone (at least, the active participants), but I couldn't find Deathdog's avatar and I didn't have all the parts to make Antonio, Fugazi and Ecclesiastes properly. I did my best to make them as accurate as possible with the parts I had. Anyway, I hope I didn't miss anyone. From left to right: Cara, Sebeus I, Frank Brick Wright, Kabel, Yawgmoth, Mazin, Deathdog, Ratshot, Admiral Croissant, The Inventor, Esurient, Antonio, Grimmbeard, Brig. Brick, Ecclesiastes, Fugazi, Captain Blackmoor. Here is a link to the larger, coloured version. EDIT: I decided to make a better version: And a link to a larger version of the same photograph + Large and colored.
  12. JUST ONE MORE WEEK FOR THE SECOND ROUND ENTRIES TO BE POSTED THE ROUND WILL BE CLOSED SOMEWHERE ON THE 2ND OF FEBRUARY
  13. There could be useful ones among the Prince of Persia theme or Pirates of the Caribbean. Captain Blackmoor has made some nice decals too (most of them for yellows though), and I have made a few decals of Master and Commander characters (one of those crewmembers, William Warley, did wear a striped shirt by the way). But now you say so, there aren't that many ordinary sailor decals, especially for fleshies. So if someone feels the urge to make them, feel free to do so!
  14. Hello captain gabe, What exactly is your aim with this topic? Letting people share nice Royal Navy decals they found somewhere? In that case, there already is a place for Royal Navy decals and other decals. Take a look in the Great Pirate Torso Library. Or did you want to share your self-made decals? In that case you could also share them in the great pirate torso library so they will be added too
  15. I do the same thing. I arrange the pictures in MS Paint and add the normal text there. Then I prnt scrn it, paste it in Word, add speech bubbles and their text, then prnt scrn and paste in MS Paint again to save it in the right format. Quite easy and basic but usually with a decent result.
  16. Hmm well I think I'll accept this one. The two extra pictures are very small and could be seen more like thoughts. It wouldn't make much difference if there were thought-balloons around them. I also think it won't affect the voting. Next to that, about half of the pictures here are quite similar. If there were two extra 600x800 pictures with text and stuff it would be a different story. Now on to the entry itself. The idea of an opera is very original. I'm not a big fan of opera but I watched the scene on youtube and you did a rather good job. Your pictures also have somewhat of a musical look. But, I don't agree with my croissants smelling bad
  17. Some of you may have seen this famous film about a monkey that gets angry when he's being treated unfair. This gave me the idea of doing an experiment to see whether or not a monkey is smarter than a Redcoat. First of all, I had to catch one of those bastards. Dr. Spock turned out to be the victim.
  18. Yes they have been taken down by Moschino when he retired from Eurobricks.
  19. Nice! Looks like she's sailing through very thin ice. The rigging looks very realistic too. It always surprises me how many different good looking ships you can make with a limited amount of parts
  20. Moschino has retired from Eurobricks.
  21. I had a talk with Hjmediastudios and he will remake his entry for the first round in real LEGO. This means the problem is solved and no digitally created comics are allowed whatsoever. This counts for both Bluecoats and redcoats.
