They turned out very well It seems quite hard making it detailed like that on such a small object. But you did a good job. They look even more French now

I think the crow´s nest is one of the easier parts of a ship. The best way to make them (I think) is just taking a look at some pictures of real (or model) ships/paintings and try to make it as good as possible with lego. Or take a look at the ship MOC's here that you like most and see or ask how they did it. Good luck!

W.I.P. Light Frigate (still without a name)
Admiral Croissant replied to Matteo1130's topic in Pirate MOCs
I think it gets too wide in the middle. But the colourscheme is nice as is the curve in the hull. It would be great to see more pictures soon -
It's a good design (actually CGH's I believe), but as you can see on this picture, the 'tooth' isn't really pointed inward: However, I don't know a better way to do this. But perhaps this makes it even easier. Maybe you could use this part, but that gives the same problem. Good luck

It's nice to see almost the same ship but with different colours. The sails in the front seem longer than the yards but otherwise it's a good MOD. I also like the figurehead, it suits well to the name. Good job
-
It's looking good so far but I think you could lengthen the widest part a bit towards the front. There's still a bow to come so it will become longer so I think it may look better when you do that. The cannons are nice. In the future, some lanterns and inverted slopes on the roof would also look good. The rest of this ship looks fine IMO, and I always like the black and white colour scheme Good luck!

Great chapel I really like the tiles on the interior walls and on the floor. Of course the windows are also very nice (good to have trans-clear cheeses ) Now I read how you made those windows, I think it's very skilful. And the church would be good to use for some kind of Lego-comic. Good job!

You can find the torso library here. And you can also ask this question in the decal wish list topic here.

I'm proud to be the captain of this ship It's really nice. The details on the deck, the height of the masts and the shape are all good. If you want to improve it, you could make the top pieces of the masts thinner and perhaps make the part between the headrails a bit smaller. It's quite big for such a small ship. A spanker sail and some jibs would also look great but maybe that's just hard to do with LDD. But it would be great if you made something like this in real some time
-
Well, if we're going to England next summer (or winter) he might be able to help. But and ironclad is also a great (and original) idea. It's always good to have some ideas in mind for later projects

I'm disappointed to hear that you don't want to make it on brickbuild's anymore.. You don't have to use CGH's technique, but just a brickbuild hull will look very good on such a big ship. Please reconsider it, there is still plenty of time left to make it. (so perhaps, somewhere in the future?)

I will show my MOC there. But I have some test from school so I don't know when I will be there myself. My MOC (ship) will be there every day.

Hello there! I found this funny little MOC on MOCpages (well.. actually Mister Phes did) and I'd like to share it with you. Dinner With the Islanders Captain Gerald tragically misinterprets the Islanders desire to, "have him for dinner" [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] Thanks for watching!

Haha I like the convict decals It may be a stupid question, but what are all the arrows for?
-
It's a rather nice ship I think it would look even better with headrails though, and maybe reduce the curve a little bit. It's a short ship so with so much curving it easily looks a bit like it's breaking in two. But the colourscheme is very nice, as is the black uniforms and the more detailed pieces around the poop deck. It's also great that this is an experiment for bigger projects in the future

If I were columbus I would take a few steps away from Blackbeard Anyway, these are some pretty nice minifigs. I like Drake's torso and John P. Jones is also a good idea. He usually doesn't get much attention. Good job
-
Congratulations indeed! Good luck on the stern. You could try to just make it without a slope if a small slope is too difficult. Just try some different techniques (when you have time to build again of course ) and see what looks best.

C. von Nassau, of course you're right about the war being a complete disaster. But on the other hand I think you're paying too much attention to this wrong topic. I think we should all just stop spamming this topic full with this kind of talking since it's a pirate forum and that's where the talking should be about. Furthermore, I think this topic should be closed and efullner should post normal stuff in the future. Croissant.

Take a look in our index here to get ideas. Then buy the parts on Bricklink. Click catalog, click parts and then just look around to find the necessary parts. (useful parts could be black round bricks or highlight bricks and you could also look under colour 'black'.) Good luck

The cannons are a bit strange but also original. I like the pirate shooting sideways. The SNOT water is also very nice, as is the fort. Reason enough for this: [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]

haha that's an awesome little movie Great that you're making it out of lego, can't wait to see more pictures!

New Update French frigate 'Vesta'
Admiral Croissant replied to Admiral Croissant's topic in Pirate MOCs
Yes a two-decker is a possibility. I'm thinking of building this ship (click here, it's the ship in the middle) in minifig scale with capt. Blackmoor. But we also have some other ships in mind. A two-decker is certainly a good possibility. -
Well, your ships are not very impressive. They are quite small and you probably didn't spend a lot of time on making them. Your minifigs however, are interesting. I wonder the same thing as Phred. I also like the small detail of the sailor who gets decapitated by a cannonball

Small but nice MOC's I especially like the second story, of the warning bell (you can easily think of a bedtime story around it ) Anyway, good job!

Wonderful fort! I love all the action going on and the fort is made in a great way [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] EDIT: You may not know what this image means, it means that your MOC will be on our frontpage soon
