  1. Of course every battle has its aftermath. And though there are many "battle MOC's", this scene is very original. I like the screaming face too, and just the crates full of limbs and stuff that are being thrown into the hole. Good job!
  2. I already filled in the AFOL survey.. But I didn't think of this one. This would make a great new Lego piece IMO. It may be a little too large, but you still did a nice job
  3. It's always good when they want to hear from the customers. This time I said I really hope they'll make a wig (for the pirates theme) in the future. Anyway, I think this should be blogged, but I don't know if I have the time for it in the following days, so if someone else can do it, that wold be great EDIT: I had time for it, so [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  4. I think one cannon is enough. Looking at the poor drowned skeletons, I think the pirates themselves are cruel and fierce enough to defend their hideout properly Like blackmoor said some splashing water would be nice as well, but of course it can just be on a nice day. As usual a great job, with a lot of different techniques and details
  5. That's good to hear cap'n! I've been able to make the French flags you wanted and I'll take it to Zwolle as soon as possible. I think I won't be able to go there tomorrow, but wednesday I think I will. Anyway, I can't wait to see your ship finished and on display!
  6. Really? I thought it was November the 11th.. in our country it's always celebrated on that day. Children pass the houses and (a bit like with Halloween)they sing something and get a treat. Anyway, it's a nice story and you did a good job on this. EDIT: Oh, you're Dutch too so you know how we celebrate it
  7. The two buildings are excellent! It's ingenious how much detail you've been able to put in such a small MOC Good luck in the contest (I suppose it's still going on).
  8. Blast! Well, that's such a long time ago, I guess it's not a very big problem to have it on the frontpage for 1 or 2 more days.. Thanks for pointing it out though, I'll check it better next time (I only checked the creator's name).
  9. There isn't a lot of stuff in the Legoforum lately, so I thought, let's share one of those fine brickshelf MOC's with you It's a Pirate hideout, made by Legohaulic. I couldn't find any more information about it, but I think the story is something like this: A few pirates have kidnapped the admiral's daughter and taken her to their hideout. In this MOC we see how the admiral (himself, the brave man doesn't let his soldiers do the work for him) tries to save his daughter, who walks the plank. And here are a few pictures: More pictures can be found here And it's [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  10. You can change that for yourself. Just click "edit this post" and then "use full editor" and then you can change it. It's a nice ship. The sails & rigging could have been a bit better, but the curve and widening of the hull are good. I also like the swivel guns and the stern. Pujo did a good job on this one
  11. It's still a heavy frigate. If it fought in the line of battle it would be a 4th rate indeed. But usually, even large frigates didn't fight in the line of battle (even though some of them could win of a 4th ship of the line).
  12. That's awesome! I see some very nice building techniques and it looks very similar to the 'real' thing. Onfortunately I probably miss some things due to the 'sails'. Could you please post some more pictures? Wonderfoul job anyway
  13. That's more like how that sail should be. Nice improvements Slyowl! The side galleries are lovely this way
  14. You can, but you can still improve it a tiny bit. Usually the bow of the 'lifeboat' is in the same direction of the bow of the ship. The headrails are almost perfect, but you can also try to make it more like this and see how it looks: Good luck!
  15. Did he swim with, or without his head? (sorry for being off topic, won't do it again ) I heard his head was cut off and hanged on the point of the bowsprit.
  16. Welcome to Eurobricks! You made a nice ship. But as with Slyowl's, the spanker sail (lenthwise sail in the back) is placed far too high on the mast. And I also agree with ZCerberus' critics. But the colours, the sails and the details are all very nice. I really like the small golden minifigs. Good job
  17. I'm glad that you (being a MOC-expert) like it I think I'll wait a couple of weeks before I start a new project, but I'm definitely planning to build a two decked (and minifig scale)ship. Yeah, if I make it minifig scale next time, I can put a lot more things like that in it (more lanterns, working wheel/capstan). I would also like to make cannons which can fire with some smoke or something like that if it's possible. Anyway, I can't wait to start with a new ship. A larger scale gives much more opportunities for these things, and for more detail
  18. Nice! I like these historical minifigs a lot, you should make more of them Karl Marx would make a nice one too, or Louis XIV, Lord Nelson, (and many more actually...). Anyway, these look great, good job
  19. That's good to hear =) It won't be a problem for her to sail to LegoWorld then.

  20. A ship that Mr. Phes found on Flickr, HMS Brunswick: I think it looks rather nice (Although it's still a WIP). Here is the Flickr link. So what do you think of it? [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  21. Yes, this is the correct way: Good luck. I think a tan 'gunline' will look great. I believe I haven't seen it before but it seems very realistic.
  22. It looks great now Usually most of the 'deck planks' (brown tiles) are put lenghtwise in the ship, but that's just a small detail. The fact that you're using tiles is nice and all the brown arches look fine as well. Since you're making the gundeck quite detailed, are you making it modular (that you can get acces to the gundeck)?.
  23. Thanks again for all the comments That's great. Unfortunately I won't be there the 24th. I have a hard test from school the next day But the ship will be there and that's the most important thing It's a frigate from the late 18th or early 19th century (about 1800). There are 'just' 5 croissants aboard now, but one of them is made of gold and I have 8 croissants elsewhere.
  24. Nice MOC Most of the plants-stuff can be seen in most of your MOC's but still, they are always great to look at I like all your scenes of regular people just doing their daily bussiness. And the buildings are good as well. Good job!
  25. Thanks for all the kind comments I just put some more high res. pictures on my Brickshelf(under the name 'vestaa1'-'vestaa7'), also with some details. You can see them as soon as they are public. I suppose you mean how I did the 'lattice work' on it? Here you can see one of the windows. As you can see it's this window, but I put a waterslide decal on it.
