  1. Great story, great comic I think we can have a short cease-fire with the bluecoats now until 2011 The pictures are all very clear and I really enjoyed the last ones with all the cruel weapons and where a redcoat gets thrown into the fireplace Thanks a lot for doing this. It was a good idea
  2. I don't know anything about Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, but your MOC looks good. It does have that slightly disorderly look that their (the Weasleys) own house has in the movie (prisoner of Azkaban?). I like the desk on the ground floor and the outside-design with the 'bay window'(?) and the turned legs around the window. Good job
  3. They look great Good work on Jasmine's hairpiece and on Genie's head. Genie looks very funny, while in real he has a big body and a tiny head, you made his head much bigger But it looks excellent!
  4. Congratulations to all of you! More power is also more responsibility, but I think you will all continue to serve the forum well. Keep up the good work and enjoy your promotion
  5. Yes, order and neatness are two very important things aboard a ship. Once you mix all the ropes, disaster will strike The gundeck looks excellent now and so does the rigging (like I said before). You could also remove the lower yard of the spritsail (on the bowsprit), but it's already a perfectly seaworthy vessel. Well done
  6. Thanks for pointing that out. They look very good I've got to try this myself some time.
  7. I liked the idea of making croissants with Harry Potter So here it is: EDIT: My title has reached it's date of expiry so a new title would be very welcome
  8. Happy Birthday shell-animal! (or crustacean. or Skalldyr) May you get barrels full of crabs and Lego!
  9. That's 2 promotions in a short period of time. Well done And also well deserved of course. Keep up the good work and you may one day push the old man with the mask off his throne Congratulations!
  10. Great new part again! The snowman outside is a good detail, and the comic is just very funny again. I had to laugh at the shot where Skalldyr sais he's not tasty (and he almost gets eaten by his fellow Pirate Editor ) and this guy is telling a joke with 'a bluecoat, a redcoat and greencoat walk into a bar..'. Hilarious!
  11. Welcome to EB! That's an impressive large army you've got there I like the shot of the governor and his guests. What wigs did you use there?
  12. And you have a good reason to be happy with your ship. It looks great. As a 'first attempt' you did a very good job.Small changes that you could make are letting the spanker sail be tied up on the upper yard instead of the lower one, and make the bow of the sloop in the same direction as the bow of the big ship. It's an honour for me to be invited for the maiden voyage of this beautiful (bluecoat!) ship. Even though that strange wannabe-croissant is looking a little bit weird Good luck on the gundeck!
  13. Nice tumblehome, figurehead, name and stern. And also a nice new way of using the idea of 'Nelson's chequer' Maybe it could use another rope or sail from the mast to the bowsprit to make the bowsprit more useful. Still, nice ship
  14. It has been said many times already, but that's a great roof design. Especially from a small distance it looks very realistic. And there are more nice things in it, like the shields on the houses, the viking ship and the well (simple, but good). Very Viking-ish
  15. I do think that the drawbridge should be 'made of wood'(brown bricks). A bridge of stone would be very strong, but also very heavy to hoist But outside of that, it's a very nice castle. I first thought it would be made of sand, but this is far more impressive I like the windows, the high number of arches and the telescopes for the fence. Well done.
  16. Thrilling! I can't wait for the next part to come. And I wonder how long they will be able to hold the peace Although in real I would never propose a peace-agreement, it's nice to see how it would turn out. Nice job so far
  17. You could make the upper yard of the spanker sail a bit more sloped, as long as the bottom one is horizontal. That's the only small point of critic I can give. The rest is perfect, with an excellent rigging! Good work
  18. Excellent trailer, I can't wait to see the full movie. But too bad that it seems like Blackbeard doesn't have those smouldering fuses in his hair like the real one probably did Anyway, I still expect a great movie. Thanks for sharing André!
  19. Excellent You could make both yards a bit more horizontal (especially the lower one) and then it'll be perfect. And the other sail is removed correctly as well. Nice job
  20. That must have been a lot of work! Great work on the animation, it's very smooth. Especially how everything turns into orange. Impressive!
  21. Another pirate/history fan! Always welcome. Guess we'll see you around in the pirate forum then. And I hope you'll post some good MOC's here. Enjoy the forum!
  22. Oops! I guess I should follow the other themes a little bit more. Well, in this case, you chose the torso well
  23. Arr! The bigger the ship is, the better (certainly a bluecoat ship)! Somehow I can't see all the images, and the last ones seem to portrait it in a more recent state than the ones before.. Anyway, from what I can see, it's a rather nice ship. I like the use of a stable and a chicken coop. I don't see those things very often, but it's very realistic. The other features seem nice as well, but you could try to make the decks more 1 colour instead of using red, black and grey like in the 'marines bunks'. And I don't get what the propeller is doing there. Is it supposed to be a capstan? Good luck anyway.
  24. Your BS-link links to a different MOC here, but anyway, this one is great. I like the use of white minifigs as pillars and the 'thinking man' statue is nice as well (and very recognizable). The white flowers on the building are also a nice touch and the slave (or whatever it is) is quite funny too with that face. Well done
  25. I got a new title as well. Will get a lot of croissants for Christmas! I think Capt. Blackmoor gave it to me, perhaps because I said that I would like a new one, or because I blogged quite a lot of articles for classic-pirates last week (or 2 weeks ago..?).
