  1. As the posts above (and this thread) make clear, everybody has a different opinion about this Fact is that most British members here prefer redcoats, and Bluecoats are much more often referred to France instead of another country. I think that's about all you could say about this. Everyone can make up his own story about this as long as Redcoats are against Bluecoats and vice versa.
  2. They are great indeed! Although I prefer the tree of the first one, the 'updated' version is superior on all other things. The gate, the angled rocks and the fact that it has an interior are the best things of this MOC IMO. And the details on the top are also awesome of course Well done.
  3. En der wie er al. Noch in kear bedankt!

No bin ik foarlopich wer tevreden:)

  4. Good review. I've added it to the index and the first page of the PotC thread. I think I prefer the other polybag sets because of the Jack Sparrow minifig, but this one is nice too. The main sail was placed too low on your pictures compared to the set image, but that's no big problem of course Anyway, thanks for giving us some better views of this set.
  5. I'm sorry to say this but I think the pictures will take ages to load for some people. So instead of noting these are heavy pictures, could you please resize them? Otherwise I'm afraid we have to remove them. If you don't know how to resize them, here is an MS Paint tutorial. But you could of course also do it with Irfanview or picresize.com for example.
  6. Wow that's quite an awesome ship already! Lovely colourscheme and overall the shape is good as well. But there are indeed a few things that can be improved. I'll try my best to explain First the bow. Actually the gold line there is very nice. Unfortunately the scheg (?) is a bit edgy, but I don't know a better way to do that... As for the headrails, usually the top beams are longer than the ones below. The curve inwards is good, but I think they should be curved downwards as well. You could try to use Vesta's headrail technique with pearl gold jumpers. Again I'm not sure how to do this with pearl gold..I guess you had the same problem. What you could do at least is to remove the pearl gold plates which I encircled in red on this picture. The line shouldn't go as far back as the headrails. On that same picture you can see the green circle. I think the bow can be shortened a little bit. It's round at the bottom, but at the top there's a sort of cut out (like here) But that's not neccesary because Trincomalee has an all round bow for example. My other suggestions are for the stern. On most frigates, the stern deck is less wide as the rest of the deck, and yours gets wider. This can be achieved by simply adding a roof on the side galleries (like on Achille and Vesta). And I think you could place the stern windows a bit higher but that could just be personal taste. That's all. Good luck and keep it up
  7. Great little MOC I like how you did the stairs, and there are enough things/details to look at. I thought pirates mostly drank rum, but these guys seem to drink some very strange things
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks! That's a very nice MOC as a start. It's very original with many new techniques. I'm not sure if they will all be used by other MOCers though. Especially the waves, the twig and the bird are excellent. The feet look a bit too much monkey-like, but they are funny I like the running bluecoat the most. He's a bit like a comic figure with those legs. Nice one [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  9. Great to see a new update again, and I must say these buildings look awesome The new ones certainly are more MOC-Expert like as the previous ones (although they didn't look bad either). Anyway, this has to be blogged. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  10. Croissant and ship expert! I think Capt. Blackmoor gave it to me because I recently got a MOC Expert tag. Yay!
  11. You're building quite fast I think everything looks great, but I have a few suggestions. Compared to this picture, I think your headrails (especially the top beam) could be curved a bit more. And I suppose your bowsprit isn't the final product, so you could make the overlap part of the two sections longer, and all black. And the rest is awesome Keep it up!
  12. Well I believe one gets a flag tag when becoming a regulator but the people wo give them usually aren't very active in the Pirates Forum. On the other hand they find it annoying when someone asks for a tag..

  13. Bjornu, please don't make 2 posts directly after each other where you could have made 1 post with the same text. And in the future, rather post something when you've actually built something and not just an empty baseplate. Still, I wish you good luck on this MOC. By the way, here is a glossary list with acronyms.
  14. Happy Birthday Big Cam! I hope you'll get lots of LEGO and rum, and perhaps a promotion soon. But the most important thing of course is to have a great day
  15. Tankewol! No alinnich noch in vlagje :p

  16. Looks excellent and very accurate. I especially like the last picture with the beautiful aerodynamic shape. Keep it up
  17. Looks awesome, but aren't you going to give the yellow gunlines a slight curve? Or perhaps only towards the stern? Again, outside of that it's just awesome and very impressive
  18. Awesome MOC! Unfortunately I couldn't find more pictures of it, but I can see a lot of great things on this single picture too. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] -without a doubt!
  19. A few deeplinked pictures may work good as well (in the right size), but it's a great fortress. Very large and impressing and worth a place on our frontpage. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  20. Looks good, although there are a few small things that I would change: If you have the bricks, I would change the few black bricks into brown ones (red) so it looks less 'chaotic' I would also remove the inner jib yard (green) as I've never seen that on a schooner of this era. And finally you could add an extra sail on the main mast, but I leave that up to your own taste. Good luck. By the way, you should be able to change the title yourself. Click on edit the first post, then on "use full editor" and then you can change it. I hope it works, otherwise I or another staff member can do it for you.
  21. It has an official look and the pictures are very clear. The scenes are also nice. I'm looking forward to see more of these
  22. Looks good so far Nothing wrong with it IMO I wonder how the overall look will turn out with all the LEGO-shrouds. I believe I haven't seen the combination like this before.
  23. This is awesome. I though about doing something like this on my ship but I didn't have the skills and bricks for it. The moving cannons are great and the real light will probably be great as well. The colourscheme is also nice, but perhaps you could make the blue line continue between the two bowchasers. Good luck on this!
  24. Excellent review. This is an awesome little set. Too bad it's still quite hard to get it cheap in my country. When there's a good way to get one, I'd really want one!
  25. LEGO AFOL, please never again quote such a large post. And certainly not just for saying "very nice". Rather say something useful which really adds something to the conversation. Thanks in forward. I've also edited your post so we don't see the long quote anymore.
