Here's a service station. Unlike present-day Octan station, this one is Esso, remembering the first one, at the times of old town plan. It has only two types of fuel, maybe diesel and unleaded, but it has a small garage too. It comes also with a tow truck and a tanker truck (see my flickr for more pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/salvobrick )

More vehicles, done rebuilding older ones. This yellow long-distance bus has replaced the old green urban bus I had before buying the set 7641. The roof can be removed for easy access: Most of the bricks of the bus comes from the yellow van I did some days ago. So, I replaced that van with this green one: It's a bit simple, could be modified in future. Hope you like

Hello! Most of the vehicles of my new town are the same of the old versions of the town, or even official sets (sometimes with minor modifications). Some vehicles are new: here there are some of them: The surfer girl needs a pickup to carry her surf board And the fashion victim needs a large SUV for all thay she bought in her shopping tours But the town needs work vehicles too, so a transport van (could be modified in future) and a forklift Better view of the forklift. Hope you like even if they are 4-wide (except the van, of course) -HELP!- I wrote "time" in the topic title instead of "town": could the moderators change the topic title to "New vehicles for a new town"? Thanks in advance.

B-OM-33C & B-OM-33D Two more detailed modulars, new versions of old ones: A bank, with pieces from #3661 A bookstore, previously a generic store, tomorrow... who knows! :) As usual, no interiors. More pics on my galleries (see signature) 'Bye!

Excellent design, 4-wide cars forever! :)

Uh, another suggestion: use grey road baseplates, possibly the old light-grey type: your town will look _much_ better
-
My only suggestion is: do not mix city "open back" buildings to "closed back" buildings, like creator or modulars. The scale of vehicles isn't a problem to me: even in reality vehicles has grown bigger in the latest decades.

Layout Back from vacations, I did some small updates to my city. Here's a preview: More pictures on my Brickshelf gallery or on my Flickr (see sig.) 'Bye!

Very, very nice! I like it! Have you put it in a layout?

B-OM-24C & B-OM-24D Two more modulars: The italian ristorante Formerly a pizzeria, since a new one has opened in town, the management has turned it into a ristorante. Here the chef asks: "erano buoni gli spaghetti?" The green grocer: The shop has been rent to a green grocer where you can find cherries, apples, cabbages and yellow melons Uh, and other stuff like old-fashioned bubble-gums. More on brickshelf or on my flickr (see signature)

B-PM-02B Second renewed building: the Police station: This is much better than the previous version: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/legomaneitaliano/MOCs/CCstyle/police01.jpg It has a garage and some security rooms for prisoners. More pictures in their Brickshelf gallery (when moderated) on in my Flickr one (see my signature): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=507528

Simple and excellent at the same time. I like the design!

B-OM-23E Some people asked for more details. Some of the modulars haven't changed much in the latest years (I had little or no time to work on them, and only during summer). Now I've changed a few of them, and I will change even more in future. Let's see the first one, the Blue cafè, that's also a hotel... and it's a corner bulding... Uhm, anyway there's always been a Blue cafè in my town, with different shapes and syles. Sorry, no interiors I have no time nor pieces to build detailed interior, and I think I won't add for may years in future since I give priority to external appearance. The tour continues... more details In this town everybody is working hard. Here there are some road repairs It's important to keep your house clean and repair it My car is small, but I like it, I don't need a bigger car The town is changing fast. There are some places I couldn't recognize after a few days... For example, I didn't remember this construction site... If I want to visit it, I must wear a helmet It's so high here... Hmm, what is this? Uh-oh! Hope you like the tour, more to come

Love the 70's F1 cars!
-
To add some variety (and use some grey bricks), I've temporarly replaced one of the modular with a construction site. Backside
-
Another update: Hardware store and Taxi garage (changed a few details) Green grocer, restaurant Police station Service station What do you think? Is anyone interested to see the individual modulars in detail? 'Bye!

Small pics this time, so no worries about deletion. Like in 2008, I made a small guided tour to my new modular town, so I can show some of the details... So, let's start the tour! Hello, I'm Salvobrick, and this is my new home. It has a pharmacy down, and the neighborhood is full of shops and services Here's a map, so nobody can get lost Here we find a restaurant. Obviously an ITALIAN restaurant Uh-oh, it seems that somebody lost the bus... At the green grocer's we can find the best fruit and vegetables These ladies just did some shopping at the fashion store At the hardware store we can find all we need for... what!? The mail box covers the shop? Damn... Traffic lights make safe crossing the street I can have a good coffee at the blue corner cafe And a tasty pizza too It's important to keep the city clean In front of the police station there's the TV crew, I wonder why... I need to take some cash from the ATM I almost forgot to send a letter. Luckily there is a post office nearby Here we are on the station. There's a lot of people waiting for their train And I mean, a LOT of people, of every kind It seems that somebody ran out of gas... I'd like to have an ice cream... Ouch! And finally a good beer! Hope you enjoyed the tour! Seeya soon with new pictures!

I mean, they are very realistic, they require a lot of bricks.
-
Those roofs are even better than good! :)
-
Interesting idea!
-
Yes, it's that Some of the buildings are "updated" versions of old ones: the barber's, the blue cafè, the hardware store, the service station.
-
I think that's finished for this moment. Added _some_ of the MOCs and vehicles I have, and it's too "crowded" to me... Anyway, here some pictures: Town2012/town2012new_01 General overview Town2012/town2012new_03 "corner cafè" and traffic lights Town2012/town2012new_04 Two stations: service station and train station Town2012/town2012new_06 Former pizzeria, now italian restaurant Town2012/town2012new_09 Main street Town2012/town2012new_11 Train station from the tracks side More pictures soon

Almost finished I'll add a few more details later, then I'll add vehicles and minifigs.
