There once was a king in Historica, who wanted a new weapon. He ordered a powerful wizard to make him a tube of some kind that shoots tiny arrows very far. "Ok, I will see what I can do", the wizard said. He went home and started experimenting. "Nope, this isn't good", he kept mumbling to everything he made. At last he invented something that gave a small explosion. "That is good, but it needs a bigger explosion". So he went back to the king and asked him to give him more money to research. The king was getting impatient and said: "I want that new weapon by the end of the week. If you haven't finished it by sundown on Sunday, you will be killed." "Good luck with that, but I still need that money". The king was getting angrier and angrier, but he gave the wizard a chest full of shiny things. "Go now, and finish that weapon!" The wizard went back to his house, and he accidentally put a little bit too much of everything in the cauldron. When he put the last ingredient in, the whole thing exploded with a very loud bang. "Oops". The wizard was dead. When the king send his men to capture the wizard when he didn't show up with the weapon at sundown on Sunday, the found only ruins of the house of the wizard. They went back to the castle to report it. The king was very angry and he grabbed his sword, killed the guards and then killed himself with his own sword. After him nobody wanted to make guns, remembering all the horrible things that happened last time. Not only were the wizard, the guards and the king dead, the whole city was infected with the smoke and almost everybody died a slow and painful dead. Later generations were talking about the Black Dead, as all the victims were covered in black boils. Nobody wanted to create that again. Now you know why nobody uses guns in Historica. Please read this first: Tower Phase l Here I am again, to bring you an update. We found an abandoned stone thing when we were looking for supplies (we didn't find anything but snow). It was a ruin of a tower used by orcs (based on what we found inside, it was a giant mess). We headed back to our own tower, took it down and used the wood to repair the tower. It is still very cold here, and we hardly have food to live from. We left a note in the remains of our wooden tower that says we moved, so if there are ever going to be supplies, they know where to send it to. We still here creepy noises at night, they are getting closer and closer every night. I think the orcs don't like what we did to their tower, but I don't care. Bring it on, filthy orcs! Or whatever else is ruining my sleep. That is the tower with me on top. Don't I look cool? I think I do. That is the tower from above. Snow everywhere, even if I keep cleaning it. The tower from one side. It was pretty damaged when we moved in. That is why there is that many wood everywhere. Tower from another side. O, and this is the first time my friend left the tower. And did he help repairing the tower? No. Of course not. He rather spend his time eating chicken and hugging the fire. The back of the tower. And he is back inside. His spear and shield didn't move since we arrived here. I hope we see some orcs soon. And the inside of the tower. Pretty comfy, right? And here we are again. Tell me, I look cool right? Right? Ok, see you next time!

As I only have MEA and LTC, I can't really decide. But I think I have to go with the biggest set, DGB. The figs are awesome in that set, especially Azog and Radagast, and ofcourse the orcs!

Well, it sounds good to me. As far as I know, Lego can handle the cold pretty good. I would install some sort of closet you can put everything in. And a table you can build stuff on. And some sort of heating! I also have the Tower of Orthanc, I just put it in the attic. That is my Lego room. I have some (a lot) wood shelves I put everything on and an old table from Marktplaats.nl (dutch ebay). You can buy good stuff there for little money (so you can spend more on Lego!). Thanks! And I know, I just wanted to make a large MOC, but small MOCs are better for me, so for now I will stick to them!

Thanks! He once was an Avalonian soldier, now he fights for the North! He still isn't used to the cold, so he prefers to stay close to the Avalonian border. That is why the wall is overgrown.

Nice build. But it doesn't have to be like that, it is just a guideline. I thought this too, but apperently you can make anything you want, as long as you can improve it.

I think I have found a nice way, just need to order the plates in the same color! I have build a prototype with all kinds of colors, and I am pretty happy with the result.

Yeah, I would make it with my own design, but I don't have a lot of small plates in brown, so that will be hard. But thanks anyway!

You're welcome, I am going to order parts there again after the Holidays. Nice 1x1 rounds and more 1x2 normal bricks. More details in larger MOCs.

Thanks! Yeah, I know. More details. The same old story. I know, I try to put more details in it, not that easy. I hope next MOC will have a round tower, just need to order parts. And more plants. Maybe then it will look better.

Yeah, I know it is one big grey wall. But these are the only pieces I have a lot of and could build this with. Smaller MOCs are more detailed. When I get a job and have more money, I will buy more of those small pieces, so also big MOCs will become more detailed.
