Its working for me and no new set

No offense taken, I think the point is it was not a rumor from a source just speculation that the set didn't look that big for £50, more hopeful than anything.

so for those who have missed it over in the TMNT topic they are getting 3 sets $70 and over, the full set costs are $13, $20, $35, $50, $70, $80, $100 There has been a lot of talk on here about there being another lego exclusives like arkham asylum and what that sets could be, there have been a number of good ideas that would make great larger sets. So my question is why does superheroes not get many large sets when TMNT get 3 in a wave. It seems odd to me as I would have thought superheroes were more AFOL friendly and from what Iv seen seem more popular although this is just based on what I see in my local Tesco.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
SMC replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
OK so getting back on topic, a quick guess at the number of figures 79118 Teenage Mutant NInja Turtles: Set 4 $13 - 2 79119 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 5 $20 - 3 79120 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 6 $35 - 4 79115 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 1 $50 - 5 79121 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 7 $70 - 6 79116 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 2 $80 - 7 79117 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 3 $100 - 8 so around 35 figures and except for the smaller set each set will need to have a least 1 but more likely 2 wanted exclusives figures does anyone have an idea on this or what so many big sets will be based on -
^ I don't mind that as long as they don't start with Lake town, we need something new

I didn't see anyone talk about this but fbtb has a picture of a big fig version of Venom in the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game. It looks really cool would love to see it as a real big fig but then again they do add a lot to the cost of a set

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
SMC replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
but why so many big sets, even something like LOTR does not get that many big sets in a wave, surly a more AFOL oriented theme would sell more big sets. And repeated key minifigures has to be a problem. The TMNT theme did not make for great sets but did have great figs so I just don't understand surly some bigger superhero sets would work better and smaller TMNT sets. -
I had to quote myself from a different topic, not easy

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
SMC replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
yeah seeing as I already have all 4 TMNT, I just don't get it 6 old sets and 7 new ones so 13 sets for TMNT and one for x men. The TMNT set were not great at all and cant think what the 3 new 70+ sets will be and how they will sell all these sets when we know figs have a big part to pay and there will be so many repeats. -

Wow they are big sets, I can't understand why tmnt get so many big sets next year a superheroes get so many small ones, any ideas -
I know we have not forgotten about Smaug just seems like we have all accepted that we wont see him in this wave. I was thinking new printing could work for bear-Beorn but I really like molded creachers so was hoping for Smaug and bear-Beorn

^ sounds like Im buying the same sets as you, something might have to give is it bad hoping that some of the sets are bad, the worse thing is when there are figs you want in bad sets. I am liking the sound of lots of those but need to see them first. 6018 - biggest set, do we have any idea of price, I need a hulk.

Azog is a big miss as we have seen a mold for him which makes me think maybe there is an exclusive set, I was really hopping for a Beorn in bear forum as we got the new lego city bear which looks good. Galadriel needs to turn up somewhere but could still be in a LOTR wave. And the big one we are all forgetting - Smaug. as for 2 Dol Guldur sets, I like it when sets go together even Barrel Escape and Lake Town Chase will do it for me as they follow on.
-
I was sure we would get sets for the new films but then maybe kids don't watch them and afol don't need films to buy sets, maybe the fact that they cant make them accurate to the film as another reason and that they can make better sets themselves, also the movie sets go out of date/interest faster.

By the looks of it we will be missing some key figures but there is another wave to come and there might be an exclusive maybe at the £40 point? the sets all sound like they could be good, I will be getting them what ever but how many is another question.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
SMC replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I like that most of the sets will be on the cheaper end, easier to find on sale and might pick a few up, I do wonder what the big set will be.- 2,626 replies

We have to see something soon my guess would be that all of a sudden we will get pictures of all the sets and there will be lots to talk about. In the UK the second wave of LOTR sets were very late coming out but surly they cant do the same thing with the hobbit as they will want them in time for the film and Christmas. I am hopping that we don't get many dwarfs and that the sets are filled up with people we have not seen or army types.
-
The problem with lego exclusives is they are very hard to get on sale so a £300 exclusives costs a lot more than a £300 wave.
-
I would like the red robin cycle wonder if we will see it in the UK And don't split up this topic I am sure most people are interested in both even if they like one better, can we not just add it into the LOTRs topic so I only have to look in one place.

I have to say I dont know if I want a set to be a good army building like Uruk-Hai Army because it would cost me too much I was lucky to get all my Uruk-Hai sets in a sale but it will be hard to find so many again. It would be nice to get a £12 army set not a £30 one but I am sure you would all love one whatever the price. We do need some more news, just one fig would do me for now.

I think this is true to a point, its the same for kids and afol there is only so much money to spend on sets. But I am now getting every set from LOTR and Hobbit and I would not have done this with Star Wars or Super Heroes (star wars because there are too many sets and I have missed out on so many, I don't buy any because I know if I did buy one it wound never stop even if Im not a big star wars fan the sets are very cool)(I don't get the bigger Super Heroes set because I don't think they are that good so I just get the smaller sets mainly for the figs). So in my case Lego is definitely getting me to spend more money on Lego than I wound had it not been for LOTR. Helm's deep is what got me back into Lego big time before that it was just a few sets.

As for the picture is that not just Arwen's hair on Elrond, a prototype at best, it has a yellow head after all. I think we will get a new print for Elrond.
