  1. Wh- wh- what?! Yeah, you're in.
  2. It's good to read through things a little on your own: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36091
  3. I'd love to have you, but this game is only for members who have mafia experience at Eurobricks. You are eligiable for mafia school, but unfortunately that has just finished sign ups.
  4. Singer pretty much explicitly said that in a big interview a few weeks back: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/02/22/x-men-days-of-future-past-director-bryan-singer-says-he-will-be-repairing-things-that-went-wrong-in-the-brett-ratner-directed-x-men-last-stand
  5. I think he'd be great. He's a really charming, likeable guy. Pym has had his up and down moments, but he was at his best when he wasn't tormented, and was likeable without being a playboy. It's hard to compare him to Stark. Stark is a mechanical genius, while Pym is more of a general science guy. On top of that, Edgar Wright has a great sense of humour, if you've seen any of his films. I think he could work well with Rudd (who's pretty good at improv) in making it a looser, less predictable action movie. Sounds great, actually. Marvel studios are really bold and interesting these days, after that Guardians announcement of Chris Pratt as Starlord. I like it. Warner Brothers must be bashing their heads against the wall every time Marvel announces it locks up an interesting actor that will be ineligible for the inevitable Justice League movie. Comparing the brainiacs of the Marvel universe is pretty hard. In some of the new issues of Hulk, Bruce Banner taunts Stark that Stark is only good at improving things, and has no idea how to think outside of the box, as Banner does. Of course, none of them are as innovative as Mr. Fantastic. In the world of genetics, Hank McCoy is the most knowledgeable. I'm sure someone on the Internet has created a chart of it somewhere explaining who knows what...
  6. Once a mason, that person would not be recruitable. The idea is that town has a way to build up some trust on its side, and as a balance in a game with more recruitment than usual.
  7. I got mine last week, and I love it. Shockingly, it's much cheaper in Japan. It was about $135 here, and not restricted to Lego stores. I wish it fit in better with the modulars, but it isn't a modular, so I understand that it doesn't. All in all, a great set, and a great way to get those Monster minifigs.
  8. They would only be mason blockers. I haven't determined an order to that yet, but I would probably give it to the scum. Kills are last in order, recruitments second-last. The masons are a big swing to town, which is why I'd give the chance of a recruitment to them. No coin flips though You should sign up.
  9. They still tend to do origin movies, since they suppose people will not understand them if they don't, but it's not a rule. Amazing Spider-Man and Batman Begins would have been much better without the origin. Hope isn't the word I'd use, but I agree Spectacular Spider-Man would be a better name for the second instalment. Start to treat Spider-Man the way James Bond movies are, and not insist everything is a trilogy.
  10. The Haunted Mansion, and a few Chima sets. Satisfied
  11. To be fair, I don't think the White Stripes would classify themselves as punk. Me, I'm stuck on My Bloody Valentine. I waited 20 years to hear their next album, and it was beautiful and unique. That's all I can ask for in a music group.
  12. It's peanut butter, but message received. I'll wash my hands.
  13. Well, an argument was made that if the town cop cleared townies, they would still be afraid to work with them because of recruiting. If there was a single recruitment, it's not much of a danger, but with multiple possible recruitments, that hurts the town's ability to make a safe group. What do others think?
  14. Yes. The masons will be a town group that is confirmed town to each other. If they were recruitable, they will no longer be so.
  15. Yes, after a very brief break, it is back: What is it? See this: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78833 I thought the last game was fairly balanced, and that the town were very close to turning it around. If they had had two more townies, the game would have lasted another day, and a lot of the scum would have been caught and things would have turned around. To a town win? Can't say. But, it was close. Still, I am not immune to player feedback, and have tweaked the mechanics. Originally, I was going to have this be 100% open about the roles, but I've decided against that, since it would hurt scums ability to lie. Rather, I will highlight the major changes to the last game, and you can decide if it seems balanced or not. If you have a suggestion to improve it before the game starts, I will take it into consideration, especially if other would-be players strongly support it. Roles will not be 100% the same, allowing flexibility. So, here is the game situation: -two scum teams, one who kill, one who recruit. They don't know each other, and can only unite through trust of each other (or Big Cam <But seriously, Big Cam, I expect you to play. You are my hosting mascot >) -town has to get the scum while not letting them unite, meaning hard claims in thread are difficult, but also that town should consider trying to infiltrate the scum. In the last game, scum did not unite until day five! That is plenty of time to do something. Here are the major changes: -I won't be able to delineate the kills at all and the SK will have to be a night kill, allowing all sides to megablocks better. It makes the night kills a little less fun (or presentation will have to be total decoration), but it will free up teams to scheme better. -the town will not have a cop. It will be replaced by a pair of masons, who can recruit only town to their masonry. One of the two may recruit each night, and if both die, town is out of luck, much as if the cop were to die. This is a big power to town, and to balance that, scum will have no godfather. Instead, both teams will have a recruitment blocker that will replace a frame, giving a certain amount of doubt to failed inductions. But town will have the flexibility to trust their own team among the masons. -that's a big power swing to the town, so the scum-recruitable players will be randomly distributed among the town, including power roles, preventing scum from simply targeting bored vanillas, but also giving them an ability to take out power roles. -I'm willing to fatten out the town to a total of 28 players, depending on sign ups. There will be between 26 and 28 players. Theme has been determined, but once again, I want you to sign up for the game, not the theme. Please sign up here if you would like to. Only people with mafia experience may apply. Please tell us: 1) Your mafia experience 2) If there is anything you would like changed about the rules before going in 3) Your opinion on pussyfooting
  16. I wouldn't even use that role now, just for the record. Too easy for them to work with town as a vig. The SK has to kill everyone or else! You were active, which was great. As I told you in PM, as much as I thought you were doing something scummy in not wanting to lynch Peanuts, I could say that you were being active and aggressive enough that you were likely town. The scum here are just so quiet that having a vanilla player be active is so important to town. And no town used a night action on you, nor were you targeted by thieves. I think you can be satisfied with that.
  17. My role: Then I asked this: To which I got this reply: I thought I needed to maintain possession, but then I just needed to have it once. This was part of the reason I was sure Pies was the same as me. When he first contacted me, he described my original win condition... Hmm. Not the best situation.
  18. You told me that, and I believed you... then in the Deadboard, Hinck said that you told him because you didn't trust me. It's a case of he said/she said, but you know what? I believe your story. Why wouldn't he have found me suspicious? I publicly said he was suspicious, and Hinck's shit doesn't stink, or whatever phrase Jonathan used I know the word blabbed has negative connotations, but Hinck is such a loose cannon, that I would have preferred you told pretty much any other person, who I would have been able to reason with
  19. Well, that's equally frustrating. One action per person per night. Maybe that's just me though, since I've seen other hosts do that before.
  20. Well Bob, thanks for hosting. It's lovely to have a win, but I need to give you some feedback. (It's important to give the same feedback whether you win or lose) -there was no incentive for me to play. I simply needed to have a successful night action once. So I told Rufus day one about my role to prevent things being boring. Since he blabbed to Hinck, yeah, it boosted my participation. Pies deciding to share his info was his own discretion. I can't think of a way to make this role work. -Coin flips suck. "I won!" "Was it through hard work and cunning strategy?" "No, coin flip." It removes most of the joy in mafia. -you meddled in the thread too much. Sure, thinking the set numbers corresponded to allegiances was a dumb idea, but the host shouldn't end that discussion... twice. And confirming Scumba's claim on the last day was bad. -Ferrik shouldn't have had two night actions his last night. There needs to be a cost to the scum of losing players, and the actions pile-on is a cheat. He should have chosen to either steal or kill. <edit> Forgot to mention, Sandy's tracker results shouldn't have said 'unsuccessful.' It was a cheat that let me play longer. I think that's it. Thanks for having me play. It was my first time in a Bob mafia, and quite an experience!

    Post your own art

That's pretty cool. Nice job! You've got a real diversity of styles. I put more time into coloring this month, and I liked the results.
  22. Cheers! Babs will leave you all on your lonesome now ;)
  23. I'm on my phone right now, and can't use the search function, but you might be able to find it quicker doing a Google search cross-referenced with EBs web address.
  24. Hey, rules are rules, I don't make them. Check it:
  25. You have now guarenteed yourself to be a girl in this and any future mafia games.
