I know the difference between America and the Americas Canada is the part of Americas that isn't red, white, and blue. Though to be fair, in different languages of the world, America does mean more than just the USA. I guess I figured you folks were relying on American English.

If this was a prank, it would have to be a particularly 'edgy' publication doing it. I don't know the Independent, but it comes across as right-leaning. Right-wingers in the West can be easy to enrage with Muslim topics, and a story like this would be like a moth to a flame. So, it could be a prank, but it would have to be a really poorly thought-out one, with a lot of repercussions. I wonder what will happen when the sail barge is released?

Frankly, I think the change is garbage. I know that EB has been becoming more American ( ) but there are still lots of members in Europe, plus a lot of important staff in Australia and myself in Asia. Worldbricks would have been the more sensible change, that was voted down from what I've heard. I will continue to support the site, since I've put a lot of hours in here over the past five years, but I expect the site to haemorrhage users over this change.

Best thing of the month: The Private Eye http://panelsyndicate.com Digital only, pay what you like, free if you're a total mooch (though the more people who don't pay, the less likely issue two will come out). Brian K. Vaughn writing (Y the Last Man, Lost < the good seasons 4 and 5>), and Marcos Martin drawing it. Martin is one of the best artists out there these days. His Spider-Man and Daredevil work was gorgeous and elegant, and at the same time physical and exciting. Just amazing. It's colored for computer screens, and not print, so there's no plan to print right now. Really, really good. That's an awesome 'two page' spread.

Yup, Wolverine looks terrible. It's just a trailer, but there is nothing interesting happening in it (Wolverine with a depression beard a la Dark Knight? Sucked the first time, doesn't work any better on Wolverine). A real shame. I'm sure it'll make a pile of money anyway. Iron Man looks to be the only interesting super-hero movie this summer.
