  1. Cute girls with brains it seems. I would not be surprised if there is showing up some guy competition soon. I love how you put the booth at an angle on the curved front base plate and added the fire and resting bench. Good luck in the contest.
  2. Loads of cool details and it looks like the minifigures have a lot of fun playing the games and riding the reindeer, except for the guy throwing rings . I bet he really wants the Chewbacca doll without spending this months salary. Good luck in the contest.
  3. Great looking stalls. So some competition to the 10235 set stalls hit the market. This should be good for prices, 1 gold instead of 100 LEGO's for a hotdog? The tree is a lovely modern interpretation. Good luck in the contest.
  4. Nothing much to add on all the details to what the others said. Good luck in the competition.
  5. This looks awesome, it reminds me of the tiroler ski lodges in Austria when I was there on skiing vacation. Love all the small details in there like the radiator, the coat racks, different bed sheets, reindeer head(?) made of Indiana Jones whips and the brightly coloured flowers. Edit: Looks like Yohaa and me appreciate the same things, should update before posting
  6. Love the triangular shape of the pavilion and the leaf details on the roof are a great detail that breaks the dark colours of the wood. Good luck in the contest.
  7. Looking at the kid/gnome the play is rated 12+ or something like that. The actress is really tough with her sleeveless dress . @Legogal If the barrel fire is not enough to keep the spectators warm you can always call over flamethrower girl from dr_spock his entry. Nice addition to the contest, good luck.
  8. Lovely build, so many details in such a small build. Good luck in the contest.
  9. When I grabbed it from the local toy shop where they had kept it back for me they told me that LEGO had informed them that the Lone Ranger range was cancelled. This was about 6 weeks ago.
  10. Great entry, it still has the Castle vibe to it which goes great with Christmas. I love the icicles on the stalls/stands, just a nice little detail. Good luck in the contest.
  11. Thanks for the quick response on this night (no mandatory trip to Spain? ). I will keep the picture Flickr only then and leave my entry as is. Edit: Thanks for not allowing the loose base plate. It did not feel right to take the easy road and just post my update on Flickr only, so I "built" a better photo booth and decided to replace the first photograph of my entry.
  12. Are we allowed to use a separate baseplate to place our off base (per reply #54) minfigures on? I want to add some spectators but they keep falling over due to a not so steady photo booth or whatever you call it you take pictures in against a neutral background. On a base plate they are steady. I will make it so that my entry is not placed on the base plate.
  13. Very original and great CMF display. Good luck in the contest.
  14. You moved him, sneaky . It was a bit of fun, I guessed it should have been a checkered flag or something.
  15. Looks great! Is the green driver getting a black flag, better hope it is for a mechanical failure not rude driving :) In the Netherlands we have go-karts/karts too both indoors and outdoors. Good luck in the contest.
  16. Oh noes, how is he going to resupply the croissant stall in time now? Good luck in the contest.
  17. I love how you used left over parts and polybags to build it. The design look nice. I am sure you are able to make this contest legal, so good luck in the contest!
  18. Thanks for the answer. It makes sense to have that. There is no space on mine so I bet there are quarreling parents out of my camera's view . Maybe to improve on the wait here, add a chain to make it more obvious? Dang I pitched an idea to the competition again .
  19. As promised I took a picture of the back and right side so the sleigh. Sadly the yellow 1x4 tile construction would not play nice and I did not want to destroy the vignette by pressing harder (it is not LEGO approved play quality) so there is a gap visible at the sleigh entrance. I threatened the LEGO with glue (empty threat, please do not tell) and now the tile fits nicely (the sleigh side was a bit torqued). So here is the update Kodak moment with Santa 7 by NoEinsteinNL, on Flickr
  20. The gold on the chair really makes it shine. I also get why the parents have to pay big bucks for the photograph, that chair has to be paid for . On a curious note, what is the purpose of the dark red tile on the stand? Is it a cash register/ticket printer so you can get your photograph later on? Good luck in the competition!
  21. It was a pleasure following this topic. Thanks a lot for all the updates and showing the great end results. Really appreciate it.
  22. Thanks Kermit. Amy Pond is almost as tough as those Friends girls in dr_spock's entry and one would think that the elves are used to Santa . Not sure what the Yeti thinks of Santa though.
  23. Thanks for sharing all the details majorna it is a real feat you got this working in such a small space. I really have to get me one of those clockwork motors to tweak with. I forgot to mention it in my prior post but the operator is pure brilliance. It gives it a real "proud owner" vibe, just like the people showing of their MOCs and stuff on brick conventions.
  24. Thanks everyone for all the compliments. Regarding the tree, I combined the toy shop, cottage sets and decorating the tree polybag's trees into 1. I loved the fullness and size of the toy shop tree, but did not like the 2 stud wide branches. The cottage version was a bit too step like with just the sideways plates but it would look great as top part of a tree. Then I build the polybag and thought hey if I loose the slopes, replace them with plates and add more layers that would be a great tree. And as they say, the rest is history . Maybe this type of tree has been build before, I did not try and google for ideas on purpose so not to copy something on purpose, just steal ideas from the LEGO group. It is somewhat sad that Santa cannot park the sleigh as good as he tends to tell on birthday parties. HIs helpers visited lightningtiger's stall for a chain saw so they could remove tree branches in order to free the right side of the sleigh . This coming weekend I will try and post an additonal picture of the back and left side of the sleigh. I realized that my current pictures do not show the side of the sleigh and it is a shame not to show it off somewhat (it contains all the SNOT stuff I picked up the past year).
