  1. I just made this when an idea came into my head about a flying troll, while I was trying to find a use for my new transparent technic pins. There is also a weapons barrel at the far back of the vig, but I couldn't get a good perspective to show everything.
  2. I live in Auckland, New Zealand, which means that 50% of the time it's anyone of the four seasons in no particular order, and the other 50% of the time it's raining. Also, my I've been working on my bedtown slowly since the beginning of the year and progress is too slow for me to consider seasonal variation in what I build.
  3. Only to a serious BIONICLE collector though. I got mine around a year ago for $20 I think, which is pretty good considering Chrome Hau masks seem to be worth $10-$20 on Bricklink. (My Power Pack was also the last Power Pack on Bricklink at the time ) Hafu became nothing special once a remake of him came out in 2003, meaning you could make the Power Pack version with the 2003 Version and a Huki Mctoran. I doubt the rest of the set has much value, because it's just a small amount of useless card, box and instruction sheet. The music of the CD can be downloaded from BZP (which technically might be illegal, not too sure) and I think the CDs themselves come very cheap on Bricklink. So, in the entire Power Pack, the Chrome Hau is the thing that gives it it's value. As for the Toa CDs, they're definitely still out there, because they came with almost all the Toa sets in the USA. Personally I don't think they're worth much, because they'd probably pop up second-hand on Ebay every so often along with the Toa it came with.
  4. Although I didn't in the past, when I started collecting BIONICLE sets I was encouraged to keep the boxes because they were neat plasic canisters that had more relevance to the set than most boxes. Now I keep all the boxes I get, SYSTEM and BIONICLE, and I've got a cupboard full of the boxes along from my almost complete 2007-2008 BIONICLE lineup.
  5. In the first page, Mata Nui comments on already fighting a beast. I presume that means we'll be seeing him fight this beast right after he creates himself in the movie.

    Polybags

Polybags also take up less space then boxes, so sets that are only posted in the mail often come in poly-bags to save space. As soc339 said, sets in boxes sell better, which is why promo sets usually come in polybags, because they aren't sold on shelves, so they don't need boxes to stand out.
  7. And New Zealand, we need a PAB wall here too. But lets not turn this into a "Why isn't there a PAB in my country?" thread. Eilif, what do the LEGO store employees think of you when you pack the PAB cups so well? I don't know if they'd appreciate your techniques...
  8. Thanks to this guy.
  9. I doubt it would be that high. Usually Toywiz has the prices way over the retail level. I hope it's not that high.
  10. Nuhrii the Metruan has a German magazine, in which he's got permission from Greg to host an official design-a-Kirbold contest. It's for German-speakers only though, although I'm sure I could come up with enough German to enter.
  11. Oh, I thought you meant new BIONICLE 4 pictures. I fail at acronyms sometimes. Spam post. On Topic: I think it's kind of strange how currently there are two contests going on for the official looks of two 2009 characters, when in previous years there were barely any such contests, and the ones that there were belonged to LEGO BrickMaster magazines. Greg must be feeling really nice. I hope someone can convince him to allow BZP to make a customisation/art contest for some unseen Kanohi such as the Hagah masks and Helryx's mask. Especially the Hagah, because they don't necessarily need to be what the mask always looks like anyway.
  12. Link would be nice.
  13. 1,895,457,378,699,013 104 √π ∞ 2 I hate quadratics. I think it's 1.75 or 1.
  14. Never mind, I thought it was mentioned in this topic some time ago, but I can't find it. It's hard to keep track of anything that happens here with all the extra off-topic.
  15. This thread will ASPLODE in 5 hours!?! That's CRAZY-talk! Good luck to all the entrants!
  16. Did you actually find that, or did someone else find it and you emailed BZP? Seeing as that reader is really old news here.
  17. It's Ceril or something. On the description and until he was named I was afraid he was Certavus. The chapter was good, but I find it a bit of a pity that Elemental control is back, and possibly making it as if the GB had just copied Toa's Elemental Control of these guys.
  18. I'm pretty sure it does, it just goes through the building, which is meant to be a Guard Tower of sorts. I hope that it's still OK...
  19. I voted No and City. Although I prefer the Modular buildings a lot more because they can be viewed at from any way and are easily adjusted, the price and availability of them make it unlikely for me to get them. However, the city sets that I do get are typically for the accessories, minifigs and cars, and I use the building as based models for MOC Modular buildings in my Bed-Town. For example, when it comes out I'll be getting the new City Life set, I'll keep the bus and bus-stop, but I'll modify the Pizzeria and Bike Store into Modular buildings.
  20. Like I said earlier, yes I've got one. It's free, so of course it's worth it! It also comes with the tan Indiana hat, which is only otherwise avaliable in the expensive farm set. Currently, my tractor and farmer are being used for my gardener in my LEGO town.
  21. I think the synopsis of the Legend Reborn movie was pretty much that Mata Nui helps the locals in their fight against the Skrall after surprisingly coming out victorious from a Skrall fight. I think Metus probably just takes him back to the Agori/Glatorian camp out at the end of the reader, that's all. Thinking about Mata Nui beating a Skrall, I hope the movie reason for him doing so is that he uses Ignika powers, because aside from those, he's got nothing going for him that Glatorian don't have better. He's got no experience in fighting or with Skrall, nor does he have a stronger incentive to defeating the Skrall than a Glatorian of Bara Magna does.
  22. They're not, and thanks to Vert they're not in the correct orientation either. I think the correct flow of story is that Mata Nui finds himself in the desert, then encounters Metus in the Thornatus, then they ride towards a village, only to encounter the sand-bat, which Mata Nui manages to defeat with sunlight from his "sword".
  23. Hate to break this to you guys, but in New Zealand the prices seem to have gone down heaps. Town Plan is now NZD $200 from $270, and Cafe Corner is only $150!
  24. Curse yee Vert, I had to turn my screen upside down to read those! Anyway, the artwork look great, and the quote about the Thornatus looking like a vehicle made of thrown together vehicle parts seems to suggest that Greg doesn't like the Thornatus that much. Somebody should ask him 'bout that!
  25. Yup, they're TW only. And considering last year we got Anakin's Fighter for $40, and the same thing plus a small droid ship is $100, yes, it's a rip-off. IMO $60 would've been the best price, $70 being just plausible, $50 being preferred.
