  1. If you've built it, do you mind reviewing it, photoing it or describing it? I for one don't think it's that bad.
  2. Vultraz would've made a good canister-price set, not the titan price it was.
  3. It may or may not be new to us, I'm not sure. Thanks for posting it though! Kanohi Journal has a website? They want us to draw Surel? Why can't they have a contest for a useful character, like Lariska or a non-Karda Nui Makuta? Is Greg allowing anyone who asks to make a canon character contest? Where's the EB BIONICLE Contest? What character would be best for the EB BIONICLE Contest?
  4. The Hydruka are an awesome complement to the Mahritoran, I just can't believe that they didn't get any storyline coverage, especially considering the amount Dekar got. IMO: The four Mahritoran looked great, had cool colours, had awesome recoloured masks, great weapons and non-essential but still good launchers. Mctoran were awesome, came in colours like Purple, Yellow and Teal, quite poseable, and they justified going to Mcdonalds. Hydruka were awesome mini-visorak-rahkshi-rahi things. Av-Matoran fail at piece-counts and build-ability, but they are posable, look-good and come with cool masks (and weapons this year). And as Bunda said, the Agori colours make them even better. The sad thing about them is that they seem to be an excuse in larger sets to lower the costs whilst still having a biped character, as exhibited in Vultraz and Fero & Skirmix. The Va were an awesome combination between Turaga and Bohrok, with recoloured Mctoran feet to top it off. The Turaga are awesome as well, because they all had their own masks and weapons, as well as a neat action feature. And then there is also the nostalgia of them. The Kolitoran I didn't like so much, because they were mostly re-hashes of Mctoran in bigger awkward looking forms that seemed like a weird mix between Rahkshi and the SPORTS hockey players. The piece colours were good though, especially compared to the rest of 2003. Voyatoran were kinda neat, but their main value was for the abundant supply of Hordika heads. The Rahaga were like mini-Rahkshi, even down to the same weapon. The Metrutoran looked good from the front, but their posability, back and oversized launchers were annoying.
  5. I think it's probably the fact that this set has civilians with screaming faces of terror. Somehow I don't think that kind of civilian was appropriate for the carousel.
  6. I thought that was a Fez?
  7. The best thing 'bout Kazi was that a Trans-light-blue Barraki eye gave him his eye, whereas all the other Voyatoran needed two pieces to have attached eyes.
  8. Thanks for the review of this amazing set! The fact that this set includes so many great minifigs, humour and even a light-brick arm makes this set a must-by for me. The civilians will be a great addition to my town, normal or scared. My only complaint with the set is that there could've been a small civilian car for the Inferno-Mech to toss around and the civilians seem like a bit of an afterthought to the design being only three minifigs, but the fact that this is an Agents set not a Town set makes that forgivable. I'm looking forward to you're reviews of the next sets, which you are doing right?
  9. My personal recommendation would be to wait till the small sets become Voyatoran-like again. That's what made the original Hordika head joints abundant. Unfortunately the set designers seem positive that 7 piece sets is a good thing though.
  10. Does the Robo Attack have a batteries included sign on it? If so what's it for?
  11. That's debatable, because IMO most of the Barraki were amazing, and they were the most creative wave so far. Apart from Pridak, who was too creative...
  12. Often the bigger Bricklink sellers are very very good with their postage, and get the parcels posted ASAP once your payment is cleared. Check the store's shipping policy to see how soon they post the orders. However, seeing as you're trying to get cheaper postage, don't worry about the time it'll take. I always use the cheapest postage options, and it rarely takes more than a week for me to get my order, regardless of where it came from. Anyway, despite this being where the NZers hang out, there is a perfectly legitimate Bricklink questions topic in this forum that might be more helpful for your questions on Bricklink to NZ.
  13. Oh, well that swats Vastus off the fail list then. Why isn't Vastus on BS01 if that's been confirmed by Greg though?
  14. Also, Gresh being Tajun's primary Glatorian without even a mention of Vastus doesn't suggest that Vastus is that great. Although, this may change in summer when we actually start learning more about the "Legends".
  15. I know, but it doesn't make sense that the less skilled ones should get the cooler more-skill-implying theme name. I don't think it was ever going to be that, it was just people trying to make sense of LEGENDS written in very low-res-writing.
  16. As with Trademe, always check the seller's feedback ratings to see whether you can trust them or not. Also, if you're planning to purchase a large amount of bricks from them, it might pay to do a smaller "sample order" first to test their brick/shipping qualities. Often with Star Wars sets, the only set is only expensive with the minifigs, so unless there are exclusive non-minifig parts, you are probably going to get a good deal on the parts for the set itself. Of course, TradeMe always is cheaper, if you're patient enough for the right auction to come along.
  17. The thing that's kind of weird with the Glatorian Legends is that Strakk is sent to train Kiina, Gelu is an ex-Glatorian who was never Iconix's best, and Vastus is surpassed for primary tribe Glatorian by an Amateur Gresh! Why are they called Legends if half of them are "noobs"?
  18. Ooh, very nice prizes, I have to enter now! (I've already made my entry anyway though, I just need photos) The strange thing is that the 2nd prize appeals to me more because it's a set I can't get in NZ and don't have yet.
  19. Bricklink is safe, but Star Wars is expensive, very much so on Bricklink. It would be much cheaper to wait on TradeMe for someone to sell the set your looking for without knowing the ridiculous prices it could attain elsewhere.
  20. Do you know where I could get the sound effect (aside from straight from that video)?
  21. Thanks for yet another wonderful review svelte_corps! How many more new sets do you have to do? I love this set quite a lot, especially for the neat parts including the Conquistador and the Crystal Skull. After the Ambush in Cairo set, this is probably the next Indiana set that I'll get.
  22. I know you said America only, but I'd like to point out that BrickMaster should serve all countries. I would love to get exclusive sets sent to me in the mail-box, and I wouldn't mind the magazines for collective purposes either. If it were possible, I'd gladly fork out the money for that service, and I'd be fine with forfeiting those LEGOland tickets, which seem to be the main America-only thing. However, because I can't buy BrickMaster, I end up going to places like Bricklink or Ebay to get the BrickMaster sets instead, which is more hassle for me, and LEGO misses out on selling them directly to me. So anyway, I voted No and Meh, because I can't actually get it.
  23. At the end of The Rising animation, when Makuta's eyes go red, has that sound effect appeared before in BIONICLE media? If so, does anyone know where? Thanks.
  24. The Brickmaster set might suggest that ( ), but the movie version looks like a real Scarabax.
  25. Kiina now looks win, Stronius now looks fail. Which is good, because I know that Stronius can be win in other poses, so they're all fin now! However, Kiina's custom body is clashing with that awesome thinner helmet.
