If they restock over here too, that's great news. I of all people didn't jump on the series bandwagon and only got Marsha before I heard later that they've sold out almost everywhere. I like all of the minifigures in this series to some degree (even the makeup bots, Just2good!) and hope to find them somewhere. I'll be on the lookout.

I was wondering if any of you noticed any recent changes to classic LEGO parts. I noticed that the 2x2 round tiles in Lord Business's Evil Lair use tubes like other bricks instead of the crosses, so this is likely a new version that may coexist or replace the "cross" 2x2 round tiles. What other part updates have been going on recently?

I feel bad for that guy who submitted it on CUUSOO, since they beat him to the idea for DC Duplo.

The Wyldstyle one is hilarious! Mixing continuities would get really awkward for Batman there!

Odd, since it's a vehicle. Perhaps the description is preliminary. Where did you find that? By the way, I love the homages to the original Agents, with Infearno sort of referencing Dr. Inferno , and Toxikita's Toxic Meltdown being a reference to 4-Wheeling Pursuit (both include a toxic/sludge-based villain with an orange helicopter).

I just got the Getaway Glider, Cloud Cuckoo Palace, and Bad Cop's Pursuit today, All three are great sets, but my favorite has to be the Palace. I can't wait for Benny's SSS. I wonder why they gave Johnny Thunder eye shines instead of leaving them solid like Benny and Emmet's eyes.- 2,626 replies

Wow, those are very different from what I expected. I can see Tremor's head used in a lot of customs with that red visor. Psyclone is just weird and doesn't have the awesome elemental look that Acid and Infearno have. Maybe the villains are affiliated with each other (Psyclone, Terabyte and maybe Acid and Toxikita) but not a unified group? I've noticed that LEGO almost never uses a new mold in one set unless it's too overspecialized (for instance, they supposedly reuse the LB helmet in this theme), so I wonder where Tremor's armor will resurface. Perhaps once the CMFs get back on track it will be used on a future minifig? And I look forward to future uses of Infearno's flame. EDIT: I saw better pics of Terabyte in that slideshow (Thanks, Pigbrick) and his pixel-themed look makes him interesting. Maybe I'm right about the virus thing? And the helmet he's shown with is really cool as well, but where's the one on the box?

I'm back, and really excited about these. Adam Acid looks awesome (and his damaged face includes a nasal cavity when most minifigs have no external noses), and Infearno looks amazing. Toxikita I don't get, and I need a better look at Psyclone and Tremor to form an opinion. I wonder why "Terabyte" has Lord Business's helmet mold on the box but not in the set image. And what disaster would he represent? A computer virus? The vehicles look great, but the HQ is lacking compared to the original Agents and ADU Mobile HQs. I wonder what the villain backstories will be. It seems like they've been mutated by the element/disaster they represent. And is it just me, or does the disaster theme of the villains ooze (pun intended) of controversy?

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Oh, so the alternate builds are actually sane? Good for City fans, then. And that Ice Cream Truck is on my list! I think what Oky's trying to say is that the sets are demonstrating alternate builds to show the themes of miagination and creativity (and I think childhood as well). Transforming vehicles would probably lead to weaker structures and people saying that LEGO is taking ideas from other companies or being too cliche. It's more like CREATOR, just wackier!- 2,626 replies

I like that silver chicken on the weather vane on the glider. And a new mustache piece. And we get lots of new pieces in this theme! These sets are so wonderfully bizarre! The garbage truck vehicle is great, too.- 2,626 replies

Is the Ent in Orthanc Supposed to be Treebeard?

The Ent seems too dopey to be Treebeard, but otherwise, he looks a lot alike. -

I think Good/Bad Cop will definitely have a double-sided face. I wonder if his name is "Scribbleface" and he's being classified as Bad Cop since that's the expression he's on?- 2,626 replies

The characters in Series 12, apart from the 3 integral to the plot, and in variations that probably won't be in the sets, are background/minor characters that LEGO liked enough to make in physical form. To those complaining about lack of the characters you wanted or unoriginality, to each their own. I like fantasy/sci-fi/mythological characters, too, but S12 has some interesting characters and creative new parts, and some better redos of old characters.. Series 10 was the dud series for me because the parts weren't that great and only one fantastical character in it, but this one offers lots of new parts and characters that won't appear elsewhere. But I'm sure we'll all complain about (appropriately numbered) Series 13...
