  1. It's interesting to hear that opinion, since my impression from the Toy Fair demonstration had been that the play features worked very well. What else went wrong besides the cannon and, presumably, the Super Jumper? I do have to respectfully disagree with the argument that there are few play features. I think it's packed! Joker's ride/Toxic Tank: Jokerland clown's eyes and hat move Tongue of clown launches figure down slide Hall of mirrors opens/closes, mirror can match up to a minifig Penguin's Deadly Duckies: Ducky ride moves Sign platform can be toppled Harley's Wheels of Fire: Harley's bike rides down track Captive can be knocked off of bike Ivy's Carnivore Fall Free fall drops when plant is tipped back Other: Cannon fires (however weakly) Stud-shooters and spring-missiles on Batmobile. I think it seems like an excellent playset, but I can see some problems and I don't expect my impressions of it to be "perfection". My only criticisms would be: * It seems a bit small or empty. Supplementing it with the stalls from the Fairground Mixer and the Funhouse set should improve the park as a whole, but it does seem to suffer in terms of display value. * More new minifig designs would have been greatly appreciated, as well as improving the new ones we have (lighter colors for Beast Boy would have worked better, and Harley looks bad with a hat).
  2. I don't think he'll get them by then unless you buy online. The US will be getting them officially in August, I believe. Sorry about that.
  3. I'm also a proud collector. I have every single DC Super Heroes set based on the comics with the exception of the 2012 Batwing set. I have no need for the figures, but I wanted the Batwing. I missed out on the old '06-'07 Batman theme, so I've been trying hard to make up for it. I hope I can still find a Batzarro DVD. I've put it off for too long, and I need him for my minifig collection.
  4. I think their prime business tactic is to just sell the sets to allow people to get their parts there. MOCers are not LEGO's main target group.
  5. I just wanted to ask the owners: Is there anything going on in the Jokerland "Hall of Mirrors" besides the opening/closing doors? Or is that it? If it's empty, I might put the clown cannon in the doorway.
  6. It's probably late July for retailers, August officially. We in the US have to have two summer waves.
  7. So is Benny using a Mega Character cheat, or is Jay using a Mini Characters one?
  8. Too much red. Those dual-molded legs would be better for shorts and bathing suits, since the boots are too high.
  9. After seeing the end of the app, I really want a Morgan Lux polybag! The app gives a vague conclusion that still implies the end of the theme, so there aren't any chances to get Lux.
  10. The new one's okay, but I'm definitely going to mod it to be more "black...and very, very dark grey". I don't think the detached boats look that good either, since they use the rubber raft piece. I want the set more for Deathstroke and Dick as Robin than I do for the boat.
  11. They're the Flying Monkeys from the Wizard of Oz. They are the Wicked Witch's minions. This is the leader:
  12. But in the US, we haven't gotten Friends, DC Super Heroes yet. But we have the new Agents sets. I hope they're available over there, since I can't see why they'd be unpopular, and it's unfair for these great sets to not be sold in the UK.
  13. Teaser with my favorite character in it!
  14. I feel sorry for you! Australian prices are insane. I wonder what the City of Stiix will cost in the US. That, Morro Dragon, and Wu Dragon are the sets I want the most.
  15. I think it's odder that the others come with legs! Only Wrayth has a reason for legs, since he needs them to fit in the Airjitzu flyer. But Bansha and Soul Archer don't really need legs in the sets they have them in. Perhaps it takes more effort for the ghosts to manifest legs, and only do so when they want to? Also, I've been a bit bothered that Bansha is so attractive looking. The other ghosts are quite ghoulish, but if Bansha's face design was transposed onto a yellow head and given pupils, she'd look normal. Even though she is the ghosts' token female, LEGO's perfectly capable of making ugly female villains, so I don't get why Ghoultar is a skeletal ectoplasm, and Bansha gets away with a comparatively normal design.
  16. And, of course, the only part of the show's Morro Dragon that looks like a LEGO piece is the claws! I really wish these shows at least tried to look more LEGO-like. The only parts identifiable as such are the minifigure characters! It does look cool, though. And I really want the set version!
  17. Oh, please stop tormenting me! I have to wait a while! On the other hand, it's nice to hear the positive opinions before these sets are released in the US. Makes me more excited!
  18. That's odd, the way they try to pass them off as separate characters. Perhaps they just want the army to look larger? That vampiric red-eyebrow head is used on almost every soldier, and am I wrong, or are Ghoultar, Morro, and Bansha are the only ghosts with unique heads?
  19. Anyhow, that criticism isn't entirely relevant. The heroes need some builds, too, so they get psychedelic vehicles like the Mystery Machine. Did this happen in the show(s)? Not really. But it's more fun for kids to let the heroes have vehicles as well.
  20. It's not available in English yet, and the sets are currently out in Europe. Jang gets them online for early reviews.
  21. Yes. We had seen that hair on the Trickster minifigure a while ago.
  22. This is amazing. The jack-in-the-box, the monster under the bed, the "LEGO" bricks, the shelves, the chemistry set...this MOC is full of creative parts uses and really does an excellent job!
  23. Wow! I can't wait! I think once it's available and I get it, I'll use the Funhouse as a separate section of Jokerland, so the Riddler can get in on the fun, and perhaps Damian will be the one captive on the winch. Joker and Harley can just go back and forth as Batman explores.
  24. I look forward to the other reviews. I think I've been sold on Chilbo after reading the Frosticons review.
