LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Nope. It was most likely put on the wrong fig and belongs to someone else in the series. -
Found Airjitzu Cole and Jay at Target today. Now to find out if I can buy them...

These are all great customs (Titanium Zane is perfect for Colossus, and I love Knight and Squire), but I don't remember those guys ever being referred to as the Fantastic 4...

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion

It seems that the Specter will use that awful wailing head in the first image (seen on the skeleton) which makes me think it's not female. That head has no eyelashes, (which all female minifigures have) so I don't think we'll see that hair in this series. So that means that the Bigfoot or Gargoyle might be the last female, unless this series brings the number down to 4. As for the Gargoyle's wings, the Chima bat wings seem to be the best piece. I expect it'll use the SH neck harness in light grey, and two light grey 1x1 plates with upward clips will be provided to attach the wings. -

I know, I was just theorizing. But it's a bit odd for her to have so much emphasis on spiders, to the point where she has a spider instead of a bat. Perhaps if she were just a scary woman who wasn't a vampire, it would make more sense. A spider motif is easier than a bat one, so I guess that's why they chose it, and I love the way she turned out, but it seems a bit strange for a bat-themed monster to be so heavily into spiders. -
They do count, since they fit on minifig heads. (I assume you're talking about the minifigures from the recent waves. They use regular heads.) Only the eyes can really be seen through the helmets, though, since the eye and mouth holes are so small.

It could be both a scared trick-or-treater or a victim mid-digestion. I think I figured out who the Spider Lady is: she's a vampire, but she was bitten by a spider (no, she doesn't have spider-sense). That's why she looks like a vampire, but has a spider theme. She probably turns into a spider and eats insects instead of human blood. -

Arsenal makes a lot of sense. And he goes with the GA exclusive from the show, too, which will make him more desirable. I couldn't see him in any sets, either. -

Then it wouldn't be a minifigure. One thing's for sure, it's someone who requires no new molds, or if they do, it means we'll get them in mainstream release later. There are a lot of choices, but hopefully they'll stick to variants or obscure characters that aren't too collection-damaging. -

I do agree that in terms of content it's sort of a mess, but there's no good term to describe it all. Some are costumes, some aren't Halloween-themed, and some are monsters. However, I like the variety since it offers several different concepts, like trick-or-treating and a spider lady who may or may not actually be a vampire. It is a shame that there aren't any decent army builders, although the Gargoyle would be very useful in numbers. -

It's possible, but I don't think it would make for a very nice-looking figure. Besides, we're already getting a scientist character, so I think it'll be a fully anthropomorphic fly without clothes. I cannot wait to see more pictures, but I think late July would be the earliest we'll see the group pic. I'm happy to see some more positivity toward these figures now. I think the few finished ones we've seen have proved to be unique and useful. I know a lot of concepts are repeated, but some still look great, and once we see all of them with all of their parts, I'm sure they'll look much better, like the Spider Lady. She looks fantastic with that cape, while she was less interesting to me before, and the Skeleton Guy's bucket is both a creative reuse and quite charming. I'm also glad to see the borders of Halloween pushed a bit with characters like the Gargoyle and Bigfoot. I have to hand it to LEGO for creating a Halloween series where the witch is not my favorite minifigure! -

My guess is a plastic "cape" like the wings used for Twitch and the Geonosians. The Fairy's wings are too butterfly-like and cute for the Fly. -

I hope so. Most classic gargoyles have separate wings and arms. I wonder if he'll get a new wing piece, since a dual-stud neck harness with clip plates and wings attached, would be too much of a sub-assembly for a CMF. -

Well, it won't last for long. Soon, they'll be focusing on Convergence costumes! -
Only three figures were shown in that teaser, not all of them, so I'd expect a few days to a week and a half at most before the Airjitzu temple is revealed. Being a D2C, it's not going to be found by J2G or anyone until LEGO makes its announcement,

That might be unlikely. The softer capes are so far reserved for the Super Heroes theme, and usually when there's a vehicle to be sat in. The Evil Wizard, and superhero Bart/Milhouse figs didn't have softer capes. But if the Spider Lady's cape is indeed translucent, then I'm sure her cape will be made from a thinner, more flexible fabric. EDIT: Looking again, I think the rain streaks are in front of her cape, not behind. One rain streak in the top right can be seen going behind her cape, and it can't be seen through the collar below the point where it passes behind. Methinks the graphic designers just put them in front of the cape to avoid distracting from the fig, no matter how impossible it is. This wait until October is not only unpractical (since we have only October to get them all before Halloween), but it's cruel! I absolutely adore most of these figures (especially that Spider Lady), and I'm sure when we see more official pics soon, I'll have an even harder time waiting. At least there are summer sets to look for until then. -

It doesn't look like it to me. Yes, that would look more like a spider web, but it looks like dark grey cloth with black printing, which I still like. If it were transparent, it would need to be plastic, which would be too difficult to fold (and too thick) for this type of cape. That is starting to bug me now. It would make more sense for it to have the leg bones printed on the front. All skeleton suits do. EDIT: I just noticed that this series is slated for an October release. Does that mean it'll have a much shorter run, or will it be awkwardly available through December? -

I don't think there's anything new about it. It looks like the same one-piece cape we've gotten before in the MF and CMF themes, with the color and printing being different. -

I think her face should have larger fangs or even mandibles if she is supposed to be a spidery humanoid. She looks to be a vampire with a spider motif (She even uses the vampire cape), though I could see her being called "Spider Lady". I'll still put her with my vampires on my monster minifig baseplate. Shame about the bag color. I was hoping from the pumpkin-shaped Toy Fair teaser that the color would be dark blue. -

Oh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Lady Vampire's cape! So cool, the way it's printed! Crazy Witch's skirt looks like a reuse of Ewok Village Leia's, and I'm glad she has a broom. That treat bucket is a marvelous reuse of the clay pot piece! I would have never predicted that. I'm very excited to see the rest, although now I'm worried that the stupid-looking screaming face is the Specter's... -
Thank you!

Here's a rather simple purist Batman suit "updated" with the Super Heroes head and cowl. Ignore Batzarro.

I was lucky enough to pick up a League v. League movie with Batzarro. Unfortunately, his Chinese manufacturing results in a loose headgear clutch and slightly loose limbs, but I suppose that's appropriate. I really like his torn-up cape. EDIT: Here's a little side-by-side. Bats is a hybrid using a Batman theme torso and the SH cowl, head and cape. I made him purely to "match" Batzarro. I think they look really nice together, since their suits are almost the same. I rather like the look of this Batman alone, and I wonder why they didn't remake him for the SH theme. -
I agree. Kai's scar is so ugly and off-putting for a heroic character, so a more show-accurate face without the scar would be great,

It also seems like a way to make new molds for the Ideas sets, which didn't allow them.
