LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If it is female, it won't look so Elizabethan/Georgian, since it's probably going to be using that translucent poofy hair. I do hope it doesn't use the face seen in the first image on the Skeleton. But if it's not hers, it's the Reaper's, which is worse. -
Batwoman looks good! If I had a spare Batgirl and Nightwing, I'd make her!
-
Osborn looks great! Which head is that? I forget.

It's a new system this year. The Superman set announcement had the winning details. -

It's done by raffle this time, to make it more fair. -
They got away with it because the flesh tone is only implied. Since Spidey's wearing his mask it worked, but it's still very odd. I am okay with mixing them, but not professionally. When I'm setting up a street scene with my modulars, all of the figs are yellow or if not, they're aliens or monsters without a flesh tone.

Even though I don't watch Arrow, I do like that figure. I think it's unlikely that we'll get any form of Roy in mainstream release, though. -

No, the New 52 suit is almost identical to the Pre-52 suit, but the red "underwear" is replaced by a red belt. This is the N52 suit in LEGO Batman 3. -

Nope. It's odd because the Scuba Batman head, while a bit pale, looks so much better. LEGO really overdid the flesh-colored printing for the New 52 Bats. -

That's a wonderful little set, especially since it's nothing essential to my collection! I wonder how that fallen tire is kept on... -
Nebula's head might be a better piece for Mystique, although there isn't really a good head for her.

Airjitzu is one of the most fun toys I've ever tried. I've tried out most of my favorite minifigs in the flyer, just for fun (although Medusa required a pair of legs to fit in it), and I've experimented with aiming it. The flyer is quite capable of going to the top of my stairs, and if it is launched parallel to the ground, it flies quite quickly to the opposite walls.. I would be trying out some tricks outside but it is very dark and gloomy as well as extremely humid. My Clockwork Robot minifigure was quite warm after taking him out of the flyer yesterday when I came back inside. For now, I'll just be launching the flyer in the larger rooms of my house. I know I'm enjoying the thing way too much, so I can only imagine how long a child could be occupied by it...

Looks good! He would look a lot better with Professor Frink's outfit instead of a female one, though.
-
I think I'll leave it out, then. I understand why it's there, but I don't like it.

That bio makes me wonder...since it appears that you can "feed" Vaka, I wonder if there's a function to "empty" Waka, a la the Creator parrot...

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion

Oh, no. Why October? That's way too much time for Simpsons S2 and not enough time before Halloween for S14! -
Well, it's just a guy dressed as a swamp monster, but it doesn't make sense as to why he'd be at a lighthouse...

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I just feel sorry for France, who presumably have only October 1st-30 to get them all before Halloween. I remember reading in the Minifigures Encyclopedia that LEGO plans their seasonal releases to give people time before the corresponding holiday, like the S6 Leprechaun being released in time for people to get him for St. Patrick's Day. -
The only nine-number codes I have are 204001492 and 752-288-241. I think the DCPI is the second one.
-
I don't think they will. It was an insensitive thing to put on the website, but the term itself is rather obscure today. It has been fixed on the website, and unless the entire character is meant to be disabled, then there won't be any further consequences. It was a big PR mistake for LEGO, but it's been removed by now.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion

It's definitely Series 14. There's absolutely no other series this year. I guess this confirms the September release-at least for some countries- so I'm glad about that. I really like the leaf texturing on the plant monster! -
I got Boogly and Turg today. I love Turg's pure weirdness, and his tongue is a lot of fun to bend around in different ways. Aesthetically, he's one of my favorites. Boogly would be perfect if not for the weak design of the front legs.
-
I'm not entirely sure which of the numbers is the DCPI, as none of them are labeled as such. I rather enjoy the flyer. It works very well, and I like that the ripcord allows you to adjust the intended height. It works well as a spinner, too. Cole's legs are a bit loose, but I didn't really get the set for him, so it doesn't bother me much.

I am happily returning home with two Mixels and Airjitzu Cole!

Have to tell you later. I'll go back to Target after I visit the LEGO store. I would prefer to have Kai, Morro, or Wrayth, but Cole is good, too.
