I was just poking through a bunch of my Star Wars sets and I realized that I don't have Lobot with a 'flesh coloured' head. Anyone know if he's been re-released, or was he only available in the Twin-Pod Cloud Car set? Thanks in advance!

I would like the newer train sets more if the 'Train' line SUPPORTED the new sets by having additional rail cars for sale. With the older train sets, I really enjoyed being able to pick up several passenger cars, or freight cars, without having to purchase a whole train set again.

Cheap? LEGO? To quote Cheap Trick..."You must be dreamin'..."
-
Even so, they're getting stingy lately. The crappy themes are getting discounted all the time (as well as Bionicle) but, the better themes are being 'cherry-picked'. Instead of ALL 'City' being on sale, you'll get '25% off City FIRE sets'. What kind of crap is THAT?
-
Yeah, the Star Wars sets almost NEVER go on sale. I check the TRU flyer religiously and when any SW stuff DOES go on sale, it's always a pricey set that I can't afford right then anyway, like 'Home One', or some such thing. $20 off the price of that doesn't really do much for me...especially since I just want it for the figs. LOL My thoughts exactly.

There is one. Came in set 10173 (Holiday Train). You got your wish...now available from S@H. :) Absolutely! I have to say, too...after seeing the LEGO offerings for the cow and pig figures...I really prefer the Brickforge style. More of a 'classic LEGO' feel to them. Besides...having 3-D heads on the cows and pigs and having the 'flat side' heads on horses is just a tad...umm...dumb.

S@H now has most of the new Star Wars sets listed. Canadian Prices: Wampa set is about $55 and Slave 1 is $110. Don't remember the others. LOL And don't forget...free shipping on orders over $75 is still valid until Sat. Though, from the change in banner, the spaceman magnet is now sold out.

I have to say, when I saw the 'night' pic of your MOC on the Eurobricks homepage, I thought it was the apartment building from 'The Crow'. LOL It totally gave off that kind of vibe. Cool MOC though. Nice job and I love the lighting. Looks great.

They were changed to more accurately represent actors, sports figures, etc. when they were portrayed in LEGO format. After all, if you go with a darker skin tone for Lando, or Vince Carter, you have to go more 'peachy' for Luke, Han and Batman, right? -
Very freakin' cool. Nice job.

One thing that was sooooo awesome about 6080 (and other castles from that era): the number of minifigs! 6080 has FOUR mounted knights and another EIGHT men-at-arms!

How do you store your instructions?
Ogre replied to KartoffelViking's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have instructions in so many different sizes, I find it hard to imagine 'a few select sizes'. There DOES seem to be a certain size restriction with regard to set size but, that also seems to have changed over the years. As for childhood instructions...I HAD all of mine, kept safe and sound in an old briefcase of my dad's...and then one day, they had mysteriously vanished and nobody in my house would own-up to what happened to them. I'm STILL irate about that and that happened almost twenty years ago! -
I think I got five of each of those! The joys of picking them up before knowing about the bar code trick.
-
This will go nicely with not only the Winter Toy Shop but, also with last year's Advent Calendar, which weighed-in heavily with 'winter themed activities'.

I got luckier than I can even imagine with this puppy. When LEGO S@H had their May 3-4 Star Wars sale, I jumped on the site as soon as the sale started. Somebody screwed-up HUGE, because all of the prices for 'sale' items were how much the markdown was, NOT what the finally price should be...so...instead of getting my Falcon for $170 OFF, I got it for $170 CDN! I should have bought TWO. LOL!

:::swoon::: When they raffled-off the bronze Boba via S@H, I wondered why there wasn't a gold or silver variant instead. Now we know.

Geez...would it kill me to scroll down ONE POST before replying?

Yabbut...aren't those the EUROPEAN codes? For series one, Brickset had TWO code sheets...one for NA and one for the rest of the world, yes?
-
Speaking of... If anyone comes across the bar codes for North America, can they please post the link here? I REALLY don't want five 'disco Stu' figures. LOL!
-
Oh, btw... Did some calling around...series two minifigs are expected in TRU here around the first or second week of August and the TRU City truck is currently in the computer system but, not in the stores here in Toronto yet (but, dude says that if it's in the system, they shouldn't be long in arriving)...stores are set to receive 3-9 sets, depending on the size of the store (example: Cedarbrae Mall~3 , Vic Park~9).

I was just going to say the same thing! LOL!

Same thing with 'Thomas the Tank Engine'...I was flipping through a flyer and saw 'Thomas' sets branded by Mega Bloks and that was LEGO's licence not that long ago. My wife's been pretty good about it and actually thinks that a lot of the sets are "very cool"...BUT...every time I mention a new set or theme these days, I get *the look* and the same question: "And just WHERE are you going to put MORE LEGO?" followed by the now-infamous "We're going to have to buy a bigger house. Or better yet, just move into a warehouse!" *sigh* I'll miss her when she's gone. LOL! -

Oh, I think it was definitely planned this way...especially the release of the Imperial Flagship. IMO, LEGO was 'prepping' for the release ('greasing the wheels, as it were') and I think they were also testing to see if the 'hardcores' would be willing to fork out $200 for a pirate ship. Now, personally, I think the movies got weaker and weaker as the series went on...BUT...I also believe that has ZERO bearing on how TOTALLY FRIGGIN' COOL a POTC line in LEGO would be. *sigh* I think I'm gonna have to win the lotto. Between all the new City, Star Wars, Kingdoms, POP, Series 2 Collectible Minifigures and POTC stuff, I'm going to be broke for my next three lifetimes and probably divorced too, if my wife gets wind of all this new swag. LOL Ditto. My interest in the movie licence (ANY licence) has absolutely ZERO bearing on whether or not I'll have an interest in the LEGO line. I'm a LEGO fan. Have been since I was four. If they keep making cool stuff, I'll keep buying it, regardless of whether it's from a great movie, or a lousy one. -
I would love to see them expand their line of baseplates to include the standard green and blue but, to also include white (Hoth, winter City, etc.), tan (sand, light dirt) and brown (darker earth).
