  1. I know Lord Arlindus loves the new horse! I am up to five of them now and wish I had more when I did my Battle of Red Ford MOC, to give a little more dimension to the charge. I should be posting my latest free build (Hamlet of Circardia Gatehouse) this afternoon if the weather cooperates and I can transport it without it falling apart( it is over 100 studs long!)
  2. I picked up one at the Lego store in Downtown Disney about 10 days ago. and saw one at my local Target (Charleston, SC) last week. Both were the MSRP.
  3. Stunning! I love your Legoput lane builds and this one is fantastic! the roof, the facade, the windows everything is great!
  4. I should have posted a link to the legend as well. not sure if that will answer your questions.
  5. took me a bit of searching but here is the latest map. For high res version click link below http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62116&view=findpost&p=1136843 I am pretty sure it is not 100% updated but it looks like the area you wanted is open (on the boarder of Mitgaria and Avalonia even has a river emptying into the sea.
  6. You can follow the story here http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62242
  7. another spot that might help you out is the Lego Store's Pick a Brick wall. there are several threads on how to pack a cup to maximize the contents. And a tip, make your wife something with lego. While I mostly build Castle, I built her a butterfly that is about 50cm x30 cm and put it in a shadow box as a gift and she has been far more supportive and shows off some of my builds to her friends now! Also check out the Guilds of Historica sub topic and join one of the guilds (the guy who built the medieval village in your link is the leader of the guild I belong to, Avalonia). My building skills improved quickly with the feedback I received from fellow guild members, not to mention you have a chance at winning some nice prizes.
  8. Thanks for the complements guys. I piddled around with the cart for a few days. I initially designed the tonics so they were inside the cart and then one night as I was lying in bed thought "have it slide out" its is better for photos and it gave the cart a bit of detail and play-ablity. The hairpiece comes from an early star wars set, Anakin's podracer. The head of Rallo is from a CMF musketeer you got me! I should have switched it out!
  9. Here is my entry, Rallo's Tonics and Elixirs! More photos and story can be found in this thread I might have time for another build before the deadline,
  10. Here is an entry for the commerce challenge that I did. Meet Grolan's nephew, Rallo. more photos and short back story in this thread
  11. Travelling through out Avalonia, Rallo sells his tonics and elixirs to villages and towns through out the land. As nephew of Grolan the Apothecary,, Rallo sought out Grolan to learn all he could. The irritable Grolan agreed to teach Rallo his secrets if Rallo would sell his wares. Currently, Rallo can only mix simple remedies, but he is a good student and eager to learn, getting Grolan to teach is another story! He hope in the next few years to have learned more advanced potions, enough to set up his own shop in the capital of Albion Here, Rallo presents his uncle's wares (and some of his own) to some villagers as he travels back to Circardia for his next lesson. More photos can be found here thanks for looking and as always, Comments and Critics welcomed!
  12. Welcome to Avalonia, Strybjorn. I am not sure if that land is taken or not. I think there is a new map being worked on but don't let that stop you from building, you can work out the details later. I think you have to have a couple more posts before you can put photos in your threads. I finished up two builds I have been working on, one for soccerkid's commerce challenge and another free build. I should have at least one posted in a few hours.
  13. congrats on your haul, what a great surprise! I got Helm's Deep and the Uruk-Hai Army (I got it a few days early when Lego was doing the double VIP on the package deal but had to wait until yesterday to build it!) I think my wife secretly loves my Lego addiction, it makes choosing me gifts so much easier!
  14. this is a topic that comes up from time to time and I think everyone has their own solutions. I typically keep my stuff together until I feel I want a part for my MOCs. I leave my Lego modular buildings and a couple other sets on display which I have sitting on top of four connected book shelves. For me, I have found that if I am fairly organized with my storage (I haven't quite gotten to individual pieces but I organize by color, then brick v. plates. For smaller pieces, like 1x1 rounds plates they are all just in one bin.) Its fairly easy to rebuild the sets if I want to . (I have my instructions in a portable file cabinet and store my boxes inside one another in my attic). For my MOC, I typically recycle them fairly quick. But I take a plenty of photos
  15. Excellent! I already have some ideas for this one and glad we have a few weeks for this as I have plenty going on!
  16. great job! lots of nice details but everything seems to have a reason. I think you did a great job matching the statue with the belt buckle. I also like the angle of the tower The only thing I would suggest is some snow on the roof of the tower. Again great job!
  17. good back story and a great tease for photos. now I will spend my day Sunday refreshing this page!
  18. some great vignettes and characters. enjoyed the story as well! look forward to the next chapter!
  19. nicely done! Was excite to see your interpetation and of course it don't disappoint! Love all you guy's builds (have been lurking your Flickr account!) keep them coming mikey
  20. Hope you guys can load up some photos here for those of us that can't make it. While I build mostly Castle MOC, I have always wanted to try my hand at some military models as some point. Who knows, if this become an annual thing, I can get up their myself one year! Mikey
  21. Thanks for the complement. This was one of my first MOC and I am sure that whatever you guys come up with will be awesome. Besides great minds think alike (if you'll see that both me a de Gothia have built several similar builds since GoH started!) Can't wait to see it! Mikey
  22. nicely done. I really like the dark brown and white. Guess I have more parts to add to my wish list..... looking forward to seeing it all together!
  23. I am in awe at the rate you are pumping this builds out! Well done and I have to say I think this might be my favorite of the towers you have done for Brickworld. Love the details around the tower, the use of the tiles on the side. Great use of color without making it look chaotic or "messy" really have me wishing I could make the 15 hour trek to Chicago....
  24. small world. I was in Tampa visiting my dad and stopped in Orlando on the way back to my home in SC. I spent a good hour and a half packing up PaB tubs! Was hoping they would have the new chess set but it hadn't arrived in the store yet. Question for Stormbringer? Is the dragon articulated so you can pose it differently if you chose to?
