  1. well back after a few days of travel. Hit Downtown Disney was hoping to get the new chess set but they hadn't received it yet. I picked up a few PaB cups (nothing too special) and the LotR Orc Forge. Z great scene you have going there. Can't wait to see everything together and the whole GoH table! Meph. great additions to your Barracks. De Gothia. I have become quite fond of these little vignette type scenes and this one is great! Love the use of the Brick brick! I am adding a few details to my Hamlet of Circardia Gatehouse. Its been raining for the last couple days and with it being over 90 bricks long (mostly a long bridge) and combine with the fact I don't think I have a back drop big enough to put behind the MOC for photos, hopefully I can have it up by Thursday (when shotly after I am sure Z designs will be dominating this forum ;) )
  2. I was in Downtown Disney this weekend and was in awe of the original creation. This one is right up there with it in my opinion. good work!
  3. The offer was on the front page when you go to the lego shop page. When I went to check out online it still read 159 points so I called Lego. they said it would show up once the bill was run. When I asked if it didn't, she said to call back and they would fix make sure it is added. Z I may still do it but i have thought of a couple ideas that I might do. now I am not sure....
  4. Im slow to the punch again! I created a gate house and bridge (over 90 studs long!) for Circardia that I was going to use to show my army marching to Noctronous. No where near as grand as Z's gatehouse at Albion or the size of his army I sounds like he will show us from BrickWorld I am sure. but now with the Armys being recalled, I will think of something else. Perhaps I will just use it as a free build without the army (or just a few soldiers) On a side note, I took advantage of the bundle Lego has going one, got Helm's Deep and the Uruk-hai Army for $159 but got double VIP points (318 points = $15 off) plus free shipping, plus a free mini sopworth camel and free frodo poster! I am heading to Tampa on thursday and Friday and Orlando on Saturday. I hope my VIP point will be updated by Saturday as I currently have $35 in VIP points I haven't used so I could walk into the lego store in Downtown Disney with $50 worth of points to spend! Hope the PaB wall has some good stuff!
  5. I should be able to put something together for this challenge. I like commerce builds. Perhaps I will do something like the market from my embassy build http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66291
  6. I had a feeling this Victor couldn't be trusted! Looking forward to seeing what the next challenge is! But I feel like falling behind on all the story lines! I am nearly finished with a 'march to the Noctruious border" MOC but it sounds like our armys have been recalled? If so should it be a "Escort to Albion and the Great Hall" MOC instead? Im still trying to find time to do some free builds for Circardia and the Capital, Albion. And I am anticipating the new mini build challenge we have been hearing about! Oh and if that wasn't enough I still need to build a "High Executioner" MOC for Avalonia as well. Just not enough time in the day to do all the things I want to!
  7. @Ecclesiastes Thanks for the kind words. I wasn't sure any one would notice the splashes of the horses hooves! @Rougeang I knew I had read it somewhere when we were creating histories! @Capt BB Even thought I didn'T add any Blood Flowers? lol @Zach and legonardo thanks! the posing was a bit of a challenge as I kept knocking figs over as they are so tight!
  8. beautiful work as usual! The wings on the Pegasus are amazing!
  9. Great mind think alike right? mine will be the troops being lead out of Circardia over the Isca River Bridge through the Gatehouse of Circardia. Its a good way of combining an MOC I have been thinking about with some the current story line!
  10. I wish I could join you guys! But I know someone will be taking lots of pictures and posting a link so we can see what you guys are going to have displayed?
  11. Lord Arlindus has been assembling his Phoenix Guard and will be leading them to join the Avalonian forces gathering near the Nocturnus border. (just finishing up a quick MOC similar to de Gothia's!)
  12. great scene de Gothia, I was thinking of something very similar with the Lord Arlindus and his men! The pipers look great mixed in with the Avalonian Soldiers.
  13. thanks for feedback! @Z The Phoenix Guard is always ready to ride against the Baine! They harassed Circardia for too long in the past. @llb I knew as soon as I saw the horse I want to incorporate it into a battle scene. @jFox, what is a battle without a little carnage! @soccerkid glad you like the stone wall @De gothia your turn for a battle scene now! @kabel. I was worried as well until I got one of the horses in my hands. I think the two horses are similar enough to one another that they work together
  14. here is the Historic battle I have been working on. Thanks to those who encouraged me to finish it up! More photos and story here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=70199
  15. This is a battle scene I had been working on prior to the problems with the Drow. I was going to covert it over but my guildmates encouraged me to finish it up as a free build! Hope you enjoy the story and as always Comments and Critics are welcome. The History of the Battle of Red Ford, as told by Darno, bar keep at the Stag’s Head Inn in the Hamlet of Circardia to a pair of travelers. Aye, Lord Arlindus is a great Lord. Smart he is, and knows the woods too. He lived with the elves for a couple years, you know. Brought stability to Circarda, too. Before his father came it was just a trees and grasses. His father, Orthus came with a few friends and set up here. They were just looking live life, but the wild ones were causing trouble all around. Orthus and his mates quickly put a stop to that and word got out about life here along the Isca River. Wasn’t long that people recognized Orthus as the Captain of his group and began to see him as the leader of the lands. More settlers came, some with checkered backgrounds but that didn’t matter to Orthus. He always thought people deserved a second chance and if you worked hard and were honest, you were excepted in Circardia. The House of Baine was trouble though. This is all before Avalonia was united by Atrorious Rex. Those loyal to Baine were a corrupt bunch. They would lie and cheat their mothers for a bit of gold. Those Baine types seemed intent on burning the Enchanted Forest down, wrecking havoc where ever they went. Arlindus was in charge of Circardia by then and did a good job of keeping the House of Baine out of Circardia. But Rex put out a call to join him to fight the evil of this land. And before long Rex and the Flight of Dragons was bringing warring and Lord Arlindus answered the call to join under Rex banner. One of Rex Lords, Lord Trian Burress of Mesodraconem was intent on bring down the House of Baine. He was hunting them down on the Enchanted Island. The House of Baine had promised the Wild Ones and outlaws of the area gold and riches if they would fight for him. Lord Arlindus knew the key to victory on the Enchanted Island was keeping the trade routes open. One route was Red Ford. It cut a days journey off trips to the north of the Enchanted Island. The Wild Ones and some of the Baine folk were already massing at the Ford when Arlindus took his Phoenix Guard and some a few knights from the Flight of Dragons there. Arlindus quickly created a plan to crush them. He sent his archers up a ridge overlooking the ford and they began harassing the Baine encampment. The Wild Ones being an aggressive type were quick to try and take out the archers but Lord Arlindus had laid a trap. He held his horsemen in reserve and as the Wild Ones began to cross the narrows at Red Ford, he lead a charge of the Phoenix Guard into the enemy as they were crossing. They were no match for the swords and pikes of the Phoenix! The Wild Ones were crushed that day and it wasn’t long after the House of Baine went into exile and hiding. Artroious Rex heard of Arlindus’ bravery and gave him Lordship over all of Circardia. Life has been good here since then although I hear those Drow are starting to kick up a fuss over in Nocturnus and Lord Arlindus is going to take a unit of the Phoenix Guard to the border to help Artroious Rex once again. More image can be found here Special thanks to ZCerberus for allowing me to cross over into the House of Baine storyline and Rougeang for the name Battel of Red Ford (even if I can't find where you introduced it Im sure it was you!)
  16. Im not bother by the amount of light grey the one thing that you might could add is a band of black like a black plate where the floors meet. Or stepping out a brick on the second floor might break up the grey a bit. Still I think it looks great!
  17. I found the smaller three prong ones in the PAB wall a three years ago or so. I filled a large cup with those. About a year ago I was at a store and there was now foliage out. I asked the guy working there and he went in the back and came out with some of the three leaf plants and some of those bigger leafs in a bright green. If you go into a store and don't see what you want, ask. They have always been very helpful when I asked.
  18. The lands shall know the bravery of Lord Arlindus and his Phoenix Guard! need advice: I am nearly complete (85%-90%) on a battle MOC from Lord Arlindus and Circardia's history. Should I present that(most likely this weekend) and then do a separate build for the War against the Drow or do I scrape my current build and focus on latest challenge?
  19. There are some great techniques here I really like the snot bridge, the angle and the wall of the tower look good. i like the window details on the window that overlooks the bridge. the other nice thing is that it is modular. the water looks great and the details are nice too. great work all around!
  20. I too got a couple dozen in the post Christmas sale here in the US from Target. (never saw it wal-mart) I basically cleared out the four local Targets. While I was walking around with a stack of these in my little cart, a kid with his mom asked me where I found them. I could tell he want one and told his mom that they were really discounted and he could get six for the original price and that if they wanted that many, I'd give them up to him. He was over the moon and his mom started getting emotional and thanked me profusely. I felt good and hope he had as much fun as me as a kid when I would battle with my old black falcon knights...
  21. I wouldn't consider myself blood thirsty but that is my current MOC project. I wanted to do something different from a building and I kind of enjoyed posing the fight scene my Challenge 3 MOC. It won't be a huge epic battle scene but will feature Lord Arlindus' and the Phoenix guard leading the charge at the Battle for Red Ford
  22. Great build and love the details. I particularly like the tower and the roof of the shop Great job and can't wait to see your other buildings!
  23. Fabulous build! love the tower.
  24. Creating the Sigfig gave me the idea for another build I started on this afternoon. I figured I would do a scene from Arlindus' history. This one will be the Battle for Red Ford with Arlindus leading a charge into the enemy. I still need to do the Lord High Executioner challenge but was thinking I might go back in history for that as well. maybe a hint as to why Orthus fled to Circardia.
  25. Name: Arlindus Rank:Lord of Circardia, Captain of the Phoenix Guard Age: 35 Weapon of Choice:Sword, Bow and Pike Character Info: Arlindus (shown wearing battle gear) Lord Arlindus is the son of Orthus and Awhyn. Orthus settled Circardia several decades ago when he fled his homeland to avoid imprisonment. He and his companions founded a hamlet known as Circardia that soon became a prosperous trading point between elves of the Enchanted Forest and Men. Arlindus' mother, Awhyn, was an adventure that settled in Circardia and married Orthus. Sadly she died after giving birth to Arlindus leaving Orthus to raise his son on is own. When Arlindus was 15, Dywinlyn, High Chief of the Elven Oak Heart Clan, invited him to learn the ways of the elves. Arlindus stayed with the elves until after his 17 birthday, when he returned to Circardia. When Arlindus was 21, Orthus passes his Captaincy of the Phoenix Guard and rule of Circardia to his son, but remains an advisory to Circardia and an ambassador to the Elves. Over the next ten years, Arlindus strengthened the Phoenix Guard and improved the lands of Circardia, largely ridding the lands of evil beasts and outlaws providing a small vestige of safety to Circardia's inhabitants from the uncertainties in Avalonia before Artorious Rex united the lands. Arlindus answered the call of Artorious Rex and pledged himself and the Phoenix Guard to the "Flight of the Dragons" Artorius Rex granted Arlindus the title of Lord of Circardia for his heroism during the Battle of Red Ford.
