  1. I Emailed Lego today about my missing poster, and they have already emailed back with apologies and the promise to send one in the mail asap! Their customer service really is tops. On another note, I finished my Maersk train this evening, and wow. Just wow. What a fantastic model.
  2. In all honesty, 24 would be AWESOME!!!!!, but one will do for now :) . Just curious for others who took advantage of the free shipping, did anyone get their UCS poster, or was that a US only deal??.
  3. Woohoo! - My order arrived today too! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train! Train!
  4. Hey all, has anyone received their S@H order from the 'May the Fourth' promotion yet? I'm just checking some of the othe forums, and many folks around the world have recieved their items. I know the advertised time is '13 business day's, but from experience, this isn't too accurate. I really want my Maersk train!!!!!
  5. The free postage does mean we can get some of those lovely exclusives without paying extra for shipping or ordering through BL. Did anyone get anything that is normally available in NZ shops? And Allan - are you sure 3 trains is enough for you?? I must say I am disappointed
  6. Woohoo! 1 Maersk train and 1 UCS JSF coming my way! The free minifig and poster look really cool too, and the free shipping means more money to spend on Lego. Win!
  7. Hello - and welcome aboard Eurobricks! We have a very helpful and constructive NZ contingent here, and enjoy talking to fellow kiwis. As for the 10212, I am just about to purchase one myself, so am looking at a few options. I know that Lego NZ will be getting them in later this year, but not sure what retail stores will be selling them yet, or at what price. Usually the bigger sets go to Toyworld or KMart, so its bound to be one or both of those. S@H means 'Lego Shop at Home', which is Lego's online store at http://shop.lego.com. They have the 10212 set available now, but it will cost you around $499 + $80NZD for postage. Yeouch!. However, Lego sometimes has free shipping offers, so it pays to subscribe to their mailing list to keep informed. I got an email a few days back about a Special Star Wars lego announcement on the 3rd of May, so keep an eye out! You can also try www.bricklink.com, and see what private sellers have on offer. Postage varies around the world, but sets can be cheaper (eg - you can get a 10212 from NZD$310 there - but as with any online purchase - do your research first. Bricklink has a good feedback system, so use it!!!!! I also saw a 10212 on Trademe a few months back, but i think the price was a stratospheric $600 odd. I think the key is to be patient, and you will find a good deal:) Good luck!
  8. Hey all - Im just about to do a Lego S@H order, then remembered that last year, they did free global shipping for all orders placed on the 3rd or 4th May (As part of their 'May the Fourth' promotion). Has anyone heard of anything similar this year? It would be nice to put that $80 shipping fee towards more bricks:) Oh - and the PF Train motors and rechargeable battery boxes are listed as 'Sold out'. Grrrrrrrr.
  9. Thanks guys! - My new cabinet will accommodate these nicely!
  10. Thanks for that, but I need the landing gear down / wings up configuration height - the 71cm in flight position would be to tall for the cabinet I got :) I havent forgotten about the S@H order - just getting a few more people on board for a Maersk Train. Will be in contact soon.
  11. Hey all - Has anyone got the 4483 ATAT or the 10212 Imperial shuttle? Im keen to know the height of these models (want to see if they will fit in a cabinet I bought) before I buy them. Ive asked this question in the SW forum a few weeks back, but no-one responded, so hoping some fellow kiwis can assist. Im keen to know the height of the 10212 in landing gear down / wings up configuration. Cheers!
  12. What parts are you after?? - Flick me a PM, as Ive got a few boxes filled with new bricks from numerous BL orders over the years, including a fair few DB Bley parts..
  13. Hey all - Is anyone considering doing a Lego.com order soon? Im hankering for a Maersk train! Im thinking about getting one on bricklink, but they start from $211NZD + postage there, so might just get one directly from Lego. Does anyone out there want anything so we can split postage?
  14. Im considering buying this model after months of thinking about it... But hoping a current owner can help out with a question. How big is this model when sitting on its landing gear (ie - wings up) - the blurb on Lego.com says 'Measures 28" (71 cm) tall on stand and 22" (57 cm) wide with wings deployed', but I need to know what the size is when its 'resting'. Reason is, is that Ive managed to pick up some nice glass / aluminum display cabinets from a local shop that was being refurbished. Although I'd buy this model anyway, it would be nice to have it fit in a cabinet. Cheers muchly.
  15. Just tried, and the website isnt responding.... 'Safari can’t open the page “http://www.me-models.com/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding'
  16. Its a shame that Hello Kitty Lego isnt out yet - 50% off that would have been AWESOME!
  17. Just picked up 3 Star Destroyers from Kmart Bayfair (Tauranga). They were all out of BP's, and other specials were dwindling fast. Thanks so much for the heads up NZKiwiman!!! Also (off topic) just had a play on a Nintendo 3DS - all I can say is WOW!!!!
  18. The quantities showing should be pretty accurate, and if they are not (for whatever reason), the seller should let you know. Ive dealt with Gelo several times, and she has been fantastic. When one of her quantities was wrong, I got refunded, plus a few little bonus pieces. So yeah - great service:) Postage from NZ sellers usually just takes a few days, but Ive waited up to a month for some orders from overseas:( And btw, welcome to EB - we try and keep up to date on sales etc, and let every one know if we see a bargain.
  19. Ooooh - time to get some more Hoth Super packs:) They'll be down to around $90. Pretty good for 3 Sets...
  20. Hey - No I didnt buy any 8878's - I have moved towns, so all my trains are still packed away - so really havent given it too much thought. Im considering my track options though - may switch over to 9v to solve all the motor / powerpack issues in one easy wall powered solution. The maersk would be cool with a 9V too. Im also very keen to see what THIS is all about too.... (or THAT) Kapiti TW have got 10 Maersks on order from Lego (and some other cool models too such as the tower bridge and Imperial shuttle) - I know the owner quite well, and have an hold for 1 of the kits he gets in. I figure it might be a good set to get multiples of, so will look to BL for another engine and / or stock.
  21. Just noticed that the Maersk train pricing is finally on Lego.com for NZD$199.00. If you do a direct currency conversion from the USD$119. price, it works out at $166 NZD. Not too bad really - we've been beaten up more in the past with rubbish currency conversions. May wait to see what pops up on BL in the weeks following April 1 - wouldn't surprise me if people split up the engine / rolling stock:)
  22. WOW! - I want a Twilight Eclipse game for $4.99!!!! In all seriousness though, I wouldn't mind one of those Atlantis HQ sets. Its a pretty cool set for $49.99,
  23. Hey all, I have recently relocated from Wellington to Tauranga, so had a good opportunity to stop in at a few TWs up the island on my trip up. Picked up a Grand Emporium from Hastings TW for $270 (They now have 1 left - so give them a call if you are looking for one - Its a pretty good price on a now hard to find kit). Also saw a few of the 7897 Passenger trains in Napier TW (!!!!!) - plus they were having a 20% off storewide sale. Its my 3rd day in Tauranga today, so Im having a bit of a look around to see whats available up here.
  24. Hey all, My heart goes out to all that have been affected by todays awful events - Im just watching the news now, and its heart breaking watching how many people have been hurt. Like our beloved Lego, buildings can be rebuilt, but lives are irreplaceable. Take care everyone.
  25. Hehehe - everyone wants a Fallingwater!! - Let us know when it goes on TM David!
