Check this out!!! MADNESS!!!

WOW! - has anyone seen this, or know anything about it?? LINK 'Over 10k of lego' is a helluva lot of plastic bricks! I'd be keen to know more.....

The Moore Wilsons out in Porirua also stocks Lego Not a big as range as CBD, but still worth a visit. i picked up a DS2 for $500 new there a few months back, and last week I got the Midi-Falcon for $59. If anyones interested, the CBD store still has UCS falcons for around $800 . Im not sure of why they continually have lower prices, but as a 'cash and carry' store, they dont accept Credit cards or do Laybys, so they may pass some of that lower overhead cost into their products.

Hey Guys - Is anyone interested in buying a 10179 UCS Falcon? I have a set thats been built once, and comes complete with all figs, box, instructions and even the plain outer box for shipping. Its the Non - Limited Edition set, so does not have any certificate. It was built once, and has now been dismantled and is sitting in its box ready for a new owner. Its all in excellent condition. I'll put it on TM in a week or so, but want to know if any Kiwi Eurobrick peeps are interested so I can avoid those stupid success fees.. I also have another sealed boxed set, but will save that for 'investment purposes' :) PM me or post a reply if youre keen.

Mmmmmmmm....UCS.....

Went to WH Lyall bay today, and Lego seems to have been missed out in the sales. Semi decent selection, with several Venators, Endors, Y-Wings, DV Tie.... etc, but all at full price.
-
Hey guys - a bit off topic, but still SW related - I was clearing up some cupboards today and found 5 SW Mighty Muggs that I had forgotten about. If anyones keen, I have C3PO, Chewie, Boba Fett, Mace Windu and Darth Vader. Any offers? - Am also open to swaps for SW Lego - Anything considered:) (There we go - thats the Lego relevance).
-
Yikes! $350 is a bit steep! Thing is, because its a Lego exclusive, we wont see it in our shops anytime soon. It might end up being like the UCS Falcon or the DS playset and we see it on our shelves months after original release. Still, price gripes aside, I do love this set, and will (eventually) get it. I have a brother in the US, so may even get him to get it for me (If current exchange rate holds, it'll be $217-ish) Now thats a good price:)

Check brickstructures.com - Thats the guy who has designed all the Lego Architecture sets. Falling Water is $140 USD inc postage internationally. A bit pricey, but WOW - Its beautiful! -
The DS wasnt included in their 'Christmas Deals', so I only got it on standard 8 week layby. Ill probably try and pay it off sooner, cos Ive run out of things to build..... Just finished my uber cheap UCS ATST that i picked up - Very Cool model, a bit wobbly, but i guess its keeping in with the spirit of the ROTJ live action counterparts.
-
Oh darn - missed it! - Looks like it was snapped up really quickly! I put one at Kmart on layby today, so not too gutted. Im paying $199 more than the TM auction, but at least this way I have 8 weeks to pay it off, so its not to damaging to the bank Account:) Bottom line is, is I now have a DS playset (well, in 8 weeks anyway...) and that makes me a happy chappy.
-
Thanks for the tip Legoman - Ill give it a few days. Its just a matter of timing with the Kmart Toy sale ending on Wednesday...
-
I concur my friend. I concur. (Still weeping.....)
-
Wah! - I 'slept on it' last night..... Looks like a Kmart Layby is my ticket now....
-
Brilliant! thanks! Looks like around 25$ postage Auckland to Wellington. Ive asked the seller for Box dimensions on TM just to make absolutely sure. Got Dimensions from Seller - A lot cheaper than i thought to post ..... And the Venators been snapped up.... anyone here? Also - Does anyone have a 10129 Snowspeeder that they are willing to sell - regardless of condition, I'd love to get one.
-
Wow - This guys awesome! It was so hard not to click on the buy now button for the DS Playset... Im still thinking of just going into Kmart and putting one on layby and paying off over 8 weeks. May be a little less painful that way. On that note, does anyone know the Box dimensions and weight of the DS playset? - Am thinking that postage will make a real difference to the overall cost.
-
Hey guys - does anyone here in NZ own the UCS Y-wing and UCS Vaders Tie Advanced? Im wanting to see if anyone could please measure the length of these models, as im thinking of buying them specifically to sit together in a diorama, and want to know whether their scale is similar. Ive done a internet search, but most results are different, or completely non-sensical... Any help would be appreciated - Oh, and if anyone has either of these sets to sell, please let me know:)
-
Well, Its not quite as large as my previous hoth setup.... This mini diorama actually fits in my house:)
-
I exhibited huge amounts of restraint, and only bought 2 Echo Bases. Opened and built one, and will keep one boxed for a rainy day. It looks great next to the Motorized ATAT and original 7666 Hoth base. Must say i initially thought that $50 (or $40 via the weekend sales) was overpriced, but I love Love LOVE this set! Cant wait till the Endor set comes out.
-
Went to farnmers Cuba Mall,Wellington today, and no new sets. As LegoMan said earlier, Toyworld Megastore Wellington has some of the new sets. Must say the Venator was a bit smaller than anticipated, and Echo Base was overpriced, but I want that Tauntaun!!!! On another note, One of my workmates was selling some of his Lego sets that he had hidden away in shoeboxes for several years. For $400, I got - UCS X wing, UCS TIE Interceptor, UCS ATST and the Sandcrawler. No boxes for any, but all parts (and all figs for Sandcrawler) were there with instructions. Im very very stoked :)

Hey CommanderFox, i really wish I could play piano like that, but alas, its not me. Its track #1 of NIN's 'Ghosts' album. The MOC went for $1200 odd - which was less than the price I paid for all those bricks, but I figured that it kept me entertained for 9 months, so the price was sort of irrelevant. Thanks for the tips for my next MOC everyone, Ive got a few ideas, so will do a bit of research and see what I end up with:)

I came across a pretty cool image of a modelmakers interpretation of the DS trench run here... http://www.starshipmodeler.com/starwars/ta_gold.htm I love the cut-away style of this action shot, and reckon that it would translate pretty well into lego - especially using the UCS variants of the Y-wing, and a UCS Vaders TIE chasing it. Plus the bonus of no minifigures to make it expensive through BL:). Heaps of Greebling though!! Speaking of which, I was going to buy these 2 models anyway from BL, but does anyone here in NZ have a 10134 UCS Y-wing or a 10175 UCS Vaders TIE for sale? Oh - and Dragonator - Thanks so much for the use of the Mini-figs! I'll pop around tomorrow and drop them off to you

Hey NZ'ers, Im posting this here, as this seems to be a good 'NZ only' corner of Eurobricks. Later on this year, Toyworld coastlands (Kapiti Coast) will be having another Lego Show, and in order to continue a very young tradition (only 1 year old) Im wanting to build another Star Wars landscape. Last year I did a Hoth base scene that took waaaaay too long to make, but was pretty awesome (Dragonator can attest to that:)), and this year im wanting to do a smaller sized SW scene, but Im kinda looking for ideas...... Something like a DS trench run, or Speeder Bike Chase, or something equally as cool. Does anyone have any ideas of great SW landscapes that can be realised in lego form? I usually take pre-made sets and create a landscape for them - has anyone got any ideas? Just to show you what Im on about, heres a link to my Hoth Video on youtube..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EepCyNQJpCQ...re=channel_page Thanks!

Bricklink is great, but as mentioned before, it can be quite expensive. When I was hunting for the Motorised ATAT before it was released in NZ, I found a bricklink seller that had them without boxes and minifigs - they were dirt cheap (like around $30 USD), and I bought the ATAT driver and Veers separately as they were the only unique figs in that set. Even after postage, I got 3 of them for less than the price of 1 new one here in NZ. (And the exchange rate was awesome back then too:)) But yes, MISB can be pricy through BL, but occasionally there are some exceptions. TM is great too (I recently picked up a great used condition UCS Naboo and UCS Yoda for cheap as), but most of the time, its all about demand from other buyers.

Hello NZ'ers.. Does anyone have any contacts in the USA? Im really wanting to get a Grievous UCS set, and notice that its at a ridiculous price of $USD29 at the moment, but has a sold out status in NZ. I can get it from Bricklink for 43USD, and theres a few on trademe but thought Id ask here first. Any help would be appreciated:)
