Doing that for sure. I'm having alien species from all kinds of different LEGO themes in my theme, and for realism, I'll also be having a good amount of alien cops (as well as human criminals). I'm definitely going to be using Bad Cop's flying car from The LEGO Movie as the standard space police vehicle. Great set, for sure! I'm also going to see if I can incorporate the futuristic looking police hummer from 70808. All that's left to decide for those vehicles then is whether to use stickers on them, and if so, which ones... I haven't really chosen a "police badge logo" yet so that's still up for debate. Cool, thanks! I definitely love the vehicles, especially Bad Cop's pursuit 'car', it's like it was made for Space Police. I'll Bricklink some. One thing I'm struggling with is which police logo to use for their default badge. SP3 uses a red logo with a black star in the middle, but the cops from TLM use a golden star with a black minifig head inside. I can't find any SP3 sets that contain the red logo as a sticker with a black background instead of white, so it'll either be custom work, or I'll leave the vehicles stickerless... or I'll simply use the SP3 officers as SWAT members and go with the Bricksburg badge for the cops, but I might also be able to design my own logo. Figuring out a black-and-white cop outfit was also an idea of mine which I'll still have to think through. So many options... so if anyone has any ideas for that, then those would be most welcome as well. Or share pictures of your own cops, if you want, I might find some inspiration in that.

I don't think LEGO would pass up the opportunity to release new sets based on a very popular film franchise...

I don't mind that at all, the fantasy and medieval minifigs you get in the CMF series are almost always better than what you'd get in an actual set.

Looks like this series will revolve entirely around The Riddler! Or maybe a little bit around The Joker because of the purple...

Is this appropriate for parts that have stickers on them as well? I have some older Space Police 3 sets with many parts that are in high need of de-yellowing before assembling the sets again, and quite a lot of them have stickers on them.

Title says it all, I'm looking for these three Space Police minifigures. Rench and Squidtron are welcome as well, as are most of the Space Police cops, but the main three I need are in the title. Let me know if you've got them, I have things to trade from all kinds of different themes. From Star Wars to Castle to Collectible Minifigures, just ask and I'll see what I can get you.

I can try making something like that, sounds good to me. I recently got back into Brickfilming and I'm planning to do a Space Police film (or multiple films) in the future, incorporating LEGO's characters and certain aspects and adding many of my own things to create my own universe, so to speak, so different types of space police members for different character roles would certainly be a great thing to include. I am also looking for printed arms and legs from other minifigures to use them on some of the SP3 figures, such as the criminals. Does anyone know any good ones? Perhaps some for Frenzy and Squidman to replace their plain legs and arms. By the way... would you guys say flesh skin tones would be good for this, or would sticking to yellow skin for the human figures be better? Just figuring out what I want there.

That trailer is great. This movie seems like it's going to be a blast! And like The LEGO Movie, a fun spectacle with visuals and a vibe that only these LEGO films have. That said, I'm really looking forward to the sets, I'm hoping to see lots of different new minifigs and perhaps as many sets as The LEGO Movie theme had, if those waves were of any indication. I do wonder if they'll make a reference to the old Basil the Batlord minifigure from the Fright Knights theme from the late 90s. I doubt it, but it would be another cool nod to classic LEGO.

Space Police III was, and still is, one of my favorite LEGO themes. Not only the sets were great, the minifigures also had awesome looking designs all around. But I'm looking to see what alternatives there are for certain minifigures these days, namely the space police officers themselves, as I'd like to figure out a look for them and stick with that decision for future MOCs, stories and also Brickfilms of mine. Have any of you ever, perhaps recently, made your own versions of the Space Police cops, whether they were mere alterations or more than that, or do you think they're good as they are in general? I'm looking for ways to improve upon the original Space Police 3 minifigures right now (as for cops, the ones with grey bodies and black helmets, with black airtanks), and see if there might be other ways to make great looking space cops or otherwise just default things to add to those figures to make them even better looking. The same goes for some of the criminals. So, basically, ways to update those figures. Post any ideas you might've had here, and any other SP-related ideas are welcome as well, of course.

I still don't really understand why they didn't give Ahsoka dual-molded arms. Superhero sets are getting it - at times more detailed, even - but not Star Wars, for some reason. It's not like it wasn't necessary for her. The figure, as it is now, looks great when it comes to the other parts, but the arms look really bland and don't really help to represent her outfit too well. I hope they'll release a figure with dual molded arms in dark orange at the top and dark bluish grey at the bottom so we can still use that on Ahsoka, but I'm not sure if that's anything one should expect...

Those sets look pretty damn cool. New Batmobile definitely looks like something our LEGO Batman here would be driving. And Joker's lowrider is looking great as well, interesting stuff here. I'm just not sure what to think of Robin, there... I'm not that well versed when it comes to anything superhero-related, is it supposed to be some kind of gag that has something to do with some iterations of Robin? I think he should've been a bit shorter as well, he looks like a kid, facially, but then turns out to be a normal sized guy. Or maybe just a "big kid"... That's also a rather unusual Joker design, more feral looking than any Joker I can remember. But we'll see how it plays out.

I guess they weren't ever planning to fix Ezra's skin colour, but I can't believe they couldn't even be bothered to correct the colours on the Agent Kallus minifigure...

Just like every other character. Thrawn, too. It doesn't really matter if we don't immediately have a canon backstory for them. What matters now is the first step towards canonizing them, and once characters like Revan are canon, there is no doubt that their canon history will later be expanded upon. No.

I hope we'll get to see a Pepper Roni (from the LEGO Island games) cameo in the skate park set, that would be awesome.

Adventurers Alpha Team Rock Raiders For Adventurers, we got an updated Johnny Thunder in 2014, and for Alpha Team, the Spy minifigure in the Collectible Minifigures series 16 is a remake of the old 2001 Dash figure, so they haven't forgotten about any of those themes, if anything. They could even do an Alpha Team LEGO Movie if they want to - their own LEGO spy movie with their original spy characters.

I always liked all of the older sports themes when I was younger, it would be interesting to see those themes make a comeback. I do wonder if the hockey stuff will be done with figures like that one from one of the older Collectible Minifigure series, but I think they will (if LEGO hockey will be a thing again) since I can't see them making those technic/BIONICLE-ish guys from back then again today.

Woah! That spy minifigure is Dash from the old Alpha Team theme! It even has an updated version of the logo. That's so cool, I think I'll be getting a good group of those to make updated versions of the rest of the team as well. I love it when they do things like this. This is absolutely great.
