    Hoke thanks the orc for the information and continues his survey of the ship. He notices a man in a grey pointed hat and address him. "Hoke Ablesword, sir." Unless I am missing something, Hoke should only have SP: 28 - 20 Shield, 5 Heavy Armor, and 3 Flagpole. Where is 29 coming from? Also, everyone in the party gets a +3 bonus to SP as long as Hoke has the Flagpole equipped.

    "Who is Grishnod, and why was he/she kidnapped? Who is building the side of the bridge in Baltarok? Sorry for all of these inquiries, but I am an inquisitive fellow," Hoke says with a disarming smile.

    Hoke stroked his stumbled face as the orc spoke. His fears seemed well founded, but, like every tale, there was bound to be another side to story. "Tis a pity for your people. I hope a peaceful resolution presents itself that is mutually beneficial for the Kingdoms and for Baltarok. Seems to me maybe the vikings are a common nemesis?"

    Hoke nonchalantly walks about the deck of the ship, taking in the sights and sounds. He checks out each of the heroes and the crew. He spots the orc from the docks and walks up to him. "Hoke Ablesword, sir."

    Hoke clears his throat. "I do hope y'all realize we can do this back and forth on the voyage. Captain, how long till we depart?"

    Stats updated after a visit to the Marketplace: Hoke arrives and quietly greets his fellows. He listens to the kobold's tale. and after a short pause, he addresses the talebearer. "How do the Orcs play into this other than their recent activities. What stakes do they have that are tied to the kingdoms and the bridge?"

    I like to put Hoke together as a utility player. He's a decent meat shield, is able to put out decent damage to multiple enemies, and has access to some good weapons. I'd rather not 'put all of my eggs in one basket" with an Artefact, but I guess you are right in that if Hoke gets something awesome, then everything should be dumped into that.

    Hoke laughed and slapped Boomingham's shoulder. "It's good to see you! Nay, you do not owe me anything, except a drink and a tale or two. Have you signed up for any of the quests? Looks like I will be heading out soon on one of them, and I want you to join me. As for Thothwick, yes, we are acquainted," Hoke said as he patted the metasamien on his back.

    I would like to go Dragoon, but no matter what I do, it looks like all of the classes I would like can carry a shield. Did not know you couldn't remove a scroll after imbuing. Guess I need to read the rules. Nah, he's just messin' with Booms.
