    Next time, can you remove the slow motion affect on the video? IT can be very disorienting. Anyways... the tank performs pretty well for a first timer, great job!

    I think you should replace one of the fuel tanks for the battery box, with the switch facing out.

    We have already technically been funded 180000 for 6 matlab license to program our robot with. The robot will be a large Mars Rover with a base attached to it that can sort the objects that the rover picks up. We estimated the size of the rover to be about 3 feet by 1.2 feet by about 5 inches. The funny thing is that the last competition just ended like 4 months ago!

    My robotics team will be purchasing, with funded money, about 8 bricks along with 4 l motors each.

    I have actually hooked up a 9volt battery to a lego nxt, and i worked fine, but be sure to find the right two ports to plug it in. the configuration of the batteries is like this: fig 1 __ __ __ __ - + - + - + - + + - + - + - + - _ __ __ __ _ _ = the metal connectors += positive - = negative IF you were to "pull" this into a string it would be like this fig 2 _-_+_-_+_-_+_-_+_-_+_-_+_ IF you connect it wrong, it will short and start to smoke, so you need to connect it on the two single underscores on the fig 1. To hold this in place you will need to soder the ends.

    The worm gear will work, but it will rub up against the beams on either side, it probably will put a little stress on the motor but not that much.

    I would suggest you buy a NXT because the new Ev3 and Nxt cannot be daisy chained together.

    Hello splat! I have modified one of your gearbox designs. (You'll know which one when you see it) It is now MUCH stronger, it doesn't skip gears, an it works under heavy loads. http://imgur.com/a/KiAFj. As i could only find 3 wormgears out of my mess of technic, it couldn't reach all of ratios You'll just have to add in the extra wormgear.     Tried it and the bottom was really weak, causing the gears to skip. edit: i tried it with nxt motors.

    If you read the begging, it said that it is good for a few hours of play, so I'm guessing that is when the motor breaks down.

    If the resistor is too high, the led will not shine as bright too.

    Yes, i agree, if it is too big, it will be far too expensive, only a few people would buy it, so TLG wouldn't make much money.
