  1. Thanks for the replies! Azog, no, I won't give it red cannon flaps. It has blue to match the Imperial Flagship set. It is not the cat minifigure, it is that gold warrior dude form series 15. I will try and get a picture up soon of the anchors. Cousarmy0001, Nothing I can do about that, but my next ship I plan on building is for the blue Coats. Franco Clarke, I bought cloth from Walmart, cut a couple pieces to paper sized, and stuck them in the printer, then cut out the pattern and glued it to the sail. EKnight
  2. I present to you my latest ship, the brig Renown. HMS Renown by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr I wanted to make a ship in the colours of the original Imperial Flagship, as it had been awhile since I had done so. HMS Renown by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr She carries 28 guns, 16 on the gundeck, and another 8 up top, plus 2 bow chasers, and two stern chasers HMS Renown by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr I actually did a bit of editing on the photos. I normally just take em and post em. HMS Renown by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr I am very pleased with how the stern turned out. HMS Renown by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr I used the Captain Green Hair frigate tutorial for a lot of help, especially at the bow. 3. Thanks for the comments! There is a bit of an interior. Guess I forgot to add the picture. It's not the greatest shot, but there isn't really much to see. Elephant Knight by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr EKnight
  4. No I didn't name the boat after myself. But it belongs to my sigfig, Eleman, what else would I call it? Elephant Knight by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr Elephant Knight by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr I challenged myself to build a ship using old brown and old dark grey, the colours of those hulls. I added yellow, because it's my favorite colour (No, it's not black white and trans neon green. That's my favorite colour SCHEME) I quickly found out that Yellow and old brown look horrible together, but in a good way? I dunno... Elephant Knight by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr Elephant Knight by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr I am quite happy with how my figure head turned out. Elephant Knight by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr Eleman and his crew (He is the one in the middle, blue shirt, tricorn, yellow epaulets) On his immediate right and left, are sigfigs of a couple friends, the rest are mostly from a Secret Pirate that was done on the now defunct forum, Forbidden Cove.com. 5. Thanks for the replies! There were a couple reason's i didn't tile the the floor. One, I didn't have any to spare, and two, i like it studded, as I like the ability to place my minifigs anywhere. i like to play around. I do agree that the crew doesn't fit. But these guys (and gal) were simply made from leftover fig parts I had. The T-16 Skyhopper part was where the entire build began from. And yes, I agree that it feels very Star Wars-y EKnight
  6. You may have seen the WIP teasers on my Flickr, but now the Remise is finally done! (Well, it was a couple months ago, but I got lazy and busy, so only now are pictures coming.) I consider this ship one of my best creations to date. Easily in my top 3 for spaceships. Overall shots. 7. I am impressed that you managed to use those hull parts. I don't own them, but I have seen them, and the don't look easy to use. Not to mention I have never seen a good looking ship using them before. Ships has lots of personality to it, too.
  8. Thanks for the comments! I'll have you know, it is very swooshable And yeah, Blacktrons and Klingons were made for each other. EKnight
  9. I built this the other night, I am very pleased on how it turned out. I never thought I could build such a sleek ship using old grey. The logos are custom stickers. It was built back in September. I really wish the smaller, 6x6 quarter curved dome part came in blue. Would make the colours a lot better on the Saucer. LL 1701 Enterprise by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr I want to make the pylons that hold the engines slanted like this / , But I still am unsure how to make it both look good, and be stable. LL 1701 Enterprise by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr As usual, any comments and criticism are welcome. EKnight
  10. Thanks for the replies! I never really though the radar dish looked to plain. I also don't really have much in the way of ideas to spruce it up. EKnight
  11. The personal ship to a Darreg Netsooj, my sigfig in the Star Wars Universe, the Fast Edge is a SoroSuub LS 92-4 Quicksprint-class personal yacht. This has been an ongoing project (The original version was built back in 2010) I would say this is the 3 1/2 version of this ship. I thought I would share it's current iteration. 12. Hello, I have two Blacktron 2, and one Blacktron 1 MOC (What an interesting coincidence.....) First off, the Blacktron 1 Bird of Prey. 13. I actually built this MOC quite some time ago, and took the pictures about a month ago, and only now am finally posting them., Yeah, I am lazy. 14. The highlight of this MOC is the minifigs. They are excellent, and very true to the source material. The ship somehow looks a bit off to me, I always thought the back wings/engines were larger than what you did here. regardless, an excellent MOC.
  15. These are adorable! I love how you kept all the original functions, and smaller vehicles, too!
  16. Thanks for all the comments! The interior was quite simple, but I quite like it too. i want to add a bit more stuff in the "hanger bay" area. Yes, those are Mirax and Talon Karrde. At first, yes, only the tip was red, but eventually, he got the whole thing painted.
  17. For all those familiar with the Star Wars Legends Expanded Universe, you will probably recognize this ship. For those of you who don't go look it up! 18. How large? It will be two layers deep, three if you include the wharf. One layer of 32x32 modules, one layer of 48x48 modules. I can't really spare the parts to make another white building, my white collection has been rather sucked dry, thanks to a very large Blacktron 2 spaceship. For now, the Fort shall stay. EKnight
  19. Thanks for the vote of confidence on the fort. I really am not too sure what it is about that I don't like, but something is just off to me. Maybe the pictures give out the details better. Also, I should put some figs and a couple cannons on there some time. Interior pics may have to wait awhile. Not that there is much interior to take pictures of... EKnight
  20. As a matter of fact, a fountain has gone in there. Here are some more pictures. The magistrate's office is now complete.next building will probably be a blacksmith's shop, and after that, on to building generic houses. Magistrate's office 001 by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr And for those who are interested in the scale, here is Hurricane Bay with the original IFS: Hurricane Bay WIP by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr EKnight
  21. Well, as said, this is only the beginning. I will be adding things to the dock such as market stalls, lampposts, a crane or two, lots of figs (Hopefully) Some palm trees will get planted, most likely on the sandbar. I actually have never heard of a signal fire before. No, I didn't rob a Lego store to do this project. At least not recently. Going to be gone for most of the day today, so sometime during the week I shall try and take a picture with a ship or two. EKnight.
  22. So, some of you may know that I have a Lego Pirate web-comic, and a point is coming up where I will need a port, and since the old port has long been demolished, I am starting a, rather large, project. After a week, this is what I have so far: Hurricane Bay 001 by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr The whole thing. Hurricane Bay 004 by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr The six sections that will make up the wharf. Hurricane Bay 005 by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr Yellow Frog Tavern. Hurricane Bay 007 by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr I really don't like this little fort. Will definitely need to redo it. Hurricane Bay 006 by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr Just half of MMV expanded. Hurricane Bay 008 by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr Currently working on the Magistrate's office In case you didn't notice, the whole thing is modular, for a variety of reasons. First, easier to store and even build. Second, if I need to access a certain building for inside photos, I can simply remove the desired section, instead of trying to work around buildings. Thirdly, it is much easier to add or destroy a building. Need a buidling which I don't have? Build one? Need parts from this one? So long, sucker! And Fourthly, maybe I could make it a stander (Like Moonbase, but for pirates!) and use it at a con. Well, thanks for looking! EKnight
  23. Best part about this MOD is the raising of the sides. They were just too low, and didn't look all that good. A vast improvement overall! EKnight
  24. Thanks for the comments! Glad to see I am not alone in thinking the colour scheme isn't terrible. I'm not really one for functional steering. Sometime I would like to fill in the cabin with details, but I doubt I will actually do it. Not to mention, I don't really know any good ways to conect the rudder to the wheel. EKnight
  25. I guess I am alone in liking the colour scheme, but the Cross Bone Clipper was my first Pirate ship (I got it way back in 1998 or so, so one of my older sets, to boot) so I have a bit of nostalgia for that ship. More pictures can be found by clicking on the pictures, taking you to my photostream. EKnight
