  1. Very nice, I like those entrances on the top level
  2. Very nice, I like the interior of the tent, must try that some time, good work you bucket swivel (nice camp fire effect btw, is the sound included or did you add that in the movie ? )
  3. Wow, the sheer size of it Where is her widest point ? the forecastle seems pretty wide compared to the rest of the weather deck. Hehe, the Alceste and Vesta are shrimps compared to this titan
  4. Thank you for the nice comments I use a Sony DSC-T5, it's not particulary a good camera but I always take pictures in bright daylight, this is a disadvantage for stop-motions though, I made a a while ago but the lighting seems very bad.
  5. Jedi Temple Chancellor's Office Master Yoda's meditation chamber Kashyyyk Commander pink ruining the scene I intend to update this post whenever I made another set-up. By "One Shot, one kill" I mean that these set-ups have been built with limited viewing angles, I take pictures from those angles and that's what you see, what you don't see is probably not worth seeing anyway (rough edges). More pictures can be found in my mocpages folder
  6. Very nice, I love how you did its back-hair.
  7. Nice, that lightbrick really is a great add, a fantastic ship. the stern is my favourite part
  8. Arrrr, my ship drifted off to another sea (I came from the pirate forum and thought I should try a different kind of ship for a change). I started with the printed slope/wedge pieces from the original ARC-170 fighter which determined the colorscheme. The Jedi Interceptor design inspired me to shape the typical wings. I have been checking out the starwars moc index and I must say I'm impressed, there are some fantastic creations out there Thank you for watching.
  9. It's very unlikely that this ship would ever be produced, it doesn't play a major role in the movie so it is of less importance, if LEGO would consider bringing out another POTC ship they'd rather take the Flying Dutchman. Keep dreaming though
  10. I like what I see here, especially that small house in the first picture, do I spot a man-of-war in the background ?
  11. Nicely done, It's unlikely I'll use it, I only have one bucket and none of those pieces you used as barrel end Clever design though.
  12. Nice, it looks very lego-adapted, easy to mount on a ship My best Ideas come at midnight too
  13. I think he would transport the ship in 4 sections, I agree that carrying the ship around in one piece is very risky Splitting a vessel horizontally can be very complicated too and you'll get a lot of trouble trying to fix the masts in a steady manner. For such big ship I think the cross-sections are the best way to keep interior access (if you want that atleast). I originally wanted to split my flying dutchman horizontally so the decks could be taken out but eventually I realized I had to fix the deck in order to make the ship strong enough to carry itself. If I would redo it I might go for these sections as well, it would make it a lot easier to transport. My East-indiaman is becoming a huge fail, I wanted interior access so I placed the deck on tiles so it can be taken out. But because of the angled sides I can't take it out at all... The eternal compromise of interior access and good-looking exterior
  14. I really don't think there are instructions available for these alternate models. I do remember old sets could have extended instructions showing the first few steps of an alternate model and ofcourse many Technic sets have alternate models with instructions. But not the Armada Flagship
  15. Mounting them on the ship offers more stability
  16. [pid][/pid] 131D These rafts run over the water very fast, they are very light and agile. To keep that advantage they can only be armed with limited light weaponry; two rifles are mounted on the hull to have atleast some firepower. They are very effective when in great numbers to attack large slow ships, they can easely get close enough for boarding action while still evading broadside fire. (However, a singe cannonball would suffice to bring them down). Eventhough I'm a big fan of the original lego pirates I couldn't resist showing off my rafts like this (just for the record, that wreckage is actually the remains of the official Raft Raiders set). For more pictures visit Mocpages. (that is when mocpages isn't down )
  17. How about an East-Indiaman ? East + India -> Asia
  18. Suggestions ? Maybe you can design another more royal junk in a blue-white colorscheme for that other samurai clan from the ninja theme, perhaps decorate with gold accents, like that helmet crest
  19. He means that he doesn't do extra investments when he decides to build a ship, he uses the parts he already has, which I do most of the time too, except for this one: I spent about €100 at bricklink for additional parts. In total I think this ship is not worth more than €600. But it is to me therefore I will never sell it.
  20. That battle top looks excellent, the lower gun deck looks difficult to access but I suppose that doesn't matter much Keep it up! Agreed, that bow is fantastic, I've been trying to copy it (especially the headrails) to use on my East-indiaman but I haven't figured it out completely yet
  21. Very nice, you did a great job on those sails, I could never do it so well The water base is a nice add too, great for displaying. My favourite part would still be the decks
  22. Nicely done, pictures a bit fuzzy though
  23. [pid][/pid] Vignettes 221C I decided to enter the JRCIII anyway. Obviously I was inspired by SlyOwl and Legonardo their entries I just decided to make the merchant ship a little bit bigger A pirate cutter sneaked up on the east indiaman and pirates attempt to board the ship. The merchant ship was based on the Black pearl for a great part, it actually features a full interior (hold included) but I intend to redo a great part of the ship so until then no interior pictures That water bassin wasn't exactly my best Idea really .
  24. Well a story on itself doesn't say much I think but those eastern pirates would sure be though opponent, it would be cool to see them in a battle
  25. Long time That is one nice ship, I love how you made the sails look similar to the samurai flags, great crew as well.
