Nice, thanks for helping me out

Very nice, the facade is quite impressive, looks like an extraordinary building, great interior as well

About the Modular building style, does anyone know exactly how far the technic 2x1 bricks (with hole) are placed from the sides of a 32x32 baseplate ? I'm talking about the two technic bricks at the bottom of left and right sides of every modular house, they're used to attach them to each other, I don't have one myself and it's very hard to see it clearly on pictures. Anyway, basically all I need to know is how many studs are between a technic brick and the end of the baseplate ?

Awesome, only thing missing would be some blue (seawater), that doesn't have to be brick-built, a blue sheet serves well as background too. I really love those in-street views

Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread
Sebeus I replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
It's hard to decide which Guild to join I like the setting of Mitgardia but I'm not so keen on the yellow-green colors How important is it to stick to these colors ? -
Actually I contacted him, he tried joining EB long ago but stumbled upon technical difficulties, I don't know what that is specifically though

Great, now I'll never find my lower jaw again The more parts I have, the bigger and more detailed I build, If I had such large amount of parts, what should I do else than using them on say a ship like this
-
Your ship can't have a complete keel if it's a waterline model Anyway, stability also depends a lot on the size of your ship, a very big ship has a lot more stability issues. Maybe there's some confusion about the definition of a waterline model. I believe it's a model with the submerged part cut off, in other words only that part of the ship that is above the water

Come on guys, I want to read rigging, hull, cannon, masts, stern and nautical stuff
-
What a fleet It's incredible you have so many big ships at the same time, I like all of them, especially the bigger ones, I must say, the Concorde looks a lot like the Magicienne. I can't wait to get back to ship-building myself
-
One big disadvantages is strenght, a waterline model doesn't have a complete keel which dramatically reduces strenght, to counter that you'll need to either fix all decks or make the ship in multiple modules (so you carry it around in seperate sections). The big advantage is that it looks awesome on the surface (check this out), a waterline model is great for combining with port and island dioramas.

Very nice, I've been wanting something like this for years, I even considered to paint a belville cat at one point Fortunatly my sister got onto it, she made these nice brick-built versions. Ihope the cuusoo projects gets 10000 soon

Hi, I mostly build ships, in a way a ship is like a mobile castle, the foundation is replaced by a hull and there's a big focus on dynamic. The hardest MOC in my opinion are mocs I don't like to build, ships are my favourites, I enjoy making them and that makes it easier to come up with something decent. Since you are comparing with castles I have to say, I haven't been able to make a decent castle yet, I find them harder to build than ships

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
Sebeus I replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Maybe he didn't die there, I mean, we're talking about Starwars, how difficult can it be in that galaxy far away to fix someone cut in half I like the character for its mysterious appearance and nice fighting style. -

Darth Maul ofcourse, he's simple the coolest sith of all. Although, I usually prefer my made-up characters. -
Very nice, this actually is a very realistic set, interesting color scheme, black, darkgray and these white accents, it works. Did you by any chance find some inspiration in my version ? Some details at the stern look very familiar I like how you did the prow "jaws", they're nicely integrated with the hull. So... I wonder, can it float ? I'd love to see that.
-
He told me it was to resemble the copper plating on the hull. I guess that was a good Idea, back in the days copper wasn't so expensive as it is today, Completely out of the question in modern ships now I don't like the orange either, personally I think brown would have been better, copper isn't so bright orange anyway.

Very interesting, the use of Technic works well, although I think you'll get the best result when combining Technic and System (more than 0,1%), to finish those rough edges. Technic for the main skeleton and system for the details

About €450, that estimate is based on the price I payed for my sets, as far as that is relevant... I never realized it was that much

It's funny but the Yoda scene was actually the most easy one of all these scenes, I didn't bother for lighting at all, the blinds kind of automatically caused the effect, which is good Thanks for nice comments. I've been wanting to make more scenes but I can't find time now.

Very nice, This reminds me, I still haven't posted my brig, it looks pretty (very) similar to yours. Nice crew as well, I don't really have any suggestions other than those already mentioned, great job
-
Very nice, I have been experimenting with power functions on my ships as well, I never completed a ship with moving cannons though. Out of interest, what mechanism did you use to move the cannons ? I used this. And is it remote controlled ?

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Sebeus I replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
It could be because it really was an awful model, the black pearl set is easy, just a black hull with black sails. But for the FD the color scheme alone is already problematic, the characteristic double galleries is kind of impossible to build decently at such small scale, the whole prow, etc. Designing an FD set that can be sold at around 150$ and still look decent and accurate is a very big challenge I think. Btw, I've been contacted by BrickQueen, very popular on youtube for her lego reviews, she wants to support my Cuusoo Flying Dutchman project, that will give the project a boost I'm sure -
Nice, that does work, I still didn't dare to buy a friends set, just too embarassing for a male grown-up

Those extra gray tiles, maybe they are supposed to be placed on the grey studs on the top ?
