  1. It works best using 3x4 leaves, but it didn't have the enough of the right colour pieces to make it.
  2. Thanks guys! I was fiddling with fig parts and happened to put those headpieces on them and it just fell together- the shirtless Darth Maul is a great fig, I wish I had more to make a whole tribe. @SK, Cheers dude, but do you mean on the sea grass? Unless that parts also known as an antennae... @LegoDrake, I already have an idea for my next free build. I also have another idea for a tribes build, but I won't have enough time to finish it before the deadline, so I'll do it sometime for a freebuild. @ZC yeah my photography needs some work, I'm slowly improving from the days when I'd swing the camera up and cut peoples heads off. I did think I'd got an angle like you said, I must have missed it, if I get a chance I'll take another.
  3. "The Caniban are a tribe of part-human cannibals. Rumour has it that their ancestors were bred with demons, and the tribe themselves do nothing to dissuade this notion. Their skin is a natural jet black, and they tattoo themselves with brightly coloured inks to distinguish their role within the tribe. The warrior caste are represented by red, the colour of the blood they spill, whilst the priests are represented by yellow, the colur of the poison they coat their sacrificial daggers with. The tribe's village is located at the base of the Rakath Mountains, on the Eastern side, level with the southernmost point of the Kelra Labyrinths. Here we can see a priest, guarded by a warrior, about to perform a sacrifice in the ruins of an ancient temple- the victim is a poor nomadic caveman from the Rakath Mountains. Left, Priest, and right, Warrior." Extra views: This is my second entry to the Nocturnus Tribes. C+C welcome! Cheers!
  4. Great build, love the trees. Clever way to do the snow as well!
  5. Nice vig LD. Nice rock work, and bearded orcs/goblins!
  6. @ch_ris127 Yes! Someone used the croc figs! Welcome to the best guild, and the right side! @Legorski, looking good, can't wait to see the finished product!
  7. I might be wrong, but if you include your guild colours, the free build counts towards your guild even if it's built in a different area, I.e. Your sig fig visits a bazaar in Kaliphlin, carrying a Mitgardian banner. At least that's how I understood it.
  8. That's amazing! It's a great build that really evokes an underwater civilization, and the figs are brilliant- love the guy with two heads! Great story too. I would have never thought to do a tribe like this, and it's not the standard merpeople thing either, which I love! Skeleton merpeople, that's awesome.
  9. Stroll in and drink all of our mead and ale? You tight wearers must be mistaking us for those bearded ladies up north. We drink blood-wine. If you can drink more than a thimbleful, you're watering it down. Mwahaha! :P Welcome to GoH Asulf!
  10. I got a couple of the polybags free, and that sparked a brief Ninjago buying frenzy, but the set I wish I'd got more of is the Ninja Training Outpost- cheap, black ninja robes, nice weapons, and the rest is a useful parts pack.
  11. I'll be picking up some of those sets, mostly for the figs, and the sets have a few useful parts. I mostly want those facemask/cowl things.
  12. Cheers Gideon! Parts packs indeed, my army uses the zombie heads!
  13. @Starlbirth, at the moment, the base is a little colourful- it detracts from the wolves as they aren't colourful themselves. I'd use the lime green as an accent, in small amounts, and make the base predominantly brown. I do like your tall white mushrooms though, I'm tempted to do a mushroom forest now! @mkjosha it's slightly different to SoNE. There's no limit on free builds- as many as you want. Builds don't level you up- there's no personal gain in universe, unlike SoNE, but builds help you earn gold for your guild. Story Challenges (as opposed to the guild specific Challenges such as the Nocturnus Tribes) are split into different categories to allow people with differing sizes of collections to compete. The guys who run it have the benefit of experience, so they've made improvements for book 2- SoNE's in its infancy, plenty of bugs. There's also more of a community over here- from browsing the SoNE forums, it's a bit sparse and intermittent. There's always people around here. Lastly, it doesn't particularly matter what bricks you have, the new challenges are going to allow you to build in any guild (although you have to belong to a single guild), so there's scope for Avalonian forests, Mitgardian mountains, Kaliphlin bazaars, and Nocturnian swamps and all manner of others. Starting wise, make sure you're comfortable with joining Nocty, then sig-fig, make a tribe (assuming you decide to stay in Nocty, and this tribe doesn't have to be related to your sig fig, the challenge is about expanding the background more than anything), and hen MOC away! I hope that helps a little, I think I've got the major points down! Also, we have Enchanted Pumpkin Pie!
  14. Welcome to GoH! Nice intro and fig! I'm guessing by your colours you're joining Avalonia?
  15. Yeah I'm working on my second tribe, and ideas for my next free build. I'm also working and volunteering, so it's getting tricky to find Lego time, but I'm fitting it in! It definitely is quiet in here- I hope it's the calm before the storm!
  16. I quite like it too, but when I read it, it says "Star Wars" to me. I think it's the double-k in it, maybe "Eurbricka" instead? I know it's a minor change, but it works better for me. Just my two pence.
  17. @Kermit and HammerBro33 thank you! Yeah the monsters figs work best with Nocty, but I reckon the mummy works for Kaliphlin. Well if you give it a headdress.
  18. @DC, thanks and yeah he adept at slaps in the face with wet kippers. @Infernum and SK cheers guys!
  19. This Plus this Equals an Avalonian who was actually trying to dry his tights on his spear when he got caught by the monster. Clearly he wanted to be in Nocturnus, but he's not brave enough, so he had to settle for Avalonia.

I can boil a kettle (I make an epic cup of tea), I'm totally doing this. Thanks for the inspiration!
  21. @Kabel, thanks! I think I know what you're getting at- I wouldn't try it, they'd be inclined to eat you first. Cute? Has the cold up north dulled your brains? They're vicious creatures!
  22. @Niku cheers dude! The swamp monster is definitely underused, which is strange, given that they're available in such a cheap set. Plus they fit so well with. Nocturnus.

Damn, that sounds good. I keep meaning to brew my own stuff, but never get around to it.
  24. That's awesome, I do like the colour scheme- it's dark yet full of colour. Makes my head spin. That can't be a true Nocturnian, we give those things to our newborn as pets. They're not scary at all.
  25. This is awesome! So many details, I don't know where to begin!
