Wii U. Makes sense, I've heard reports of problems on all systems but I think the Wii U struggles the most out of all the platforms.

I've been waiting for some big sales to hit and consistently. The game honestly just isn't fun for me any more. It's glitchy, and at this point all the game is for me is running around grabbing collectibles. Don't really have the motivation to finish even the Story Packs. I'll still get some of the packs for the exclusive minifigs and the cute builds, but my interest now is 100% in the physical Lego. Also, the TTG episode was pretty cute and well done in my opinion.

Unikitty! 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
There's a leaked catalogue image on the Lego subreddit. Nothing actually shown, just a blank white CMF box (open, showing packets) with the Unikitty logo. Maybe these really are CMF after all? -
This might be the problem. I've seen many people treat The Simpsons with much more contempt than it deserves. A common perception is that the show is very crass and lacking morals like Family Guy or South Park (nothing against those shows, I love SP, but they're in a very different category), however that's not true for The Simpsons. It's a very heartfelt and sometimes even wholesome show, at least in it's golden age of the first ten seasons or so. No worse than some of the other properties Lego has produced over the years.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I hope the CMF series shows up somewhere soon near me. I haven't seen anything, even empty boxes that were sold out. -
LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
BlueberryWaffles replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't usually do SW, but the X-Wing and TIE might have to be purchases this year. I was kicking myself for years for not getting the last versions from 2012. The new (or I guess old) Falcon looks cool but there's no way I'm buying another Falcon for $170, I have the 2015 version and Super Heroes, Harry Potter, and maybe some SW sets will already stretch my budget this year. -
DC Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Guess I shouldn't be surprised about more Batman sets, even this soon after TLBM wrapping up. Did not expect Arkham Knight though! I assume that means the Batmobile will be the one from that game. Comes as a shock to me. The Arkham games were really popular but they wrapped up years ago and are outside Lego's usual age range. Hopefully the RC function won't be too distracting from the actual build.- 1,409 replies

So I finally watched Nightmare Before Christmas a few days ago. Really enjoyed it, but I'm having a hard time imagining what the Lego sets would be. Jack in the sleigh with reindeer? Maybe Oogie Boogie's circle lair thingy?

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Dick move, Lego. Dick move. I wonder how much the sales numbers will be affected by this. I have noticed the register thing though. A lot of stores only have them up by checkout where you can't take the time to feel them. Also, people can wish all they want but there's no way a fourth wave is coming. Even wave 3 is pushing it, and I have doubts about how well they'll sell. Every Lego aisle I see is packed full of TLBM sets that don't sell. (It's mostly the Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, and Scarecrow Pizza sets. Riddler Racer too. I haven't bought those last three because I know they'll be clearanced eventually.) Lego overflooded the market with TLBM sets, and it's coming back to bite them now. The last number is probably a mini Scuttler. Or something that was cancelled. Don't get your hopes up for another minifig. -
This is correct. I remember the whole deal about the Jetski having a new cowl back in early 2012. All of my wave 1 sets bought the week of release had Type 1 cowls. I bought Type 2s that January as I much prefer them.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Sounds like you'll have to order the piece individually on Bricklink. They should be available a little while into January as more people get them. -
The Fantastic Beasts thread has revealed that Nightmare Before Christmas, BTTF, and Ghostbusters could all be on the table for 2018. Never seen NBC, so I'll let others discuss that. As far as BTTF goes, we only got the DeLorean Ideas (at that time Cuusoo) set and two Dimensions packs. I think if BTTF is coming back, a DeLorean rerelease is the most likely set. The original is crazy expensive on the aftermarket and highly wanted by those who missed out on it. Doc's new hair piece from his Fun Pack can be reused. This time I would imagine Lego will redo the hood design, seeing as that was the biggest complaint with the Cuusoo set. Beyond the DeLorean I think the Time Train from Part III is the next choice. Lego knows there's an audience because of the train project that got 10,000 supporters years ago on Cuusoo. But there's lots of other ideas throughout the trilogy. The clock tower, the 1885 train, Biff's car from 1955, Marty's truck, the Enchantment Under the Sea dance, just to name a few. It wasn't specified whether Ghostbusters would be based on the originals or the reboot. I'm assuming originals since I don't think the reboot sets sold very well. (Stores near me had to clearance it off at 50%, and the Fun Pack based on it was cancelled.) Immediately the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man comes to mind. He's extremely iconic and would make a great set as shown by WetWired's great Ideas project. It could even come with marshmallow covered variants of the Ghostbusters and Walter Peck. I guess a remake of the original Ecto-1 could be possible, although that set wasn't retired too long ago. The Ecto-1a from Ghostbusters 2 could provide a similar car and still be something new. I would love to see Dana's apartment or the art museum, but those would probably have to be D2Cs.

Fantastic Beasts 2018 - Speculation & Future Set Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Ookami's topic in LEGO Licensed
So both were in the works, but it's unknown whether they're still coming? Any way though, this has me very excited. The Ecto-1 and Firehouse are some of my favorite sets, and I've been thinking for years about how much unused potential BTTF has. -

Either BTTF or Ghostbusters is coming back? You better not be messing with my heart. First HP and now this...2018 is going to be amazing! -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just in case this hasn't been pointed out. I was at Barnes and Noble today and they had all the TLBM sets for 30% off, with an extra 10% if you were a B&N member. Decent discount if they have sets you need. -
They had the Simpsons license already, I doubt that would change anything. And I have a feeling Disney wouldn't be as proud of having Simpsons as Fox was, so there might even be less of a chance.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Dunno how well it will go over with the general Lego audience, but I love this series seeing all these new pics! (I do wish Soccer Mom Batgirl was replaced with Barbara in her purple gala dress, but I guess nothing's perfect.) Definitely will complete this one. And the Batlogo on the display stands is a nice touch. I wonder if that's a one-off or we'll see more printed bases in the future. All the vacation minifigs are making me want to MOC a little beach scene to display them on. Should be a fun little project. -
I wish we could have had one more year (D2C plus CMF). But alas, was not meant to be. I think the choices for the minifigs in Series 2 may have led to it's decline. Plus the next year we got the Disney series and Castle D2C, which I assumed was the Simpsons replacement. (Weird there wasn't new Disney for 2017 though...I'm still hoping for a Disney S2.) Personally, I believe another factor in cancellation was the decision to do molded heads. No doubt it was crazy expensive to do a new mold for every single character.

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wasn't too impressed when the pics first popped up on Reddit, but now looking at the high quality pictures the sets are really growing on me. I like that they're both cheap too, I expected the ship to be at least $40 when I first saw it. Also the mine set is giving me Temple of Doom nostalgia, the cart is built very similarly to the ones in that set.- 3,962 replies

Interesting that a license that started with Dimensions is now expanding. Wonder if any others could happen.

Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation
BlueberryWaffles replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really like Black Widow and Gamora's new outfits from those photos. Maybe after four years we'll finally get Gamora in a black outfit. (Still miffed that both the Vol.1 and Vol.2 sets had her in the outfit she was only in for a smaller part of the movie.) -
Purely out of what I bought from this year: Best Theme: The Lego Batman Movie Best Minifig: Wonder Woman (76075) Best Set: Arkham Asylum Worst Theme: Marvel Super Heroes Worst Minifig: Kiss Kiss Batman (for not being released outside of a keychain) Worst Set: ATM Heist Battle Most Anticipated 2018: Harry Potter coming back!

Surprised this hasn't happened already. I also am shocked they haven't recolored the LOTR ring for Lantern Corps. -
Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation

I was just looking at the 2018 SW sets and noticed they have a new piece with swooshy hair plus a headset and comlink. The little comlink is unfortunate but I think think it would look great recolored on Peter Quill.
