The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
There's no way that a fourth wave is coming. After the like 20ish standard sets, a D2C, a Dimensions Story and Fun Pack, a bunch of polybags/exclusive minifigs, and 2 CMF series Lego has brought this line to way overkill. I love the sets, they're the most detailed Batman sets we've ever had (except for the Batcave IMO) but these can't continue. The market is too over saturated. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

According to a Reddit thread the Bricktober Batsuit set will be available from October 8th to 14th. Must spend $50 to get them. EDIT: this is for the US. -
Seems this is really a love it or hate it type of reactions. Personally I love the set. Wayne Manor looks wonderful, and the zany Joker decorations are great too. Lots of interior details I'm also liking. Couple of more notes: - I went back to the movie scene. That isn't the Eye of Sauron on top, there actually was a different eye in the movie. - I'm a little disappointed that Alfred doesn't have his cowl. It's actually different from the 1966 Batman, it also has a mustache printed on. - The reused minifigs aren't terrible in my opinion. They are all the versions that were in that scene, and there's enough other exclusive minifigs to satisfy me. Only one I would have liked was Agent Smith, considering Matrix is R which makes him not as likely to be put in a set for kids, however this set was specifically designed for older builders. - Of course, the rollercoaster! That looks sweet! Can't wait to see how those will be used in the future. - Does anyone know what pushing the big green piece in the Joker hair does? There's a picture showing to push it but I can't figure out the purpose. Overall, I really like this one. I will try to get it someday (just bought the '66 Batcave so I'll hold on for a while, but hopefully this will be around for a bit) and make a killer display of this, Jokerland, and the Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape.

Interesting. I would've thought that past Wave 9 they wouldn't put any more effort into the game. Guess it's a last ditch effort to sell Starter Packs by associating with the Lego Ninjago Movie.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation

Also Ravager Attack, if you count Mantis. She did end up joining the Guardians, so I'd say she's a justified hero in many eyes. -

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
To be fair, at least she came with a new mold of Santa's Little Helper. If these Batsuits are indeed also in the CMF, I expect proper hand, cape, and staff colors. Along with possibly a molded wizard hat/cowl. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

In the movie, Condiment King had red and yellow versions of the Squishee cup with straw for ketchup and mustard shooters. In the leaked set pictures, they are instead grey stud shooters with red and yellow studs. -
I'll join the "want a UCS Milano" crowd. It would be a great D2C, and Lego has plenty of experience making UCS spaceships. Also might be a chance for some more unique GOTG minifigs, like Peter in his grey shirt with the logo on it from GOTG 2 or the pink skinned woman from the beginning of the first movie.

Love the minifig pack! The first time I've actually been interested in a Bricktober promo. I hope the stores get a fair amount of them, I missed out on 2015 Hulk and Tiger Tuxedo Batman because my TRU sold out so fast. -
My Hopes for LEGO Batman Movie Minifigure series 2
BlueberryWaffles replied to Fifulin's topic in LEGO Licensed
Swamp Creature was a previously released minifig, so I doubt we'll see him. Now, Agent Smith and the generic, non-Stripe Gremlin have not been released, so they might have a chance. I also think that Series 2 might be a good time to release 60's suit Alfred, seeing that the Classic Batcave D2C will most likely be retired by then.- 92 replies

Wouldn't it be amazing if it had a Death Star number of minifigs? Except instead of different versions of some characters, it would just be like 24 or 25 characters.- 8,371 replies

Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
While I would love a LOTR revival, I have to say it's not as likely. HP is still super popular with kids, teens, and now even adults that grew up with the books as kids. LOTR has just more of an adult-oriented fanbase. If (and that's a strong if) it came back, it would probably just be one big D2C, like Bara-Dur or Minas Tirith. I hope this is eventually the case. I know they made a Peeves back in 2001, but there's so much stuff left out of the movies that could be snuck into sets.- 8,371 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I know it will probably happen, but I'm hoping for no vehicle. It'll take up too many parts, and all the small vehicles (jetski, Whirly-Bat, Bat-Kayak) have already been in sets. I can only think of the Chopper as one that was prominent in the book but not in any sets, and that's a decent sized helicopter. A moving bookcase would be cool. I wonder if somehow it could work with the Batcave Break-in set, and connect there somehow. -
Ranking just the ones I own: 5. Killer Croc's Tail Gator- Nice looking truck, I like the minifigs, and the Bat jetski is cute, but the price kills this one. I originally wasn't thinking about getting it, only swaying when I found it at Walmart for $30. At that price I'm very happy with it. 4. Batcave Break-In- Mixed feelings about this one. I love the Batman Returns-inspired ducky boat car. Batboat is nicer than the 2016 version. Minifigs are great, especially Alfred. But the Batcave itself is just sort of lacking. I think the jail should have been cut and repurposed those parts to build up the other sections. Maybe move the Batboat to a different set and have those parts also build onto the Cave. I bought this to replace the 2012 Batcave, which I wasn't fond of and is sitting in pieces somewhere, but this one isn't perfect either. 3. Penguin Arctic Roller- Car looks amazing. Brings back memories of the Shanghai Chase set from Indiana Jones. Minifig selection isn't good, could've used another random villain or two thrown in. 2. The Batmobile- Love the design of this car. It just looks so intimidating while still being over-the-top and ridiculous, perfecting fitting this Batman's personality. Wish it was screen accurate, but I guess it's close enough. Good minifig selection, only stinker in the bunch in Man-Bat who didn't get a movie upgrade. 1. Arkham Asylum- My personal favorite set of 2017 so far. It's huge, it finally has all the included villains in jumpsuits, lots of interior details in the different rooms. and expands the GCPD with a nice squad car and officers.

Looks like it's just the Penguin hat and a beard piece. It's the same one used on the Series 17 Dwarf in white, isn't it? -
Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

This would make me so happy! I loved the most recent HP line very dearly. Got every set except for the Hogwarts Express. (Yes, still kicking myself over that one.) Hope especially with a CMF line they could release a lot of missed out on characters, like Tonks, Slughorn, and Kingsley. Plus modern versions of characters only in the older sets like Mad-Eye, Tom Riddle, Lockhart, Umbridge, Krum, Trelawney, Sirius, Peter Pettigrew, the list goes on and on... Undoubtedly if this is true a D2C Hogwarts must be in the works.- 8,371 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Sets look decent. There's a lot of things that I'm hoping are placeholders though: - In the Bat-Space Shuttle, one of the Batsuits is just the normal Batman minifig with a white head, and one is just normal Robin with a white head and red legs with green hips. Presuming the Robin one will be Murcielago, but I wonder what the Batsuit will be. I also don't recognize the blue one, but if I remember right it's the same color scheme as the Nightwing suit except this image has the basic cowl. - Didn't Captain Boomerang have a different hat in the movie? - The Phantom Zone projector is still the inaccurate one from Arkham. Rewatching the movie while I built the Arkham set, I noticed that in the movie it also has an extra light bley disc, a light blue trans stud, the magnifying glass has no printing, and the part that connects the dish to the camera is red instead of clear. -

It looks like it actually is Ben Reilly in the Sandman set! He has red arms and hands with a blue torso. Sandman's dump truck is cute and I'm looking forward to a simplified torso for him. (Never liked the six pack on the 2015 figure.)- 5,808 replies

Nightwing vs. Joker is cute. I guessed correctly that Joker would be based on his TLBM look. Batman vs. Harley is just meh. I love Brainiac's car and the little Kandor piece in the Supergirl vs. Brainiac set.- 1,409 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BlueberryWaffles replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really hope it's all Wayne Manor and no Batcave. We've had Batcaves before, but outside of the small room in the 1966 show Batcave there hasn't ever been anything for Wayne Manor. Especially considering we just got a Batcave in the first wave, which will probably stick around to be alongside this set.
