  1. Ooh, a Simpsons set! Looks like they're really putting the Dimensions licensing to good use! I'm a little surprised they picked Krusty over Bart, considering how they just started to release smaller characters.
  2. Very impressive. That rendition of Lockwood manor is huge!
  3. Wow, another Batman. Yippee.
  4. This was intentional tie-in. The movie logo is on the box art, along with a cartoon picture of the Christian Bale Batman. The Tumbler also hasn't appeared in any other Batman media besides those movies. (At least, at that time. Pretty sure it eventually showed up in TLBM.)
  5. The Dark Knight Rises went a little risque too, that still got a set. I still think it would be weird for Lego to get such an iconic license just for one set, and that set being an oversized car. Something tells me there must be more up their sleeves.
  6. So about the Great Home Escape set,
  7. The first Batman series was the series I had the most issues with. Two of my Batmen had their head prints misaligned, meaning the cowl didn't line up with the face, and my Pink Power Batgirl had a misprinted torso. IMO, the CMF are a lot more likely to have issues.
  8. Agreed. There's been way too much Joker in this theme. I'm really glad we're finally getting Firefly, and hopefully this opens the door to more of the Bat villains we've never gotten: Mad Hatter, Solomon Grundy, Black Mask, Ventriloquist, Hush, the list goes on and on... The set itself is nice, but unfortunately it looks like the Batmech doesn't have any shoulder articulation.
  9. I hope the Firefly helmet at least gets reused for Wasp in the future. It's too perfect not to.
  10. Looking good! Worth the wait to see these, they're wonderful. Especially impressed with the new legs. So were those rumors about a chase figure true? If so, which figure is it?
  11. That's the color they should be. My theory for the minifigures being the wrong colors is Lego did the original figs based on concept art for the first Guardians movie, and then just wanted to stay consistent going forward.
  12. I love the Rocket and Groot set! Groot is perfect. The top of Rocket's head is a little too flat IMO but that can be easily changed. Love the use of Wolverine claws for Rocket's whiskers, and that Groot is holding what I assume to be his Space Invaders game. This just makes me want so many more IW characters in Brickheadz form. Thor with Stormbreaker, Iron Spider, Doctor Strange, the list goes on and on. Hopefully we'll get more for Avengers 4.
  13. After seeing the Groot and Rocket two-pack, I'm calling it now: Drax will get a Brickheadz next year to finish the original GOTG team. Mantis is also a possibility.
  14. The Aquaman set sounds most likely to me. It seems like DC is really going to push the movie at SDCC, and we also have the classic Aquaman exclusive to tie in with that theme. 2019 Marvel is most likely going to be all MCU-based, which unless we get a Captain Marvel trailer too seems unlikely.
  15. There's three certain things in this world: death, taxes, and constant bickering about how well Doctor Who sets would sell.
  16. I mean technically, they're not wrong. And that's the best piece to represent a Bowtruckle. It's also too small to print on, so plain green makes sense.
  17. I think a fair amount of these have shots at Brickheadz sets. Right now it seems like Lego is aiming them more toward older collectors, who would be more likely to want merchandise from these classic franchises. Beetlejuice and Wizard of Oz are the two that jump out at me as having most potential to become Brickheadz.
  18. Guess this will be an easy pass. Not a huge problem for me, I'm looking forward to seeing how they expand their minifig sized Hogwarts throughout further waves.
  19. I assume that means Rocket is wearing his dark blue outfit from Infinity War, right?
  20. Avengers 4 will most likely get another four figures just like Infinity War did.
  21. I don't really think that will happen because of how many other things Lego has to cover. Now we're up to three MCU movies a year, and that doesn't even include extra sets for the cartoon shows. There's not enough room in the lineup.
  22. They're modern. Definitely not based on the design in the picture. My guess is that the Little Mermaid two-pack, Frozen trio, and Ghostbusters two-pack are coming in August, that's what this ad is referring to. I think the HP ones come out earlier, but if not, they'll most likely release at that time too.
  23. Doubt it. Planty was in the first Lego Movie, in Emmet's apartment toward the beginning. That was months before the first GOTG was even released. This is most likely a callback to the first Lego movie IMO.
  24. Didn't think about it that way. Makes sense now.
