Unread content? Bugged? Or how to use it?
MKJoshA replied to Kalais's topic in Forum Information and Help
I'll add that the "Content I Started" stream is suffering from the same issue. My Dragon Masters topic that I created this week isn't show up in the feed. -
They probably had more demand than sets in stock. It happens, especially when there's a promo running like x2 points. I had that happen to me for the Daily Bugle. Took forever to get the set shipped, but after 2 months it finally arrived. I "complained" after a month and they sent me some free points. Thankfully I didn't need it urgently for a present or anything. I bought it because it was on sale and too good to pass up. Hopefully the same will happen for you.

Resetting the streams sounds like a good option. I've built my own streams before to try to get around the errors in the default ones. What you've stated is accurate. -
I wouldn't go so far as to call them a scam, but I think your analysis is too lite on Lego. The reality is that you get that exclusive GWP only if you buy the set on the first day, sometimes within the first few hours. And yes, the terms and conditions say "while supplies last." But to create a limited number of copies of a highly valued GWP and then create a history of there not being enough to last past the first day and you get the nightmare that GWPs have become. It's not a scam and there's no deceit. But I would say there is plenty of marketing trickery going on. What Lego should do is mass produce the GWPs to ensure they have enough to last the entire promo period. And then any left overs get sold at retail price (I've seen many of them listed at $30 retail value). They can even wait 6 months before selling the remaining stock to ensure day-one buyers get to enjoy it more before the general public.

My plan is to use one for display and the other to part out. I'd use the figures and pieces in MOCs. At that price, it's going to be a great PPP and with figures I couldn't get for decent prices on the aftermarket. I really want to keep one for display, but I also love making my own scenes. That's why I ended up getting a 2nd Rivendell. With Barad-Dur I just ended up buying a 2nd set of the orcs. I don't need more black pieces and I'm not going to MOC often enough with the Mouth or Sauron to justify paying $60 each for them. Though the helmet is tempting me...

Oh wow, they did it. They did it justice. It's amazing. I think the tan for the baseplates is an odd choice, but it doesn't diminish just how incredible this looks. I may need to go sell some of my older sets so I can afford to get 2 copies.

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2026 - READ FIRST POST!!!
MKJoshA replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
@BrickPrick @Napoleon3 That's how I do it. This deal is getting worse all the time! It does seem like the Smart sets are taking up slots of regular sets. Time to start disliking the SB even more. -
Book IV - Prelude 1: Queen Ylspeth's Tower Study

It's subtle, but that curved wall is really good. Love all the little details and of course seeing the Guilds active again! -
[MOC] Arabian Knights-Protectors of The Princess
MKJoshA replied to T-86(swebrickLUG)'s topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Some great details like the man bending down to pick up coins and great part usage like the hips by the water pool. I know it's hard to get color in an arabian build, but I'd say a little more color wouldn't have hurt. Though overall an impressive MOC and good luck with Brickscalibur! -

Built for Brickscalibur Heist of the Century collab category with Deltassius. As a seperate note, I have new Flickr account since I used up my limit on the first. I'd appreciate it if you follow my new account which I used to upload these photos. "Quick!" she whispered, "put your back into it!" His only response was a quiet grunt. All three thieves knew they had to be quiet as a mouse if they were going to pull of this heist. Everyone knew you didn't steal from wizards, at least not if you wanted to escape not looking like a newt. But you especially didn't steal from a wizard while he was in his tower casting spells! But all three also knew that if they pulled this off they would be known as the greatest thieves ever. The rates they could charge! Some would probably even call this the Heist of the Century! So it was worth the risk, stealing this giant treasure chest right out from under the nose of Grinnwixh the Grand. And a shot without figures:

Did you mean step 361? It looks like you just need to clip it onto the larger structure. The circled/highlighted part is for making sure your sections lined up. If the slope is there, next to the grey 4x4 panels then you got it right.

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2026 - READ FIRST POST!!!
MKJoshA replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I was thinking through my personal list and Kenobi was so bad I had actually forgot about! That said, we're derailing into media discussion, which has it's own thread. As for EU Boba training Jaina, that was an amazing piece of EU literature. I love that arc. -

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
MKJoshA replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
As has been showcased, there are plenty of times pieces have only been available for a short period on PAB. So that's always a risk. I just think that the Vending Machine parts aren't going to be like that. There's been too much chatter from official Lego sources about their placement on PAB for them to be a limited run. I could be wrong, but it feels like those are pieces we won't have to worry about. Nevertheless, I've already placed 2 orders to get at least a small handful of the parts I want -
LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
MKJoshA replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
In a vacuum I'd be inclined to agree with you. But the problem is Megablocks showed great shaping, detail, and articulation can be done at a smaller scale. To be lacking in these areas compared to one of their competitors and then charge x times more is what bothers me. -
Book IV - Mitgardia: Guild Sign-up and Discussion

Looking forward to some great builds from you all! -
Thanks for putting this together. I somehow missed the green Kraken legs the first time I went looking. The brown haven't been in stock since launch. I wonder when they will be released.

LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
MKJoshA replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
So far these are all an easy "pass" for me. Way too much money for sets that are just ok. Have you all seen the commercial yet? That is so cringe. Openly marketing to millennials and calling them out for still being obsessed with the toys they grow up with (of which I am one, I admit) doesn't seem like a great marketing strategy.
